Administrators are able to schedule the starting and ending hours of internet access granted to other users. Normally, ISPs (Internet Service Provider) will charge for internet curfew service. The service controls “all” the PCs connected at home through network remotely but all the PCs in that network will be restricted to access the internet at pre-setup times. However, ASRock OMG is a free tool for controlling internet access of each single PC. Parents can easily control internet access through BIOS setup to protect their kids from using Internet at inappropriate time, and meanwhile, enjoy their own internet space.

3 out of 5 eggsWorked great, but died WAY too soon

Pros: Worked great and did what I needed it to (did NOT overclock)

Cons: died after 9-10 months

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Sorry to hear that the mainboard has malfunctioned after 9-10 months, which’s due to nature of electronic product, it can happen.
Please trouble shooting the mainboard for below steps with known good components;
Clear the CMOS
Test with single memory module (non-ECC, un-buffered), try with another known good memory if its same issue.
Using onboard Video (CPU with iGPU supported or test with VGA card)
Power supply with connecting 24 pins + 8 or 4 pins ATX power to the mainboard
Plug the computer case’s power switch to mainboard's front panel power header and try again
If you have any technical questions please contact us at http://www.ASRock.com/support/tsd.asp. We can assist you shortly.

2 out of 5 eggsProblematic

Pros: Price, UEFI Bios

Cons: I usually don't write reviews, but wanted other people to be cautious with this board. Used this board in the third of four computer builds over the past two months. Of the four this was the only non-MSI board I used, and I ended up replacing this with a MSI Z77A-G43. Just kept having issues with this motherboard. It would randomly not be able to find the hard drive and thus not boot the OS. Even replacing the SATA cable did not solve the issue. Changing the port seemed to work, but still do not trust it. The other issue was lan connectivity. Updated all drivers, but board still had issues connecting and staying connected. Once I replaced this board with the MSI referenced above, all issues went away. This is my first and last ASRock board.

Other Thoughts: I did like the price and the UEFI bios, but the board comes with to much garbage software. Easy enough to not install or remove, but it just seems unnecessary.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs good, no problems.

Cons: no 1394/"firewire" support, which is no big deal.

Other Thoughts: USB 3.0 and SATA are enough for the average person, 1394 is pretty unnecessary these days. No problems with this board, good design, I like that it has 2 PCIe x16 slots for crossfire, great for mining cryptocurrency.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I had to order a new board because of damaged USB 3.0 pins. 2nd board arrived fast and in working order

Works great, love the features of the motherboard easily was able to clock my ram to 1866 and could OC my CPU.

Cons: Reason i gave this a 4/5 was because it came with a bent usb 3.0 pin, and it was a big hassle to get a refund chatting over the internet. Stick your guns and call in!

4 out of 5 eggsgood value

Pros: excellent value for the price. easy to use manual. Most connectors are in fairly convenient locations.

Cons: I had a difficult time getting it setup, and was starting to think I had a bad board, memory or power supply. I would turn the power on, but get no post beep and no video. took out the memory and then got the correct beep code for no memory. On a hunch I dragged out an old style monitor with a serial cable, and hooked that up. and guess what? It worked.

Long story short, it was working properly the whole time but for some reason it wouldn't/couldn't use HDMI until the OS and the drivers were loaded up. and now looking back through the "It was DOA" 1 star reviews on here, I wouldn't be shocked if that's what they were experiencing as well.

Other Thoughts: despite being a pain initially, it's been running smooth with no issues. I also really enjoy the BIOS layout.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy another product from this company.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: None

Cons: Came D.O.A, Some ACPI functions (specifically S2, S3 and S4) do not work. I RMA'd the board after inspecting it thoroughly and received an email from newegg saying that they received the motherboard with "several severely bent pins in the cpu socket which were beyond repair".

Because I cannot prove that I did not bend the pins they will not refund or repair the mobo.

Disappointed and unhappy, I will be driving 30+ miles tonight to an electronics store to buy a new mobo and hope for the best.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Sorry to hear the mainboard's CPU socket pins have bent. The CPU socket on the mainboard has been covered with the protection CAP to avoid damage the pins and should not be removed unless intend to install a CPU. Please contact us at http://www.ASRock.com/support/tsd.asp. We can assist you shortly.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great
BIOS has way more functions than I need. Installed this as a virtual server. Everything works great. Installed 32gb of ram(Max for free esxi license) and an I7-3770.
NIC functions fine with ESXI 5.1 out of the box.

Cons: Didn't come with pegs or screws. I wouldn't expect a motherboard to, but I was reusing a case that didn't have them.

Other Thoughts: Bought this specifically for the VT-d, 32gb of ram max, and low price.

5 out of 5 eggsGood board at a good price

Pros: BIOS navigation is easy and intuitive. The software utilities work well and are easy to manage. No problems with ~1 month of constant use.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I used this board for my first PC build because it was cheap and fit all of my needs perfectly. I was worried because of some of the reviews on here, but I am very happy with my choice. As stated above, no problems after ~1 month of constant use.
