4 out of 5 eggsBurning Good

Pros: First off it is a great motherboard and I love the energy mode and the flashstart mode. Also the fact that it can do SLI or Crossfire is just another bonus I love this motherboard.

Cons: Only one problem my first one actually caught fire due to a flaw in the design... the company was great at replacing the peice and shipping was fast. I do enjoy :D

5 out of 5 eggsVery Satisfied, 7months owned ++

Pros: I have owned and been running for 7 months.
Excellent performance for the money.
Supports Dual channel OC RAM, with max of 16GB. This will last me at least another two years.
With my SSD upgrade, I'm actually not missing SATAIII too much right now. If you are buying a NEW mobo now, I would recommend finding a SATAIII version that supports Triple Channel RAM to have "upgrade-ability" option.

Cons: None so far. Again, have owned and operated for 7 months now.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well with all my components

Pros: This motherboard worked right from the start with all my hardware, haven't experienced any compatibility problems

Cons: There was a burr on one of the pins for the 24-pin ATX port, which I had to MacGuyver back into place with a knife and the point of my smallest pair of needle-nose pliers. This was probably just bad luck, though, as I'm sure most of their boards do not have this defect. After correcting the bent pin, the PSU plugged in just fine and I've experienced no problems

Other Thoughts: Partial specs:
COOLER MASTER ELITE 335 RC-335-KKN1-GP Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
MSI N250GTS Twin Frozr 1G GeForce GTS 250 1GB 256-bit
Kingston HyperX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (running at 1333mhz)

Running this build with this motherboard for about 8 or 9 months now

2 out of 5 eggswrong purchase

Pros: cheap, works sometimes, lots of features

Cons: the network card cannot be found
when I try to fix it by downloading the latest BIOS,
CMOS checksum bad.
Well.. if I were still in high school, I'd be happy to dig in and find out why, but with deadline and pressure, this board is just not a trustworthy weapon.

Other Thoughts: I bought it out of its price and tons of features. But gee, there is no free lunch in the world. Tons of features is worthless when critical parts fail. Network card is a pretty critical part for me, and the cmos checksum prevents me from fixing it. Calling support number nobody answered (Saturday), I am pretty sure Asus will deliver a much better experience. Cheap computers is only for people with ton of time, or people who want to build tons of computers. Not good for people (like me), with time budget and only one computer to build.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible.

Pros: 0

Cons: My mother ordered this for me for christmas, to finish my new build. This had been the second one she ordered, first one was DOA.Now the second one Has Dead Usb ports, the pci-e slots power my video card fan, but don't show anything on the screen.Highly dissapointed -.-

Other Thoughts: Why does newegg sell this garbage?I'd rather go outside and play with neighborhood kids, then to use this mobo.& i'm a huge nerd.

1 out of 5 eggsDied after 1 year

Pros: liked almost everything about board. SEE BELOW

Cons: Made with components. Poor and slow support.
Bought board Nov 16,2009, built Dec 20,2009,died Nov 20,2010. Board only has a 1 year warranty from PURCHASE date. They will repair for $35 and shipping, but only have 3 months warranty.

Other Thoughts: Should have bought a better board from a manufacturer that stands behind their, product like Gigabyte, that has a 3 year warranty.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board, especially for the money

Pros: It's pretty well laid out, easy to install everything. Runs cool, and overclocks well. The new bios update added some nice overclocking features, and the vaious buttons on the board, especially the clear CMOS button in the back, are very useful.

Cons: The right-angle SATA ports were a bit of a pain to install in my class. As others have mentioned, the RAM is right against the graphics card, but it works well. Could use another fan plug, and placement of them can be annoying. Not huge issues.

Other Thoughts: It's a terrific board for me. Cheap, and it's doing just fine on overclocking.

Definitely update the BIOS right away, mine was like a year behind, and the update had some upgrades.

I'm running an i5 750 @ 3.8ghz plenty stable, Corsair H50 cooler (57C under load!), 8800GT, and 700W OCZ power supply.

5 out of 5 eggs1 year - fine

Pros: Install went great, has held up for 1 year. Did not even attempt to overclock. Paired with i5/750, ATI 4850, all at standard clocks, it does very well in 3D games including crysis (even if not at the highest resolutions).

Cons: None so far. It's not the latest, don't expect USB3 / sata III on a year old board!

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Looks are about the only plus.

Cons: The owners manual is horrible. I have never in all my experience with many brands of motherboards found such a bad manual. The board BIO's are junk and I nor any of my tech friends could get them to work right. DO NOT BUY THIS BOARD. I bought it because of fairly good reviews (4 stars at the time). Now after owning the board I have found that this board is junk. I would recommend trying to run your computer with a mouse and a mouse wheel before attempting to use this motherboard.

Other Thoughts: Will be returning to Newegg for a RMA refund and getting a different brand. Probably from a local store because I do not want to wait.

5 out of 5 eggsP55 Extreme = satisfied

Pros: This motherboard has lasted over a year now for me (purchased October of 2009). I have not had one major thing go wrong with it since it was first installed. Only problem I had was minor (see in CONS section). I do plan to eventually my CPU as I currently use a Core i5 quad. Went through a couple graphics card upgrades and board would post fine with them.

Playing around with the BIOS settings were not hard to figure out and I have everything set to how I want it. currently using Intelligent Overclocking Mode [I.O.T.] instead of manual overclocking for now.

THUMBS UP in my book!

Cons: Sometimes my system would freeze at the STARTING WINDOWS screen and my dr. debug would show me a # along with hearing a beep.

Other Thoughts: ASRock has always been a favorite mobo manufacturer of mine. My last board of theirs was a 939Dual-SATA2 model. Sadly, after about a year, it had problems. After all my troubleshooting, I had to say goodbye to it.

For a future build, I want to try one of their AM3 boards and get a six-core CPU!
