5 out of 5 eggsGreat little mobo, well worth the price

Pros: Excellent price/feature ratio.
All 3 output options: analog VGA, DVI-D, HDMI.
2x old school PCI slots on a Micro ATX!
On board and front panel USB 3.0.

Cons: I'm not a huge fan of the stock LGA 1155 cooler fasteners but that's not the fault of this board.
Factory applied a sticker suggesting that all boot HDDs be attached to the SATA 2 ports, not SATA 3. No other explanation in manual.

Other Thoughts: Used this board along with a Celeron G1610 and 4G G.SKILL RAM stick for a low power home server rebuild. I'm also using this as a MythTV back end and needed 2x PCI slots for my older ATSC tuner and PVR-500 cards. I purposely stayed cheap and low heat but would not hesitate to install a LGA 1155 Core processor in this board if I wanted a higher performance system.

3 out of 5 eggsthe Beatles said it - No Reply

Pros: Have used AsRock boards for several years now and we are very happy with them over-all.
Good feature set.
Reasonable priced.
Decent B.I.O.S. settings
Very few problems for the amount of boards we go thru.

Cons: Will get an occasional board that will not P.O.S.T.
If we don't put the board in service within 30 days, we cannot return it to Newegg and must deal with manufacturer RMA procedure, even though it was D.O.A. out of the box.
We attempted this today, and after replying to the AsRock customer support email requesting a copy of our invoice, we got this:
"domain has no valid mail exchangers"

Other Thoughts: Don't let this put you off from purchasing AsRock motherboards.
They make a good product.
For the sheer volume we do, an occasional glitch can be expected.
We have used a lot of them and we would not hesitate to recommend it.
The important thing to remember is how well you are treated when a problem arises.
This remains to be seen.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Was not DOA. User manual is easy to go through and short. Cheapest board I could find with more than 1 6Gb/s connection.

Cons: System panel header didn't fit my cases PLED connector due to pin spacing but that's an easy fix. lol Also, it came with a bunch of junk drivers but those are easily not installed and they all seem to do that.

5 out of 5 eggsMotherboard

Pros: The fact that this beast has 8 Sata ports had me sold. I only needed three but who knows if I wanted to expand outside of those drives.

Cons: None thus far.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic for a server board

Pros: I purchased this board alongside an Intel Celeron (Ivy Bridge) for use in a file/plex/minecraft/mumble/etc server. It has a ton of SATA ports for the price, which was a major factor in my decision to purchase it. It seems well made, and thus far it's been 100% stable since I started it. It just works. And the features, and stability at the price, make this board a fantastic choice. Good job, ASRock.

Cons: Only 2 DRAM slots, but that isn't really a big deal.

Other Thoughts: Running with
Intel Celeron Ivy Bridge 2.6Ghz
8GB Crucial Ballistix 1333 RAM
1x AData 64GB SSD, 3x WD Green 2TB, 1x Hitachi 750GB HDD, 1x Hitachi 320GB HDD, 1x Samsung 500GB HDD
Antec Neo Eco 400C PSU

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Easy system build. Recycled some leftover bits and made a replacement for my now deceased 7-year old AMD S939 system. Good power saving features. Runs Windows 8.1 with ease.

Cons: No cons. Great platform for a very strong "lite" system.

Other Thoughts: Working well with I3-3220. May add discrete graphics card later.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Loaded with SATA ports, PCI slots. Inexpensive

Cons: DOA. NO display, no beeps, no nothing. Tried 2 CPUs, 2 PSUs. Cleared CMOS by reseating the battery. Tried one DIMM at a time with 2 sticks. No luck. Waiting on replacement

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. ASRock mainboards are fully tested to assure that they're working before shipped. Unfortunately, due to nature of electronic product, it can happen.
For the future reference, please remove the CPU to check mainboard's CPU socket pins are normal (should be pointing same way and pattern).
Reseat the CPU and cooler if the pins are normal and try again.
Please update replacement mainboard is working fine.
If you have any technical issues or warranty questions please contact our Tech Support at http://www.ASRock.com/support/tsd.asp. We can assist you shortly.
