5 out of 5 eggsAS Rock A785GM-LE Motherboard

Pros: I have had several of these and with the amd 4 core processor they work great for a economy Build.

Cons: Wish it would accommodate more ram or biring back a full size board to use the 4 core Amd processor

Other Thoughts: None

5 out of 5 eggsGood, solid board

Pros: Excellent replacement for a failed motherboard at an affordable price. Fast and stable.

Cons: Micro ATX... be prepared to really sqeeze if you have a large vid card and three hard drives. I finally had to mount one HD in an optical bay.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate to my previous review

Pros: After half a year of 24/7 use still going strong.

Fast -- 2600 MHz FSB (my original MSI mobo's was 1000 MHz).

Solid as AS a Rock. No BSDs, 'no nothing'.

Fits any case.

Cons: A DDR3 version would not go amiss.

Other Thoughts: To those complaining of DOAs and stuff, make sure your stanoffs don't short it. In my experience it's 95% of the problems.

To ASRock people: good job, and keep turning them out. They are needed.

2 out of 5 eggsBlue Screens

Pros: Great while its working.

Cons: I have been getting random blue screens often.
So far nothing i try has worked to fix them.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Blue screen (BSOD) usually related to memory.
Please set the BIOS default.
Test with 1 stick memory, try with another known good memory if its same issue.

1 out of 5 eggsReplacement for DOA is DOA

Pros: Well pros is that it was cheap considering it was a replacement for a DOA that would not power up. Atleast this one powers up.

Cons: Unfortunately the network controller on this RMA is DOA would have made for a good HTPC mobo. Too bad I have gone through 2 of these in less than a month. Back to Gigabyte I go.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product for the price.

Pros: The installation guide is straight foreword and easy to read. Plenty of SATA ports on the board. Support software is awesome, an overclockers dream.

Cons: Only two slots for ram.

Other Thoughts: This was to replace the fried motherboard in my old system. I am really impressed with the features. The OC Tuner makes overclocking easy without having to restart your PC and easy to monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board to Make a Budget PC

Pros: The Board is fantastically priced. It is also the only board I could find for an older AM2 processor to make a budget PC for my buddy in school. I also found it really cool it had a GUI BIOS. I though they only did that on higher end boards.

Cons: Board was a little smaller than I though and didn't fit the original case I had for it.

Other Thoughts: This board is fantastic if you need to build a budget system or just to repair your machine.

5 out of 5 eggsExperiance

Pros: as usual this is a good board ,

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: i have been building computers since 1980. i have built over 2000 in that time and have used many name brands. i have for the last 3 years used nothing but Asrock boards because i simply have given up on the others quality control and Asrock always takes care of its customers

1 out of 5 eggsNot Powering up

Pros: Fits in my HTPC case no problem, Nice instructions on how to hook things up.

Cons: My board will not power up, I have hooked up everything correctly and had issues with hooking up the power switch and reset switches on this mobo because my cables have both +ve and -ve on the switches cable. the mobo only has one pin for each, two grounds and a dummy pin. I have tried hooking this thing up with as many combinations I could think off and still no go, when I test the board with a voltmeter and a multimeter I get good readings on multiple components other than it starting up. Will RMA this asap and go back to my gigabyte boards which I have used for over a decade.

Other Thoughts: If only I could turn it into a motherboard art I would.
