1 out of 5 eggsBad board & poor support

Pros: Pretty pictures on the box and covered in lots of large fluffy meaningless words. Looks and sounds impressive.

Cons: The board suffers horribly from faulty firmware and bad drivers. Exceptionally bad is the Renesas/NEC USB 3.0 firmware and driver. What makes it worse is that ASRock stopped updating their drivers for the board faster then they stopped making the board. You have to go to the chipset manufacture or other 3rd party forums and driver sites to just find current drivers and firmwares. (Tip: include the chip model number in your search, in this case the NEC USB 3.0 chip is "PD720200" for this board.). There are several updates available ranging from the AMD raid/chipests to the VIA VT2020 HD audio but you have to know where to look or spend lots of time searching. Of course there's also inherent risk involved, especially with updating firmwares. I build a lot of computers and this will be my LAST ASRock. My customers expect long term support and thus I expect long term support but that's NOT what you'll get from ASRock.

Other Thoughts: My word of caution: don't let fancy advertising sweet talk you out of your cash. You'll wake up to find yourself abandoned up the creek with nothing but a worthless motherboard to use as a paddle...and a pretty box.

1 out of 5 eggsBroke just out of warranty

Pros: It used to work fine. I'm sure it's supposed to continue to work fine.

Cons: If you use the rating system like I do then you look at the 1 eggs mostly to see how many of them break. If it didn't break on me, it would get 5 eggs. The memory slots went out when it was just out of warranty. First it was just two, then all four. I didn't do any overclocking and my case is open all the time so ventilation isn't a problem. I also tested my power supply with an oscilloscope and it was functioning with very steady voltages within tolerances. Also, when the last memory ports went out the CPU fan power pins started to get finicky. It did last a year before this happened, so I don't know if that's for it or against it. :/

Other Thoughts: TLDR; Great board, until it broke.

2 out of 5 eggsGood but fragile

Pros: USB3.0
Overclocking

Cons: SATA3_7 and SATA3_8 connectors are terribly fragile. They fell off the motherboard when I tried to disconnect the cables.

The main 6 SATA connectors are parallel to the motherboard. It can be really hard to connect to these

Other Thoughts: I can't believe the SATA connectors came off the motherboard. I tried to replace them but it didn't work. I can get by with the other SATA connectors but there is no way these connectors should have come off.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Board

Pros: My first ASRock board and it rocks. Always been an EVGA and ASUS fanboy, but I can't complain. Easy installation and excellent user manual. Fits very well in my HAF922.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It was a toss up between ASUS and Gigabyte. So far, I'm happy with my purchase.

2 out of 5 eggsNot sure what to think of this board...

Pros: I looks nice, and it runs half of my stuff nicely. It was cheap, and it has a TON of SATA 6Gb connnections, but no SATA 3gb, but my SATA 3gb HDD runs just fine pluggeed into the SATA 6gb.

Cons: Where to start.... Included disc is worthless, save yourself a headache and pre-download at LEAST the LAN driver from ASRock, that way you can just update thru windows for MOST of the rest of the drivers. When I use both my Lite on DVD drive and Sony BR burner, it takes FOREVER to read the disc and display the contents in widows explorer. Also my BD drive wont play discs smoothly, likes to hang like the buffer is trying to catch up. Also, if I have my IDE DVD rom installed I cant switch to my Samsung HDD that has Ubuntu on it. It will hang and lock up before the splash screen comes up, all I have in the blinking cursor and a code "75" on the board that stays there til I power it down. Awaiting ASRock Technical Support answer

Other Thoughts: Did I mention the driver disc sucks and doesnt work????

Specs:
AMD Phenom II x6 Thuban 1090t
AsRock 890FX Deluxe 3
MSI Twin Frozr GTX 460
8GB 1333 G. Skill Sniper Series
Antec 550 Modular PSU
Samsung Spinpoint 1TB
WD Black 1TB
Sony BD Burner
Antec 900

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome board

Pros: Plenty of built in USB and SATA II ports, handy Clear CMOS switch on the I/O panel and power/reset switches on the board itself, BIOS POST code readout, IOMMU capable (will need to update BIOS for this), just an overall great board.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I really cannot express how happy I am with this board. It fired right up the first time, and has continued to just work. Updated the BIOS off a thumb drive without issue. Currently running the Phenom II x4 955 BE I purchased with it at 4.2GHz. There are plenty of things to mess with in the BIOS so you can tweak the system to your hearts content. Looking at what the Deluxe4 and Deluxe5 versions of this board offer, I am still glad I purchased the Deluxe3, and I would easily recommend it to anyone wanting to build a tweakable AM3 system on a budget

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent MB & Inexpensive!

Pros: I have 2 of these w/x6 CPUs and there are just great. Win 7 x64 on both MBs run without any glitches.

Cons: Can't think of any!

Other Thoughts: MB stand-offs & screws always come with the case, not the motherboard! Never have that I can remember! Highly recommend this MB!

5 out of 5 eggsMore features than you body has room for!

Pros: AM3, ddr3, 3 PCI-e slots! Who could ask for more!
Super easy overclocking utilities!
Orange sata cables!
Easy to follow instruction manual!

Cons: You know those little screw things that come with cases and motherboards you never ever have enough of?
Well you'd better have saved them up! Because this motherboard comes with nothing other than some cables and a cd.

Other Thoughts: Other than the screw issue... I can easily say this is the best thing I've bought this year!

Cons: none
