2 out of 5 eggsworked for 1 year

Pros: worked well until warranry period was up
good layout
plenty SATA connectors
lots of expansion slots

Cons: began to not post all the time untill eventually hardly ever posted at all. Eventually could not get to post again.

Other Thoughts: I'd rather have a MB that failed right away than one that made it just until the warranty was up!

4 out of 5 eggsASROCK MB

Pros: This Motherboard (MB) has been a solid performing board for my computing and gaming needs. Easy install of MB and cards. Small board with big board characteristics. Was told about it by a friend when I needed to upgrade. Would highly recomend if you are on a budget and need bang for your buck. Great buy!

Cons: Board is limited in size for high-end multi-video card and multi-processor gamers.

Other Thoughts: Very happy with this board. Big thanks to Asrock for a great product!

3 out of 5 eggsDead After 1 year

Pros: For the price, Bios for overcloking are easy to handle. PCIE 2.0, Dual Channel Memory supported...etc

Cons: No good Bios Updates for the motherboard, sometimes doest recognize DL layers dvd burners, Sata connector do not stay on the motherboard i had to used crazy glu for keep them attached to the motherboard. Before the motherboard die did not recognize any sata devices, so i installed ide hard drive and cd ron, it worked for 2 days then die completly.

Other Thoughts: Ill spend a little more $$$ getting a better Brand.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Once it's fired up it's very stable. ONCE you get it running. Got 20 minutes?

Cons: At first I thought it was DOA because it would not POST. Then I realized that it takes FOREVER to POST. We're talking 5 SOLID minutes at least. While I'd love to tell you maybe I'm embellishing, I'm not.

To me the board feels lightweight and chintzy. I felt like I was going to break it if I even breathed on it. And the layout is TERRIBLE. Some rising star decided that it would be a great idea to put the 24-pin right next to the CPU. Lesson to the wise: harness up the 24 pin BEFORE you install the CPU.

Half the time it refuses to recognize the video card. The other half the time it refuses to recognize its onboard video. It will usually do the exact opposite of what you want, prompting you to cold restart it (see above comment about POST times)

I cannot say enough things about how awful this board is.

Other Thoughts: This mobo was part of a "min spec" machine, so the goal was to build a terrible junker box. This board did not disappoint! I was afraid this board might actually be somewhat good and just serviceable but a plain and homely workhorse. Have no fear, this thing is genuinely BAD.

$70 is hideously overpriced for this board.

5 out of 5 eggsVideo tips

Pros: Runs great, can play blue-ray movies with this board. I do not have AC and the system can run great even at a room temp of 98, with just the CPU fan, one front case fan, and the power supply fan.

Cons: Have tried two PCI-e Video cards,( one BFG's Geforce 9400 GT with 1GB VRAM ) with both cards the computer will not boot. so you will need to make sure the Video Card you want to use will work with this board 1st.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: The built in graphics card is great and gives a clear picture when gaming. The O.C. hardware it comes with is awsome, and the overall board is very nice set up. great for the price and you wont be disapointed.

Cons: instructions were confusing when hooking up the hard drive, but thats more an installer error

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: Great board easy to install

Cons: The board flexes quite a bit when trying to install memory I would recommend installing the ram before installing it into your case as other reviews have stated.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Board

Pros: Great features, nice solid caps for the CPU, took my ol' Athlon 3800+ no problem. Came shipped with 1.90 BIOS which supports AM3 procs up to Phenom II Quad Deneb 3.4GHz! Can't wait to upgrade the CPU!

Bought this board because of the price, compatibility with hardware I already had, and upgradability. Really impressed with the quality of the board!

I was worried when I read some more reviews on this board (after I ordered) but mine is working beautifully! Sound is great compared to my previous board, listening to 24bit FLAC files right now.

Cons: Onboard USB for front panel won't power my little 2.5" external HDD with the dual-head USB cable. Meh. Not enough to knock off an egg.

Other Thoughts: This board, like others I've owned, is particuarly picky trying to boot while a USB Flash Drive or iPod is connected through USB. Once I removed my wife's iPod, it booted very quickly. Have not tried the instant boot feature yet, but I'm sure it's just HORM borrowed from XP Embedded.

BTW Windows 7 x64 Ultimate installed with no issue at all even on the nVidia RAID. Needed no extra drivers at all. WEI Gaming is 4.9, CPU 4.9. Not bad for a 5 year old proc and onboard video...
