5 out of 5 eggsBring these back!!!!

Pros: Wow! These motherboards have performed excellent from i3 to i7 processors. Mostly for administrative, but some software engineer machines. Screw in place, install CPU and memory, hook up cables, power up! Boom! Up and running in less than 35 minutes!

Cons: I received one that had bent pins in the CPU socket. Never could figure that out, but had to just suck it up and order a replacement. Oh well, you win most and lose one once in a while.

Other Thoughts: Please bring this board back or at least make an LGA 1150 with the same setup.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Fast and recognizes devices with no problems.

I use this in my HTPC and it's a rock-solid performer. Quick response to everything I do with it. It has plenty of fan ports and easily tweaked in the bios. There's 6 SATA ports for fast 6-gb drives. Graphical bios is easy to work with. It has done a great job so far and with this being my first ASRock product, I'm definitely impressed. This is good stuff.

Cons: Gives me an over-sized GUI when viewing the bios on my TV using an HDMI connection. I can't see everything on the bios screen and that's my reason for it losing an egg.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent buy

Pros: Great feature set.
Reliability is dicey with motherboards. You won't fine 5 star ratings for any mfctr because there will always be DOA boards and because support is often abysmal, so 4 stars is good. But ASRock really appears to have raised the bar to some degree - search on ratings and compare the 4 star rating counts. That said, I do recommend the inexpensive warranty from newegg - $7 for no hassle no charge warranty for a year is a good deal if you do have a problem.

The bios update features are the best I've seen- from the bios prompt you can update to latest over the internet effortlessly, or, if you want to go to a specific earlier version it's as easy as putting in on a usb stick.

The built in Intel video is an excellent value - no problem running two monitors using any DVI/d-sub or HDMI-d-sub. I also run an AMD card on one of them with no hassles either.

Nice 8 channel Audio chipset if you care about same.

Cons: A light on the board when power is on would be nice.

Other Thoughts: I have two, one for 1 1/2 years, the other recent. I searched exhaustively through my options and arrived at exactly the same board. Amazing how inexpensive it is compared to what we used to pay for a decent board.

If you're going to use the built-in video I suggest you go into the bios and set the north bridge option to init the built in video first.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy-peasy

Pros: I3 3720 and this MB are great. replaced an old MB and 775 dual core in two hours . Popped in a stick of corsair 1600mhz, 4GB laying around(windows 32 bit) and hooked up my OS SSD and let Windows 7 do its thing before I updated drivers. It ran great off the Intel graphics but I ended up putting in a 7750 AMD fan-less to pop up my score. Every thing runs cool.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Great upgrade for the price. Cheapest I've ever done.

4 out of 5 eggsNot Purchased through Newegg

Pros: Everything it is advertised to be, fits the purpose the build was intended for.

Cons: HD Audio Connector as was said in other reviews is too close to the X16 PCI slot making installation of my GPU almost impossible. The GPU is an old 550ti but it was intended to be used in the build, so I had to mod the shroud by cutting a notch out so it would seat up without ruining the the audio cable.
All in all, it was not a major issue to overcome, but should not have been an issue to begin with.

Other Thoughts: This board has some nice features for the price, and is in my opinion a good product for anyone looking to build a small form factor rig at a low cost.
I love Newegg, any buy 99% of my stuff from here, but this time it was at a lower price with less shipping fees elsewhere.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board for great price

Pros: Lots of features: 7.1 CH HD Audio, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.0, PCIe 3.0 x16. Great price. Supported Crucial DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) at 8-8-8-24 with easy BIOS setting change. The dark color and black connectors looks cool in a black case.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Had to RMA first board because it would not POST. Not sure if it was the board or the processor. Newegg sent replacements for both and they worked perfect right out of the box the second time.

5 out of 5 eggsEnjoying this board

Pros: Lots of features
Relatively cheap
Features, features features.

Cons: A little expensive

Other Thoughts: ASRock boards have a tendancy to be vey thin thus flexible... plainly fragile. Doesn't really matter because they are bolted in a case, yet, make sure to connect the ram outside the board and to screw as many screws as possible.
I'm really loving this board, It's got all 3 display connectors, optical out, pcie 1 and 3, and alot of features for a mATX board. Currently being used as a NAS but will definitively be getting a second... This is my 3rd ASRock board and all three have been rock solid.

1 out of 5 eggsNo power! Bent CPU socket pins!

Pros: Going through NewEgg RMA process. Stay tuned........

Cons: I question the process on AsRock QOC checks on new motherboards. I have purchased four previous AsRock boards and never experienced this.

Other Thoughts: Awaiting the replacement of another new Asrock H77 board. My new system build is now on hold.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
For the power issue, please check the power supply and grounding issue causing the problem.
The CPU socket is covered with the protection cap to avoid damage the pins and should not be removed until installing a CPU. In addition, the CPU socket pins on the mainboard are fragile and need to be handling with carefully.
If you have any technical questions or warranty issues please contact our Tech Support at We can assist you shortly.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Micro-ATX Board

Pros: -What can i say, it works great.
-I got it for $70.00 on Black Friday, and i'd definitely pay $90.00 for it today.
-ASRock Extreme Tuning Something or another is a nice little program. Easy on resources, and it tells you some nice information. Has overclocking, but doubt it does much. Its a non-K CPU on an H77 board so that doesn't make since.
-Gobs of SATA Connectors(See Cons)

Cons: **These are more annoyances**
-Has a bunch of ASRock fast this, and fast that. Don't install it, its stupid.(Minus the ASRock Extreme Tuning Something or another)
-The audio connector is under the GPU if you use the 3.0 slot. Not a big deal, but i installed my GPU prior to the front audio, and spent forever looking for that connector. Learn from my stupidity.
-Gobs of SATA Connectors, but i guess your only supposed to use these ones that are sticking off the side of the board. I don't know, i only needed 2 so i didn't bother looking into the subject.

Other Thoughts: Very Happy, works good, has more features then other boards like it. What more can I say?

1 out of 5 eggstotal failure

Pros: the bios look really cool

Cons: everything, out of the box started having problems. memory slots were not working, new egg said the CPU needles were bend, which they were not, but asrock is such a bad company that they dont want anything back because they know its bad as soon as it leaves their hands.

Other Thoughts: dont buy asrock products unless you want to know what a bad experience is. product is horrible; however newegg valued me as a customer and gave me a refund even tho they claimed i physical damaged the motherboard which isnt true at all. And for that i thank you newegg. and will continue to purchase from them

Manufacturer Response:

Dear AsRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. AsRock mainboards are fully tested to assure that they're working before shipped. The CPU socket pins on the mainboard are fragile and need to be handling with carefully. In addition, the CPU socket is covered with the cap to avoid damage the pins and should not be removed until installing a CPU. As always, we appreciate your purchase and constructive reviews are welcome.

Thank you
