Cons: I bought this board but could not get the LAN drivers installed. I tried updating the BIOS and got the dreaded Error 55. I tried 3 different sets of RAM that are all working on other machines to no avail. I RMAed the first board and got a second one, only to have the same thing happen again. I've tried reseating the CPU. No pins are broken or anything. I've tried using only one stick of RAM to no avail. When I tried to explain this to ASRock, I was told to try different RAM.
Other Thoughts: So far it has not been a good experience with ASRock, though Newegg has taken pretty good care of me. If I can't get this board to work, I'm going to go with a different manufacturer. I won;t get what I want SATA wise, but hopefully I will have a computer that works.
Manufacturer Response:
Dear ASRock Customer
We sincerely apologize that you having difficulty with mainboard. Sorry to hear the second mainboard having same issue. Code 55 related to memory and/or its controller. Since already verified the CPU socket pins are fine, please try the steps to check if it’s solved. Turn the power off, clear the CMOS. Test with 1 stick memory (non-ECC, un-buffered) in A1 slot, try with another known good memory if its same issue. Test single memory on each memory slot one at the time. Check the memory is in the mainboard’s support list at link “http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z77%20Extreme11/?cat=Memory “ to avoid compitable issue. If you have any technical questions or warranty issues please contact our Tech Support at http://www.ASRock.com/support/tsd.asp. We can assist you shortly.
Thank you

Rating: 5/5Awesome!!!
Pros: Bus Speed, Easy of OC, RAM Speed, 2 Intel LAN, WiFi, Bluetooth, Discrete Video Board support, Numbers of SATA3 and USB3 ports, LSI SAS2/SATA3 Controler, hot swap support, Fast Boot, UEFI UI, Cool looking design, Tired of boards that limit my expansion capabilities, this boards capabilities seem endless... Easy out of the box OC, RAM compatability..., Dehumidifyer]
Cons: Limited Power Phases to 8+4, Price.
Other Thoughts: I had an MSI Z68-GD80(G3)board previously. Love MSI, and my MB, but it had limited expandability, limited USB3.0 ports, seemed tempermental when it came to OC over 4.2G, lots of blue screens and errors, tempermental on RAM and RAM OC as well. My new ASRock Extreme11 OC'd to 4.4.G right out of the box in th eUEFI UI easily. Easy tweaking beyond that as well. Greta expandability and ports for what ever you might want to do... The sky is the limit...

Rating: 1/5Not very impressive (Update)
Pros: Onboard Bluetooth module / Wifi Module are now the only things I find to be a "pro" about this motherboard.
Cons: Let's face the facts. The only reason people are buying this motherboard is for the LSI SATA controller. Otherwise why pay the extra over something like the Extreme9.
Let me tell you unequivocally, after owning this motherboard for a few months, that the onboard LSI SAS2308 controller is ***COMPLETE*** --- ***GARBAGE*** ....
It's like ASrock slapped it on the motherboard, used the specs from the chipset on an actual RAID card ... and did absolutely no testing of their own. The performance sucks. It detects media errors on drives that are completely fine and breaks "Virtual Drives" (ie: Raid volumes). ALL the drives on the controller sporadically disappear. I guess the heatsync fan (which sucks also, btw) can't keep up with all this " *BLAZING PERFORMANCE* ", and the chip just quits. Who knows.
Other Thoughts: Dont even consider buying this garbage.
Manufacturer Response:
Dear ASRock Customer
We sincerely apologize that you having difficulty with LSI RAID on mainboard. However, the RAID controller onboard (LSI SAS2308) has certain quality and its’ performance out of the box. For more information about controller please visit "http://www.lsi.com/products/storagecomponents/Pages/LSISAS2308.aspx". As always, we appreciate your purchase and constructive reviews are welcome.
Thank you

Manufacturer Response:
Dear AsRock Customer
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Code 55 related to memory and its controller. Please remove the CPU to check mainboard’s CPU socket pins should not be bent. Reseat the CPU and cooler if the pins are normal. Test with 1 stick memory in each memory slot one at the time to eliminate the slot issue. If you have any technical questions please contact us at http://www.asrock.com/support/tsd.asp. We can assist you shortly.

Pros: When i got this mobo I was really up for my new build.I had all the top notch parts ready to go.I made sure i had the correct memory, qvl right from their websight gskill sniper-F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR.Im not going to list all the parts because i tested the mobo before i installed it.
Cons: so i hooked up everything on my testbed, cpu 3770k,above mensioned ram,h100i cpu cooler,nzxt850 gold which i tested before install i also installed my samsung 840 ssd.pressed the power button, boom error code 55 which is no memory installed.before i tried other common memory i finally got bank a3 to function all other banks were empty.ok so i go into the bios loaded optimized defaults started the bios update procedure boom comp shuts down. i restart now error code 55 again did everything asrock says to trouble shoot still nothing.error code 55 use corsair vengence memory,a different gkill mem, cosair xms mem all configs known to man.again i reseat the cpu take the battery out test the sniper memory on another comp E.C. 55. SOnow im looking at the cpu socket pins for the fifth time with a hight power magnifyer all pins are perfectly straight.my only conclusion is this 400.00 mobo has faulty memory slots, what a major disapointment.
Other Thoughts: Iwould like to say i did not buy this product from newegg if i did it might have worked because i dont think i ever got a faulty product from newegg after buying thousands of dollars worth of parts.asrocks tech support is horrible.i do have the asrock fatality z77 pro which works great.400.00 down the stinking drain are you kidding me.

Pros: Lots of USB3 ports... 2 ports for front-panel USB headers (4 total ports)... Lots of SATA ports... The built-in bluetooth/wifi minipci card is a nice touch... Otherwise it's a pretty standard motherboard.. No problems with it so far.
Cons: The 8-port onboard LSI SATA3 6G/Sec RAID controller looked really nice on paper, was a huge selling point, and convinced me to rush into this purchase... Unfortunately, it's performance has been pretty far under-par for me so far.
