5 out of 5 eggsGood Motherboard for price.

Pros: -Easy to install
-Beautiful Desing
-Works perfect in DDR3 1600 Profile on black slots

Cons: The Bios Fan config come with an option that make my Cool Master CPU Cooler System run at full speed. you must configurate some options to get automatic speed.

Other Thoughts: I don't make OC, maybe if you are looking for "Extreme" OC, you should try another one. too many people had have problems with OC on ASRock Mobos. Maybe the word Extreme in the Logo make you think that this mobo is for extreme OC :D

4 out of 5 eggs2nd Review and Eating My Words

Pros: Purchased 2-4-11 Had problems with well ...everything, ordered an entire system at the same time, well had to RMA most of it. Asrock still has yet to reply to my email and ethernet port still doesn't work. But AMD did reply and they were right the prob was with my CPU, I ended up keeping the board because I couldn't afford to go up to the Gigabyte UD5, and my friend said he'd take it since he doesn't need it for Internet anyway.
Well the cpu and a 560ti made a difference, it unlocked my X3 into a X4 and although limited in it's OC'ing ability which I knew before I bought it, it's held up nicely.

Cons: Ethernet port doesn't work at all. Not for serious Overclocking (read professional reviews), however it does have it good points too.
Good board layout, vid card does NOT cover PCI E port, enough space for Crossfire or SLI although only 8x pipes with the chipset. Most LG CPU coolers won't cover ram slots, and with lots of air board stays at 30-34c when being pushed.

Other Thoughts: I was wrong to crucify this board in my early review, it just didn't seem that my new AMD cpu and my Giga 6850 would both be bad, but they were the vid card was discontinued due to issues and AMD said I had a bad CPU.

This still isn't the best board on the market by along shot, I'm not even sure it's the best in it's price range. But it probably is the best overall 890 at this price, since nic cards are a dime a dozen.

I wish NE would let us edit or post, since I can't I man enough to admit I was wrong.

Newegg did right me right with my RMA's

1 out of 5 eggsIf it only Worked

Pros: Great looking, Packaged Great, Easy to install, Nice accessories.

Cons: If it only worked without problems. Had BIOS issues.
Also ran hotter then the Gigabyte board I replaced it with.
Sent it back

Other Thoughts: As with others who have purchased ASRock products and have had questions or problems all I have to say is "WHAT TECH SUPPORT!!!!!!" I am still waiting for a reply from them.

1 out of 5 eggsNot happy!!!

Pros: Board looks cool. Setup was a breeze. Was initially impressed.

Cons: The UCC function doesn't work!!!! I spent a ton of cash after researching this board and thought I could buy an AMD X4 (4 cores) and get 6 cores working (like they did on the video on Asrock). Not possible with the CPU that I bought -AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black edition. I contacted Asrock and they told me not every chip is capable of this function and to google it! I couldn't find this ANYWHERE when I researched it! Very mad! I will Say Newegg Rocks! They will allow me to return the CPU and I can then buy a more expensive one! YEAH I love spending more money. And I love Newegg!

Other Thoughts: Did I shut off the iron when I left for work this morning?

1 out of 5 eggsResearch "Problems" before buying

Pros: It booted right up the first time.

Newegg has been kind enough to let me get a full refund instead of a replacement. You gotta love them for that!

And it's only going to cost me a $100.00 more for something people agree is a solid board :(
In the end this is the single most important piece of your build although my budget doesn't allow for more I'm now forced into spending more money and going without my pc for a few more weeks simply because I didn't search for Asrock 880GX "Problems".

Cons: Just about everything. Although I had no problems with setting up the pc, manually setting memory timings were no big deal, but the performance was poor from the start. The ethernet port quit working right after updating Win7 so I reinstalled...did that a few times then had Comcast come out and check the lines just to find out the ports on the board are no good, then the freezing began and so on and so on, although there is a error code display on the board Asrock customer service still has not returned my email as to what the codes I'm seeing actually mean. So now I'm forced to go to the library in order to get on line. After some research I discovered that many many people have had similar issues with this board.

I simply cannot recommend this, you'll just be repeating the mistakes of others who have posted here like me have done. Sure nothing is perfect there's going to be issues with any manufacture, but go with one who will support there products.

Other Thoughts: Although I read every review posted here before buying and and as many performance reviews as I could find I never searched for "Problems". Most performance reviews said this board could not overclock well, no big deal I'm wasn't buying it for that reason, they also showed the performance was less than that of more expensive boards with the same chipset; that kinda made sense since they cost more they should perform a little better. But this board would not complete a single stress test before shutting down or producing errors, this was purchased with Athlon II x3 450, Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850 (Now known to have a memory controller issue.) All I can say is do a better job than I did with your research before buying this, although it looks nice looks will not run your PC. Asrock customer support is non existent and if you really research there company they're not known for quality products. A little performance diff. would have been acceptable but the cost to me now is absolutely not.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: ATI Crossfire support
AMD Hex Core support
Easy Overclocking

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Excellent board. Posted with my AMD Hex Core on the first try, easily over clocked it to 3.3ghz on air cooling. Worth every penny.

5 out of 5 eggsNICE

Pros: Awesome true 333, posted first set up. Easy over clock on my AMD 6 core 3.2 Ghz to 3.6 STABLE on all six cores. I want to try 4 ghz but I'm waiting on getting water cooling.

Cons: Reviews show a high failure rate. I'm not sure if everyone is good enough on trouble shooting new builds. I have found ASRock to be a very good value board, with the overclocking features that high end boards have.

Again its your choice. Check the review on YouTube nothing but good marks.

Other Thoughts: Running this board with crossfire 3870's pair. Superior high FPM game graphics. Im gonna add another hard drive and install Windows 7 with DX 11 AMD Graphics cards. Saving the money for a pair of 6850's for the next release of Cyrisis.

On Board Sound.....? Oh yes no need for add on sound card.

1 out of 5 eggsVomit at first take

Pros: Nothing yet.

Cons: Won't post. Error code 00 and won't change. Replacement only?

Other Thoughts: AsRock support doesn't exists. Notice how other people leave bad review about Gigabite, MSI, or Asus and some rep will respond? None, none for ASRock.

5 out of 5 eggsThis board rocks

Pros: I'm going to compare this to my last Asus AM3 motherboard : M4a78t-e. The new board has many more features, easier overclocking and better support for my memory and its speed (Geil). Has one more stand off point which I consider a plus. The aux power, reset and clear cmos buttons are freakin genious. I love them. My video card seemed to snug in the pci slot perfectly unlike my Asus. And the faster north and south bridge are an add bonus.

Cons: There isn't a chassis fan header towards the back of the motherboard or at least I didn't find it. However, there are many more provided elsewhere on the board.

Other Thoughts: Don't pass this up, this motherboard offers so much that the bigger companies won't offer.
