2 out of 5 eggshorrible USB and IDE performance.

Pros: small form factor, basic video for media center playback. basic sound. price was right for me and i needed a small AM2 motherboard.

Cons: USB performance is inconsistent, i'll get good speeds one day and almost USB 1 speeds another. there was a USB speed boost driver which seemed to make the speeds faster for a second, then drop off after a bit in a big file transfer and generally the program seemed buggy and would pop up messages asking me to remove and re-insert the USB drive. also the USB port once in awhile doesn't recognize that i put in my iphone or other device and need to replug. i gave up troubleshooting the USB and stuck in a PCI card with 4 USB ports. IDE performance was so bad i didnt put in an IDE drive. 3 MB/sec. it was unusable.

Other Thoughts: USB is flaky at best. IDE is unusable. video is acceptable for my needs but not good for games. SATA works okay. it has some overclocking features in the bios i might tinker with but have my reservations about doing much with this board since it seems like it wasnt tested very well before putting it out there.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is the reason i love ASRock

Pros: It makes overclocking soooo easy. so easy a kid could do it. and it has everything a mobo should have. LOVE IT

Cons: only downfall is that the front mic and headphones never worked, also tried the front ports on other cases same problem.

Other Thoughts: after about a year of nonstop use, all of the back usb ports died. as well as the sound ports died. so im pretty sad about that.

5 out of 5 eggsGood budget board

Pros: Reliable, affordable, solid, budget board. I am giving this 5 eggs for what you get in comparison to what you pay for. Obviously you can get more options and variety in more expensive boards. However if you research this board carefully to make sure it will meet your requirements, this will serve you well. This is used in my main PC and I game a lot. It has not given me any issues. Some people here complained it is slow in games, I can't verfiy, but I can verify I can play all my games and they run well. I have used a NVIDIA 8800 GTS and currently ATI 5770 without problems. I have a Phenom III that this motherboard unlocked in the 4th core in the bios so I bought a "4 core" processor for the price of a 3 core. Thanks ASRock! :)

Cons: Can't really think of one. 2 memory slots maybe? Well I am only using 2 sticks of Ram Dual channel so not really a con for me. Should I list a con because it's a micro board? Well that could be like ordering a small pizza then complaining it's not a large.

Other Thoughts: For a micro-board the layout is nice. I was concerned my PCI x16 video card could cover my PCI x1 slot but it doesn't. I was able to get a TV tuner card in there. *Whew* This was my first ASRock motherboard and I will check them our FIRST when I am ready to purchase a new one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Great price, easy install, booted first shot & recognized all hardware! running Knoppix 5.3.1 - no problems. Great service from the Egg!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Had an Acer T-180 for the grand kids that went south...This ASRock board fit the bill...... I may just look @ ASRock when I upgrade my old Asus M2N32-SLI this Nov.

5 out of 5 eggsNIce!

Pros: It's is a nice little mobo, Somewhat limited on how much RAM you can install, being that you can put an AM3 processor (Athlon2 X4) in it, it will take up to 8GB but I don't think they are ever going to get up to 4GB x2 on DDR2 RAM.
regardless of this It has an excellent easy to use Bios That is easy to tweak, setting your RAM to 1066 is as easy as it gets three clicks and your done. IT has a bit of a temper with windows 7. But it is fixable with patience. Over all, great buy, real cheap, and works good.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: there customer service is good also, I had a OS related question and had an answer in 24hrs.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: AM2, AM2+, AM3 support, I'm using an AM3 CPU right now and it works great. The OC Tuner is good for overclocking, but I rather use the BIOS for CPU. Has lots of utilities with it including ASRock OCTuner.
Cheap, got it in a combo pack.
Overclocked a Sempron X2 2200 Dual Core from 2.0ghz to 2.75ghz, 2.8GHz wasn't stable, 3GHz didn't work.

Cons: I don't know how to overclock the RAM but that's not Mobo's fault.
The utilities on the driver disk pretty much don't work on Windows 7 Ultimate, I couldn't install utilities at all, not even click install button - But I OC with BIOS anyways.
Not a lot of slots for RAM, only 1 PCI-E but I don't use SLI or Crossfire anyways.

Other Thoughts: Cheap Mobo, good for overclocking. I'd recommend this to anyone who uses DDR2 RAM. But it does lack some more slots of RAM

5 out of 5 eggsGood, basic, no frills board

Pros: Price and features. Appears to be decent quality for Asus's budget brand. Layout is logical and easy to work with for such a small board. Plenty of overclocking options for the casual tweaker but I don't think this would please a fanatic. Good processor support for mid to fairly high end builds. ASRock's website has current BIOS, drivers and manuals available.

Cons: None at the moment.

Other Thoughts: I bought this MB primarily for the price and free shipping. First ASRock I've ever owned and would definitley consider them again. I'm using this in a backup PC and needed a home for an AMD x2 7550 that was replaced by a Phenom II Quad. No use selling a decent dual core CPU for pennies when motherboards like this are so affordable.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: None it wouldn't power up. I thought I might have a bad PS but that checked out and I know the CPU is good.

Cons: I am a little upset that I have to pay for shipping this broken item back, but my history with newegg would indicate this problem will be solved

Other Thoughts: I guess you get what you pay for,

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: Easy instructions to follow in the manual for setup, this motherboard is actually smaller than i though so it can fit into a smaller case! Fast shipping

Cons: If only someone told me that my power supply was dead i would be able to boot, but no problems simply ordered one from newegg!

2 out of 5 eggsNOT GOOD FOR GAMING

Pros: Great price, OC software, System stability with wide range of products (other than video cards).

Cons: This board would get a 5 star rating if you could use Geforce ddr3 cards in it. If you want to play games and get this board, DONT. It is incompatible with all 8000 series cards. I have wasted over 150 dollars on 2 8600 GT OC ddr3 cards and one 8600 GTS card. They will show corrupt screens at boot and just recieved tech support saying they can not handle mid or high end cards.

Other Thoughts: Why make a board that can run all medium high end cpus and memory but can not run video cards. Why even put the pcie slot there?

Do I keep my cards or my board.....of course, the boards got to go.
