4 out of 5 eggsIt works, well for a while at least

Pros: Raid works, Overclocking works, Its pretty stable

Cons: Terrible northbridge, it died after 8 months, no fan speed control, well at least that works, kind of bad bios, raid lenthens boot times a lot, just in general i guess, you get what you pay for. but lately every asrock board me and my friends use dies, or comes dead, making me question overall reliability, i have a duron on a biostar that is over 10 years old still working.

Other Thoughts: very friendly customer service.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great BIOS, lots of configuration options. Upgrading bios is flawless. 8pin cpu power is great where most other mobos only have 4pin.

Cons: 6months in north bridge craps the bed and Im unable to use 4 memory modules at once anymore, only works now with 2.

Memory slot closest to the cpu can be a problem with bigger cpu heatsinks.

Other Thoughts: Would buy asrock products again, but nothing this cheap.

2 out of 5 eggsFaulty HDMI on Arrival

Pros: The MB was easy to install, had an easy-to-use BIOS, and seemed to run and boot fine. Relatively easy to tweak.

Cons: HDMI did not work whatsoever when it arrived. I spent ~2 weeks working on getting it going and after finally contacting ASRock Support and troubleshooting with them, they suggested I get a replacement board from the vendor (Newegg). I RMA'd the board and actually went with an ASUS board to replace this one because Newegg sold out of these before my RMA.

Could use more HDMI (working ones :-) ) and USB3.0 ports, but relatively comparable to others.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

Sorry to hear that the HDMI port has malfunctioned, which’s due to nature of electronic product, it can happen.
Hopefully, mainboard will be back in stock soon.
As always, we appreciate your purchase and reviews are welcome.

Thank you

4 out of 5 eggsNice board w/ options, however cramped

Pros: Excellent running board, lots of options in BIOS for OC'ing and tweaking. Great RAM support.

Cons: Placement of board main power connector leaves a little left to be desired. Right next to the RAM slots? Plus, its proximity to the HDD cage, leave a lot left to be desired and makes for some pretty cramped quarters.

3 out of 5 eggsAsrock: Great products, mediocre warranty service

Pros: Nicely featured board for the price. Cable control-friendly board layout. Not overly flashy in its colors. Speedy turnaround in their warranty service (once you're actually able to get an RMA - see below).

Cons: Warranty service is iffy (at best). Started having a no-POST issue with the board. Replaced parts with known-good items until I was able to Asrock and Newegg really need to workout their differences. I felt like I was playing with an old See-And-Say toy: "Asrock says, "Handle your warranty through your reseller!"" "Newegg says, "Handle your warranty through your manufacturer!"" Eventually I was able to find a way to issue a customer service tag which led to an RMA through which I was able to get a replacement unit. Here's the problem though: I don't know if I was expecting a new unit or refurbished, but I wasn't expecting a unit that was COATED WITH LITTLE BITS OF SILVER THERMAL PASTE FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER.

Other Thoughts: Thanks guys! I really wanted to spend a good hour with a q-tip and some iso alcohol removing thermal grease from a new board! That was just a pleasure! </sarcasm>

I have used Asrock boards for the last 3 computer builds I've done for myself (including this one). I've recommended and installed them into friends' computers, citing their great price/features and performance ratio. That stops now. I will install this "new" board and use it, but I can't trust it. And if I can't trust a component in my computer I'll be looking for a replacement in short order. And it won't be from Asrock.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: none

Cons: No video from HDMI, DVI, D-sub or video card tested two a gtx 560 and hd radeon 7850.
No beep code with speaker attached.
Removed RAM. No beep code with speaker attached.
Removed CPU. No beep code with speaker attached
cleared the cmos and still no post

Other Thoughts: RMA one earlier in the week got the second one today same problem.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Please trouble shoot the mainboard;
Turn the power off.
Remove the mainboard from chassis, place the mainboard on mainboard’s box
Clear the CMOS
Reseat the CPU and heatsink fan as well
Test with single memory module (non-ECC, un-buffered), try with another known good memory if its same issue
Plug monitor to onboard VGA (CPU with iGPU/APU supported or test with VGA card)
Plug the 24 pins + 8 or 4 pins ATX power
Plug the chassis power switch to mainboard's system panel power header, and try again
If you have any technical issues or warranty questions please contact us at We can assist you shortly.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as it should

Pros: Very Fast. Stable. Don't have to overclock my 1866 RAM. Plenty of USB ports. What can I say? When it comes to price vs. functionality this is definitely a winner.
Would recommend and buy again

Cons: nada

Other Thoughts: Got this after 2 DOA MSI mobos. ASRocks is awesome.

4 out of 5 eggsWhy LPT Port

Pros: Lots of Sata, USB Ports. Posted

Cons: No IDE Port and I needed it for DVD. Cost me 15 bucks for new Sata DVD. But they provide internal LPT port. That is worthless.

Other Thoughts: No Biggie, but waste of money with LPT port

5 out of 5 eggsAsrock Is the best

Pros: This is the best board for the money.I had this ATX version of this board for 10 months.I made a rookie mistake and was in a hurry and didn't use my standoffs properly when switching cases and fried the board..I called Asrock and even though it was my fault, the gave me a replacement for free. That is awesome.Great Company.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I have a richland A6 OC'd to 4.7 with a stock cooler...runs great with low temps.Great Bios

4 out of 5 eggsFM2A75 Pro-4M

Pros: 1. 5 SATA 6Gb ports and 1 eSATA 6Gb. 2. FULL size micro-ATX. 3. UEFI is laid out nice and easy to use. 4. 4 pin fan header. 5. 4 DIMM slots

Cons: UEFI interface "glitches" or jumps sometimes while navigating. Hopefully will be resolved in a future update. 1 SATA port wouldn't recognize a DVD drive attached to it. move to a different port and all was well. Might be my mistake, but I've never had that happen before.

Other Thoughts: Overall I'm very pleased with this board. I'm using it with an A4 5300 APU in a HTPC and it's doing great! It's running cool, quiet and fast!
