1 out of 5 eggsStay Far Away

Pros: - Cheep
- Good layout
- Black pcb

Cons: - Any video card over 9" will cover 2 out of the 4 sata ports
- Started to randomly crash after three months of owning
- killed my $200 Radeon 7850 2Gb

Other Thoughts: Highly recomend staying away from ASRock and buying Gigabye or ASUS. This board has caused a lot of unneeded stress to me, and killed my video card.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Due to mainboard is micro ATX, the space for larger VGA card is limited.
For more information, please visit specification at link http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/760GM-GS3/?cat=Specifications.
Please trouble shoot the mainboard,
Unplug the power, clear the CMOS.
Test with onboard VGA to check if its post.
Reseat the VGA card and its 6+6 pins power (if applied).
Check the power supply is providing enough power to both VGA card and system.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget Mobo

Pros: Great Mobo. Has all connectors, feels sturdy and well made in the hands. Socket am3 fits most cpu's that amd has put out except(obviously)FX series cpu's. No problems what so ever. Manual is easy to read, worked out of box and hasnt had any problems since I bought it in may of 2013. Supports 1600mhz memory which is awesome.

Cons: Doesn't look that pretty but the price definitely makes up for that. Only supports up to 8gb of memory.

Other Thoughts: I have my Mobo paired with a phenom II x4 965BE, Corsair vengeance 8GB 1600Mhz, and a Sapphire radeon HD 7850. All of my memory is supported as long as you have a 64-BIT OS.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent motherboard - a few issues

Pros: Price

Cons: There is an issue with PCI video and onboard video for multiple displays. Only one or the other will work. This is not an issue if you intend to use PCIe video and onboard as they play fine together.

There is an issue with usb keyboard/mouse keeping the computer from fully going to sleep. Once the system goes to sleep, the fans will still spin on the case and cpu. This happens when the keyboard or mouse is set to wake the computer in windows. To get around this problem, you can use PS/2 to USB adapters. The PS/2 drivers allow full sleep.

Other Thoughts: Good motherboard for office computers. Good value.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent budget board!

Pros: I bought one of these a little over a year ago and have been very pleased with it. The first one was for a HTPC build and I didn't need anything spectacular for it. I liked it so much that I recommended it for my friend's budget gaming rig. Excellent board, good features, solid as a rock, and great price to boot!

Cons: The only con with the board itself is that of the 3 fan headers on it, only 2 of them are PWM. And, this isn't a board defect per se, but the ASRock utilities are mostly garbage. I could never get XFast or Instant Boot to work at all.

Other Thoughts: If you need a very decent budget board, this one is hard to beat.

3 out of 5 eggsWarranty, CMOS

Pros: Does the things that it supposed to up to a point.

Cons: Nonexistent customer service towards the end of the warranty from ASRock. I emailed them a week before the warranty expired and never heard back from them. The problem I have with the motherboard is after a power outage the CMOS settings go bad and you can't boot the system until you reset the CMOS Settings.

Other Thoughts: If it wasn't for the issue with CMOS this motherboard would be pretty decent.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Please turn the power off, unplug the power.
Clear the CMOS.
Check the battery is enough power (minimum 2.7v) or try with another battery.
Set the BIOS default, save and exit
Turn power off and on to try again.
If you have any technical issues or warranty questions please contact our Tech Support at http://www.ASRock.com/support/tsd.asp. We can assist you shortly.

1 out of 5 eggsDoA

Pros: Inexpensive. Great refund policy.

Cons: Wouldn't boot up. DoA right out of the box.

Dear ASRock Customer

Please trouble shooting the mainboard for below steps with known good components;
Turn the power off.
Remove the mainboard from inside computer to outside, place the mainboard on top of the empty mainboard’s box
Clear the CMOS
Reseat the CPU and heatsink fan as well
Test with single memory module (non-ECC, un-buffered), try with another known good memory if its same issue.
Using onboard Video
Plug the 24 pins + 4 pins ATX power to the mainboard
Plug the computer case’s power switch to mainboard's front panel power header and try again

5 out of 5 eggsawesome!

Pros: Great bang for the buck board! Installed easy and didn't give me any fits whatsoever.

Cons: none. Well it is the smallest board I've seen, so be prepared to be a bit cramped, install you devices in layers, lol!

4 out of 5 eggsGood Motherboard

Pros: Easy install.
Tin motherboard inset gave me no troubles.
Booted quick.
Pretty screen during POST.
Plenty of fan connections.
Power connections in convenient locations

Cons: Only those expected with mini-atx and less expensive motherboards.
Jumpers are a pain to get to if you already installed most of the other components.

Other Thoughts: Overall pleased, would order again. Was ordered as an RMA replacement for an Asus motherboard of almost the same specifications.
