5 out of 5 eggssolid

Pros: good solid board

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: I use Asrock boards in business systems, including engineering computers.
I been let down too many times by Intel brand Mother boards and other business type mother boards.
Seems like the gaming boards are better quality...go figure,

3 out of 5 eggsWorked great at first....

Pros: Did everything I needed

Cons: After using this in my new pc for a couple months my pc wouldn't turn on at all one day and after checking everything from power supply to connections it seems that the motherboard is dead as a door nail.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Please trouble shoot the mainboard to check if its power to mainboard.
Unplug the ATX power, remove all components from mainboard except CPU and cooler.
Clear the CMOS.
Reconnect the 24 + 8 or 4 pins ATX power.
Turn on the power (using onboard power button) to check if its get the power.
Populate the components ony by one if its get the power to mainboard.

3 out of 5 eggsSabertooth Replacement

Pros: I dunno. No bent pins, nothing wrong with the board, structure wise. She fire'd up on the first switch. Pretty finish to the NB and SB blocks. Over-clocks like a CHAMP ... !

Cons: This is NOT a full ATX sized MOBO. Be sure to check dimensions before ordering. Wasn't problem for me ... but just throwing it out there.
The integrated sound was horrible ... ! After double checking that I installed all the drivers, ... I called it quits ... and bought a sound card.

Other Thoughts: Overall ... it's a okay board. Nothing fancy, but over-clocks very well. Integrated sound was horrible. 2 fan pins in the MIDDLE of the board was a terrible design.

3 out of 5 eggsSeems mostly fine

Pros: Everything appears to be working with one exception.

Cons: The sound is not being detected on the MOBO. Have reinstalled the drivers many times. Can't think of any way to fix this on my end. All I can conclude is that it is a hardware issue.

Other Thoughts: If everything else continues to work, I can work around the sound issue w/ my off-board sound card, but it's still rather disappointing.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize that you having difficulty with sound onboard.
Please check if onboard HD audio is enable in UEFI BIOS, Advanced, South Bridge Configuration.
Uninstall the sound driver, download and install the sound driver at link below.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: Looks nice out of the box.
Had the performance I was looking for.

Cons: Was DOA.
Waited over 30 days for other parts so now have to go through ASRock RMA process.

Other Thoughts: Could not get it to POST. No beep, no Dr Debug codes, nothing. The chassis fans and CPU fan turned on. Chassis fan 3 did not work. I reseated the CPU several times, tried the RAM in every slot. Have another computer with an ASUS P5Q Pro that has been running for 6 years without 1 problem. For this build I should have stayed with ASUS.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. ASRock mainboards are fully tested to assure the quality.
Unfortunately, due to nature of electronic product, it can happen.
Please update replacement mainboard is working fine.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat MOBO, almost

Pros: Loaded with features, Lots of ports,SATA, eSATA and USB. Friendly BIOS, Dr Debug is a great help too.

Cons: USB 2.0 connectors on rear panel of my board don't work!

A usb mouse or keyboard won't work and a USB drive plugged in lights up but the computer does not recognize it! USB 3.0 ports on rear and USB 2.0 ports on the front panel all work fine. Everything in the USB section of the BIOS is set to AUTO so I doubt the BIOS is the problem.

I've emailed ASROCK tech service an am waiting for a reply but it is probable that I'll have to RMA it. I hope the replacement board works as this seems to be a nice feature-rich MOBO.

I feel bad subtracting an egg but the only thing worse than installng a MOBO is re-installing one :-(

Other Thoughts: This is my third MOBO from ASUS and my second ASROCK. In general I've been very satisfied and based on my experience with Newegg, I'm sure they'll make it good.

3 out of 5 eggsMy luck

Pros: Great performance, good bundled software, good layout, 4 fan headers

Cons: Ethernet gradually failing

Other Thoughts: Bought two of these for new builds for wife and I. Both running great after a year and a half. Started noticing pauses in video loads in mine connected to Ethernet. Hers is Wi-Fi and continues to run great. After a month, mine downloads at 20kB and takes about an hour to load CNN. Stuck my old netbook on the Ethernet cable and it downloads at 1+mB.

1 out of 5 eggsPlease don't buy this!

Pros: it looks cool

Cons: it won't even last a year before it dies
Asrock Support and RMA process is terrible and slow.
constant issues with USB ports. I had to use Powered USB hubs to get my peripherals to work consistantly.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this motherboard a couple years ago when it 1st came out. It ran good for almost a year, then died. After a month and th horrible ASROCK RMA process, i installed the replacement board which arrived to me missing a pin to hold on one of the heatsyncs. (nice quality control asrock!) I fixed this by using a push pin from another motherboard so the heat-sync. this board lasted about 6 months and then it died. After another RMA process, i just received a like new looking board from asrock.. installed it and was up and running again for all of 2 weeks before THIS one died. i have a Z77 Asus board on order now. I"m done. with Asrock. Please save yourself the agony and go with Asus or Gigabyte. Please note that i am a professional PC Technician with over 15 years of experience with building, repairing, modding pc's. I have built and repaired thousands of computers. I have also swapped out power supplies, and tested all other components in every instance of failure.

3 out of 5 eggsWorked great until the PCI-E slots failed

Pros: Lots of Sata 6.0 Gb/s ports
Lots of room for expansion
Tiny form factor

Cons: Short lifespan

Other Thoughts: I bought board during black friday of 2013 and it was great up until June 2014.
All of my PCI-E slots no longer work which is a real bummer.

I tried to claim my 1 year warranty with asrock but they told me to claim it through the one I bought it from (newegg) sadly I cant RMA it or anything....

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
We glad to process the RMA if past the 30 days of purchase, unless we do not receive the purchase information.
