5 out of 5 eggsMB working great

Pros: MB is very solid and working great so far.

Cons: IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have installed ASRock ExtremeFast USB soft and been having external HD connection problem then either to disable ExtremeFast USB auto-start or remove the soft completely cuz I had been bearing this problem's headache for the last 2 yeard and had just merely found out of the real cause last week.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice board layout, lots of pinouts everywhere, but PCI slots are spaced perfectly. I love the on-board power and reset buttons

Cons: First 4 sata ports did not work at all. The first 4 are all 6Gb/s channels, I think, but I had to plug into the 3Gb/s channel. No overclocking was done.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome board

Pros: Easy install, oc'd i5-2500k to 4.2GHz with Cooler Master Hyper 212 plus. Rock stable. I've built systems with Gigabyte and Asus in the past. By far, this was the easiest build. Thanks Asrock!

Cons: still has floppy controller and IDE

Other Thoughts: DO NOT install Microsoft Windows 7 x64 optional update called Acusys...6xxx. It kills the LAN.

3 out of 5 eggsUnknown issue with PCIe 1x slots

Pros: Great Features, Great Extras, all for a great price. Easy CPU overclock

Cons: Having a problem with my pro audio interface by RME Audio : Hammerfall HDSPe card. It's a 1x PCIe card. The card is recognized, the drivers install okay, but the card fails to work in either of the 2 PCIe 1x slots. This card still works in any other older machine of mine, so the audio card itself is okay. It just won't function on this board.

Other Thoughts: I am unable to determine if this single board itself is faulty, or if the entire Extreme4 design is faulty when it comes to the PCIe 1x slots.

I'm curious if anyone else is having any problems with cards in these slots or not.

I have a trouble case open with ASRock, we'll see what they have to say. Until I get this resolved, my rating will have to be a 3.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

Pros: Best price for a motherboard with sli/crossfire and uefi bios. The front sled that has 2 USB 3.0 jacks is definitely nice. All other motherboards only have the 2 ports on the back and don't have this option.

Cons: I've only had one issue with this motherboard and that is that my creative x-fi extreme gamer has crackles. It worked fine in my last computer rig, but after reading forums it sounds like it's been a problem for many people on many platforms, so I won't blame this motherboard on that.

Other Thoughts: Running a 2600K at 4.4GHz with turbo enabled, 2x4Gb Patriot 1600 memory, Zalman cnps10x quiet cooler, 8800GTS OC2 w/320mb Ram (I know, I haven't upgraded it yet, but it works). It overclocks with only a few clicks, both memory and cpu, no trial and error required.

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate BIOS soon

Pros: Very nice board layout, easy to use BIOS, Only tried 4.2Ghz out of the box and it ran very well. If it weren't for my initial issues it would have gotten 5 eggs.

Cons: I was getting unexpected Kernel-Power failures in Windows. i tried everything to get it to not blackout and reboot. I tried all kinds of cards, memory and disabling all onboard devices.

Turns out it needed a BIOS update. It came with a 1.1 version that was months old. After reading other reviews about over voltage, that would make sense. 1.3 update and it hasn't failed in a week now.

Other Thoughts: Intel i-5 2500k
Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB 2000
Raid 0 Intel 80GB SSD 490MB/s

5 out of 5 eggsSimple

Pros: Bought 2, both arrived on time, in good condition, and working.
I liked the layout, the front panel audio had no problem reaching in my full tower. The placement of the IDE connector is odd, but its not necessary. Spacing was good, had no issues fitting a TT CLP0554 cooler around the & Kingston HyperX T1 RAM. Inclusion of a USB 3.0 front panel is very nice. Debug LED is amazing.

Cons: DOES NOT SUPPORT 2133 RAM unless you have a K-series processor, read that in the manual when I was looking up the ordering of RAM sockets. Still wondering why my front panel microphone jack isn't working, it wasn't as easy as plug & chug & I just haven't figured it out yet.

Other Thoughts: Lots of everything I wanted and nothing I didn't. Didn't get a neat sticker to put on the case :( Putting on the cooler was a little nerve wracking, but when is it not?
