ASRock 970 PRO3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Tons of SATA6 headers
Ton of fan headers
OC'ing is a breeze. I'm running my Phenom X2 965 at 4.2 GHZ without a hitch
Love the UEFI BIOS

Cons: Doesn't have a USB3.0 header. Oh well I can live without that

Pros: Not a bad board for the cost. Very expandable and inexpensive. I was impressed by the board for a while.

Cons: After 6 months the board died. No overclocking or anything. It just died. No post, no beeps, nothing, just died. Now I have the decision of replace with another one (not likely) or buy a separate one. Being that I don't trust the workmanship on the board, I will just buy a different one NOT made by Asrock.

Please trouble shooting the mainboard for below steps with known good components;
Remove the mainboard from inside computer to outside. Place the mainboard on top of the empty mainboard’s box
Clear the CMOS
Reseat the CPU and heatsink fan as well
Test with 1 memory module (non-ECC, un-buffered), try with another known good memory if its same issue.
Video card with 6+6 power (if applied)
Power supply with connecting 24 pins + 8 or 4 pins ATX power to the mainboard
Plug the computer case’s power switch to mainboard's front panel power header and try again

Pros: Cheap price.... so is the quality.

Cons: It worked fine for about a month.... then the trouble began. My harddrive would read wrong, but did fine in my second rig. Same with my 6200 cpu and gskill ram. All of which would malfunction at various times. Im not going to bother with RMAing it since most people here are having problems as well. I had high hopes for this company since it is an off brand ASUS company.

Other Thoughts: Dont bother with this board. This will be my first and last Asrock experience.

Pros: was fun for the 6 hours it lasted

Cons: only lasted 6 hours, locked up and would not post a bios/efi screen no matter what I did.

Other Thoughts: This board is a DUD.......I ended up buying this
Item#: N82E16813130637 for my 8-core.......so far so good.

Newegg was great about the return process.....already recieved my refund.

Pros: Looks Great, all the features you want for the right price!!!!

Cons: recieved board DOA, tried removing everything but the speaker, cpu, and power supply connections(24 and 8 pin) no beeps but power supply comes on!!! Fans when connected power up.
Asked for T/S got a "beginners guide to troubleshooting MB" email, remove all -- clear CMOS -- count beeps --DUH! no beeps! now waiting for newegg RMA!! crossing fingers!!! if another DOA!!! MSI gets the shot!

Other Thoughts: currently crossing fingers that the cost won't get out of control with the returns!!! hope the Second board is a good one~!!!! PLEASE!!!!

Pros: -ASRock xTreme Tuner. With this program, it makes it very easy to monitor your CPU's/Mobo's temps, fan speed, everything.

-With the program mentioned above, overclocking is extremely easy.

-Good mobo that does what I need it to, good price for the 80 bucks.

Cons: -None so far.

Other Thoughts: Good mobo, remember, this is NOT a hardcore gamer enthusiast mobo. It only comes with 1 PCI x16 slot, don't think about getting this and trying to SLI. And put the CPU and Heatsink in BEFORE you put it in the case. My friends were having this problem with their 970.

Pros: Price. Crossfire capable. Plenty of USB ports. Bios compatible with AM3+ out of the box.

Cons: None yet at this price point.

Other Thoughts: Purchased in a combo with the FX-6300. Bios was ready for the AM3+ cpu out of the box. Have it running at 10% oc via the auto oc in the bios.

Pros: Worked Great for 36 hours.

Cons: Completely dead after 36 hours of use. Had to pay almost 12 bucks in return shipping. Am now waiting on replacement.

Other Thoughts: I used to like ASRock boards. This one burned in for a full 24 hours. Delivered it to client. It worked for one business day. Replaced it with a different model of motherboard as I am now gun shy on this one.

Pros: Great price, all of the requirements appear to be there. Love the look of it as well.

Cons: It doesn't work. It powers up but there is no video or peripheral devices working. There are no beeps to indicate what is wrong. I tried several configurations including no RAM, no Video card, 2 CPU's (FX 8120 and a Phenom x4)...nothing worked. No POST or video at all. Newegg was quick to offer a replacement it however I just ordered an MSI 970A-G46 (board of equal value) instead. Too bad, I think I may have just gotten a bad board. I have another ASRock board that has worked A-OK for a year, and was even cheaper. Perhaps just bad luck of the draw...although I see many of those in reading the reviews about this particular mobo.
