5 out of 5 eggsBeen going strong for 18 months

Pros: Inexpensive, has all the video outputs I need, ITX. Really, this board rocks for the money.

Cons: Only ONE PCI-e slot. I realize it's an ITX, but my case looks like it could have a second slot. It'd be nice, but not necessary.

Other Thoughts: I see a lot of people have had bad reviews about this board. I bought it in February 2013 and it's now halfway thru August 2014. I keep the system on 24/7 as my home 'server,' and could not be more pleased.

Plus, I just added an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 PCI-e WiFi card, and I now have WiDi!

1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't Last

Pros: Fit inside ITX case alright.

Cons: USB ports failed after only a couple of days in use, performance declined until the board failed completely after 3 months. Will not post, even to the point of getting BIOS beeps. RAM tested good, power supply is good, CPU is good.

Other Thoughts: The RMA process is convoluted, it took many phone calls and emails to get an actual RMA number. Board was installed in a client computer, client opted to upgrade (and purchase a different brand) per our suggestion.

Quality final product and fast turn around make our technology shop competitive, poor quality in the parts that we use reflects badly on us and so for that reason we will not be using ASRock products again. The RMA took too long to process and we don't have any confidence that a replacement will be better quality.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

Sorry to hear that the mainboard has malfunctioned after 3 months which’s due to nature of electronic product, it can happen.
We always do our best to support customers. Unfortunately, it does not meet your needs.
However, we do reply both email and phone promptly except on week-end and holidays.
If you have any technical issues or warranty questions please contact us at 909-590-8308 or http://www.ASRock.com/support/tsd.asp. We will assist you shortly.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: - Has Nice features
- Good price
- No problems with it

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Wanted to write a review on this motherboard, since there are so many bad ones. I'm guessing the people who get a faulty motherboard get angry and write a review (nothing wrong with that), and the people who have a good motherboard don't bother, since they have no problems.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard no problems.

Pros: Great price, ,Great graphics,HDMI output.
Asrock has good customer support.

Cons: None so far.
This board has been running my sons desktop for 8 months flawlessly.

Other Thoughts: I upgraded a old HP tower with this Motherboard combined with a Intel Celeron g1610 CPU and Kingston Hyper X Blu 2x2GB.Running Windows 8 64 bit.(Old hard drive from HP tower)
All for 265.00$
I know when people here Celeron they think it's old technology but don't underestimate these new Celerons.
For 49.00$ this CPU has HD integrated graphics and runs Windows 8 with absolutely no problems.
My sons not a gamer and he mainly uses his computer for internet browsing.
Great set up if that's what you use your computer for and you can't beat the price.

5 out of 5 eggsworks for me

Pros: It works with Debian Jesse/testing, GNU/Linux OS xfce, switched from Ubuntu, given Ubuntu Unity breaks the OS even when you uninstall Unity (lots of pain).
I had to make a special boot USB stick with the proprietary firmware for the Ethernet hardware (.dep file) in a separate dos partition on the USB boot stick.

Cons: ?

2 out of 5 eggsDead in a few months

Pros: Fast, a lot a features as SATA6 and USB3 and HDMI. Hoped it would be a base for a mini HTPC.

Cons: It was good for a few months, now its dead (no booting, black screen) and AsRock service is very poor. It took me more than 10 days just to get AsRock attention to the dead m/b and the problem is still there!

Other Thoughts: Still waiting for RMA!

1 out of 5 eggsPoor ASRock products and warranty service.

Pros: Some nice features for HTPC.

Cons: Motherboard was DOA and would not power on.
1. For this ASRock model motherboard, Poor warranty and customer support.
2. ASRock RMA procedures for defective items requires you to return the item to an authorized retailer. This gives you a high probability of getting retailer recycled junk motherboards and other ASRock products.
3. Open box or refurbished products are not covered by manufacturer warranty. I am sure this explains the reason there are so many open box and refurbished ASRock motherboards of this model for sale on Newegg. You do not want to try and save a few dollars to find out that the motherboard has no warranty. Repairing this motherboard will cost you $50 plus your cost to ship the motherboard back to ASRock.

Other Thoughts: Just a few items that I have learned as a follow up to my previous review.

Read the fine print about defective item replacement and watch warranties. Depending on the model of motherboard, other manufactures offer longer warranties for their products.

From ASRock's own RMA form:
6. Out of warranty, open box or refurbished products are not covered by manufacturer warranty. If you still prefer to RMA out of warranty, open box or refurbished product, ASRock will charge $50 Labor & Service fee and provide three months warranty for the replacement.

The motherboard that I purchased was in the original serial number matching box and all accessories were sealed in their origInal packages. I returned the defective motherboard to the retailer and will be buying a MSI or ASUS motherboard to replace this one. This was my first and last ASRock product.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
For the open box items, please refers to Newegg policy at "http://help.newegg.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/183"

1 out of 5 eggsASRock has poor customer service

Pros: None

Cons: DOA junk!!

Other Thoughts: Board was DOA. ASRock wants you to send the board back to the seller for refund instead of being able to send the defective board directly to ASRock for repair. Waste of money shipping around defective junk!!!! My first and last ASRock board.

Manufacturer Response:
