Pros: I bought this with an i5 and HDD for a friend to play some easy games on. Just simple flying games. It was easy to install and came with two SATA cables. Works great wiith the GTX 650ti.

Cons: None.

Pros: Well it works.

Cons: Says it supports Hyper Threading, but when I go to the Bios it says it doesn't support it. I know my CPU supports that feature.

2 out of 5 eggsHard Feezes

Pros: When it works it works well.

Cons: It doesn't like to work well. It randomly hard freezes at and random work load. At first I thought it was a HDD problem, then a graphics driver problem, then a RAM problem. However no matter what I did nothing worked. The BIOS doesn't work for me now which is what made me finally realize that this motherboard is broken. Do not get this board, I realize now that tons of other people have the same problem with this board. ASRock is a good company, but this board does not live up to any sort of good standard. I emailed their tech support about it and hopefully I can get an RMA going.

Other Thoughts: It has a lot of USB ports...

Pros: Quick transfer speeds, good bios layout. Easy install

Cons: I have had the board for 3 months and the BIOS has just failed. I am trying to get an RMA together and Asrock so far has been mostly unresponsive to the situation.

Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY ASROCK!!!

Pros: Have had nothing but great experiences with this board! Great connectivity and functionality.

Cons: Not a con but the PCI-E tabs are different from the majority of other motherboards.

Pros: It has a lot of bang for a surprisingly low price tag. Lots of software utilities for tweaking.

Cons: needs more USB ports

Other Thoughts: along with most of the other newer boards out there, this board has an onboard VGA adapter. Why? I dunno, its a gaming board and people who are purchasing it know that. I would prefer that the space for said VGA adapter be used for more USB, Firewire or thunderbolt ports. Just my opinion though. Its still a good board for the price

Pros: It turns out that my board was freezing due to a corrupt installation of my favorite browser. The browser that has an icon that resembles a fox with an orangish color. After uninstalling and reinstalling the browser I haven't had a single lockup or crash and my pc is running my favorite games silky smooth.

Cons: None now

Other Thoughts: Good board at a good price. I see the board has been discontinued since I resolved my issues.

Pros: - Feature rich for the price
- Simple to navigate UEFI BIOS

Cons: - As many others have reported, the board will frequently freeze up independent of load on the system.
- Board itself didn't feel that sturdy. Severe flex near memory slots.

Other Thoughts: As other reviewers have reported, this board has some definite issues with random, internment freezing. Sometimes I went a day without freezing, and other days I had 3-4 freezes in a matter of a few hours. I've tried all the suggested methods to remedy the freezing, including replacing the PSU and GPU. All other components were transferred from a perfectly working system. Nothing fixed the freezing.

After RMAing the board for an Extreme4, all freezing went away and the computer has been rock-solid stable for days. It seems there may be an issue with the current revision of this board and freezing. I would highly recommend staying away from this board right now, and spend the extra money on the Extreme4 if you want to stay within ASRock, or consider an ASUS brand board.

Pros: Price
Connections/features

Cons: Like other people noted here it has a tendency to lock up for no apparent reason. I tested two different CPU's, multiple RAM sticks, and used multiple video cards (including IGP), but it would randomly freeze requiring a reboot. Usually this happened under low voltage situations. It would stress test without any issues. I was using the latest Bios.

Other Thoughts: If it worked right, I would recommend as it had the best features in its price class, however, it didn't work right for me so I don't recommend it.
