5 out of 5 eggsGood Stuff

Pros: It worked out of the box with an i5-3330.

Did not need to update bios or use a lower end LGA-1155 Pentium processor to get a 3rd generation processor to work.

Worked out of the box for me.

Fit perfectly to replace a OEM motherboard in a Micro-ATX case.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: We will see how long it lasts. :)

System Specs:

i5-3330
(This motherboard)
4GB DDR3 @ 1333Mhz
Radeon HD 5830 1 GB (Soon to have a Gigabyte GTX570 Windforce... got it for $40)
CRUCIAL M500 120GB running Windows 8 Pro x64

Runs BF4 smoothly on Medium settings. Going to push the system to run on High to Ultra once the new GPU is installed. We'll see... :)

1 out of 5 eggsWorst customer service RMA ever

Pros: The quality of the board for the features and price is amazing, you'll have a hard time meeting the 'quality' compared to the rest

Cons: When the board did become faulty and I had to process and RMA, they aren't open the best hours or days. When I finally got a hold of someone I got the RMA and shipped out out, almost 2 weeks because of a delay in shipping. The reconditioned doesn't work properly with the same equipment that I have. I test it all in other systems. So after about 2 weeks of waiting I finally get a reply back and have to call, then I have get ahold of the tech department because customer service isn't around. I'm told to ship both my video card and motherboard this time. Though I have tested it at a computer shop and it's a compatibility issue that I have seen online. Call customer service once again, having to wait because of holidays I find out the person that does the secondary RMA isn't working and is out for a week. So because no one else can do it I have to wait? Then when I get finally get a hold of them, she never received the e-mail about a secondary RMA from the tech, so instead of an overnight shipping I have to do standard shipping, right before another holiday which they won't be working so I'll be waiting additional time. This is the worst customer service and RMA experience I have ever had, at first I loved the company but now I don't believe I'll ever purchase through them again.

Other Thoughts: Oh, let's not forget. One of the gold connectors to my RAM has broken off due to the fact on how the board is designed to install it from all the trouble shooting of install and remove to test different configurations. Thank you Asrock for being the worse experience in a holiday season I have had.

5 out of 5 eggsOverclockers Dream

Pros: This board overclocked my 3570k without a hitch.

im at 5.0 ghz stable at 1.32 vcore on an antec closed loop cooler the h2o 620 to be exact.

posted immediately and has been running non stop for almost a month!

onboard power and reset buttons as well as a rear IO CMOS clear button.

recognized my SSD and 3tb drive right from the start... granted i had my 3tb drive formatted to gpt in an older system so this might be why!

GREAT PRICE!!!

Cons: only 6 usb ports on the IO not really a con... i just have a custom built case with no extra usb ports so i gotta swap my headset for my game controller sometimes.

Other Thoughts: this is my first intel build and i have 0 regrets.

the components i selected are as follows

ASRock Fatal1ty Z77 Professional-M
3570k cpu at 5.0 ghz cooled with kuhler h20 620
asus HD 7870 at 1250 core clock 1350 mem clock
kingston hyperX red rated for 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 OC to 1866mhz 10-11-10-26
samsung 840 evo 120gb SSD
Seagate barracuda XT 3tb 64mb cache 7200 rpm
corsair GS700 power supply
all installed in a custom modded hp case from 2007

also note i bought my motherboard from a-ma--zon as newegg would not ship to my PO box

i Would recommend this board to all of my friends

1 out of 5 eggsRead Everything you agree to

Pros: Pro: Well really can not since it was DOA.

Cons: Con: None towards the board. Although it’s my fault for not reading the RMA completely I still think it is lame. I paid $16 to RMA the board just to find out that due to the board being damaged they would be no refund or replacement. I admit while reinstalling the safety cover on the CPU slot I dropped the cover bending a couple pins. I also know its my word against new eggs that the board was faulty when I received it but when you are a returning customer who has never returned anything you would think you would take it on faith that the board was DOA and I had an accident uninstalling it. Now if it was a repeating event I would understand not returning or refunding. So in the end I had to settle for a less expensive board with less feature cause I’m out $150 total when it was all said and done.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

1 out of 5 eggsCompletely Dissatisfied

Pros: I bought this board for my desktop build. Installed it and board completely refuse to start. I don’t even see the start-up message. I am frustrated and very disappointed. I am using another ASRock board (ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard) which I build recently and quite happy with the board’s performance. This one is completely dead. Should have bought the previous one. 

Cons: Completely dead and motherboard refuse to even boot-up.

Other Thoughts: I would really would like to have an refund on this box.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Please trouble shoot the mainboard;
Turn the power off.
Remove the mainboard from inside computer to outside, place the mainboard on top of the empty mainboard’s box
Clear the CMOS
Check the mainboard’s CPU socket pins are normal (should not be bent)
Reseat the CPU with heatsink fan as well if socket pins are normal
Test with single memory module (non-ECC, un-buffered), try with another known good memory if its same issue
Plug monitor to onboard VGA (CPU with iGPU/APU supported or test with VGA card)
Plug the 24 pins + 8 or 4 pins ATX power
Plug the chassis power switch to mainboard's system panel power header, and try again
Turn the power on (using onboard power bottom) to check if its post

3 out of 5 eggsit looked good but never used..

Pros: open box for like $105 at time of my purchase

Cons: just not feeling ASRock anymore..

Other Thoughts: was to be used as a back-up board in case something went out but I never used it and sold it instead. forcing me to upgrade if something blows now.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic solid board

Pros: Solid feel, easy connections, power on button and reset button.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: First time builder, but have messed with components for years. This board is very solid feeling, neat colors and look. Paired with a 3570 and a 7850gpu it made husband's Father's Day very happy indeed.

1 out of 5 eggsWorked for about a week

Pros: looks nice thats about it

Cons: -worked for about a week, threw blue screens left and right ( power issues) Then just completely died.
- the molex for sli is in a retarted place
- even at 4 ssd in raid 0 it wouldnt boot even under 30 seconds took like 45 seconds ( my gigabyte would boot in about 10)
- the bios is just overall clunky and not as user friendly as others ive seen. I mean mt dell computer at work has a better bios(pretty sad)

Other Thoughts: Go with another board, I have an asrock in my htpc and it works but I am going to stay away from them now. should of known

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Blue screen usually related to memory.
Please turn the power off, clear the CMOS.
Set the UEFI BIOS default.
Test with single stick memory on A1 slot, try with another known good memory if its same issue.

4 out of 5 eggsASRock Professional-M

Pros: Looks very nice (love the colors), ports are in good spots for my microATX system (only the most bottom pcie is slightly inaccesible).

Once my system was finally fully set up everything runs smoothly.

=== Setup ===
CPU: Intel i7 3770-k
GFX: XFX Radeon HD 6870 (soon to be Nvidia GTX 770 :) )
PSU: Corsair cx600m
HDD: WD Black 1TB
MB: ASRock Professional-M
Case: Rosewill Line-M
RAM: 2 x 4GB G.Skill Ripjaws
Cooling: Corsair H60

Cons: Overcloking my CPU through BIOS caused lots of crashing to happen. Leaving the CPU not overclocked fixes this problem.

Other Thoughts: Fits well in my microATX case
