4 out of 5 eggseconomy compute node...w/o amd backplate

Pros: This is good for a cheap compute node: a $50 motherboard with 1G network and a DVI video out supporting 16G ram or so - this is a convenient solution. The AM3+ socket and thus 8xxx CPUs are pretty dirt-cheap, so you can get 8 4GHz cores with 16G memory for about $200+$150, put it on this $50 motherboard, then buy a $50 power supply and you're almost at the sweet spot for about $450.

Cons: I assumed this would come with the am3+ backplate, so I also bought an arctic freeze cooler for $25 but was unable to put it on. The cpu fan mount would work for the stock cpu fan, but those can be kind of loud, so if you are like me and you pay a bit for a cool and quiet cpu, buy a backplate to mount it on.

5 out of 5 eggsA decent board

Pros: Inexpensive board, built for comfort, not for speed.

Cons: Wish it had USB3 internal connection but what do you want for $50?

Other Thoughts: Don't forget to disable the onboard graphics if you are using a PCI Express card.

5 out of 5 eggsGood choice from current crop

Pros: No problems pairing with Phenom II X6 (1100T, 125W). Stress tests perfect, running fine.

BIOS and power configuration is perfectly adequate for basic overclocking.

Memory compatibility is good.

Legacy support is great.

Cons: NO USB front-panel header! I knew this, but I still want it.

BIOS is not fancy, but is hardly impaired. I'm not at all frustrated with it.

Other Thoughts: Currently its hard to find a MicroATX board with SATA3, a USB3 header, and IDE support.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressed

Pros: I like to use micro ATX motherboards and found this one reasonably priced with USB3 ports and two sata3 ports plus the four Sata2 ports.
Installed Win 8.1 full version with no problems and all drivers installed automatically.

Installed an FX-8320 cpu, Nvidia 750Ti graphics card and an ssd hard drive.

Cons: None at this time........

Other Thoughts: Nice kit in a small package

4 out of 5 eggsGood budget motherboard

Pros: This is a great budget board for anybody buying an fx-6300 or below (performance and wattage wise). I use this board in a gaming rig with an fx-6300, 4x2 GB of ddr3 1600mhz ram, and an r9 270x gpu. I'm running Windows 8.1. Everything works great with this board. Cheap and stable. All the cons I listed are really OK consideting how cheap and stable the board is.

Cons: No case usb 3.0, not an over-clocking board, and bios are very spartan.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, USB3, SATA3, mATX, AM3+

Cons: Old 760G chipset, 'Slow' SATA3 chip, no front panel USB3, only 2 RAM slots

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for an AM3+ mATX board there's only a handful of options, and this is the only one with USB3 and 'SATA3'. I paired this board with an FX-6300, 16GB of RAM, a SATA3 SSD and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. Everything posted immediately and reported correctly, no driver or bios issues, and I'm loving the speed.

4 out of 5 eggs1 Perfect, 1 Not

Pros: Good features and good performance.

Cons: Onboard sound went out.

Other Thoughts: I have bought two of these. 1st one is working perfectly. The second not so perfect. The onboard sound worked fine the first day. The second day a loud static sound erupted and then the sound went out.
