5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Boots up and works with no problem.

Cons: Doesn't always resume sending an HDMI signal after it wakes from sleep. I can't determine if it is the motherboard's fault and it isn't that big of a deal.

2 out of 5 eggsNot so good after few months

Pros: X boost boosted apu without any hassle, easy to set up and good for the price

Cons: USB 3.0 ports stopped working, at first they worked fine for weeks and sometimes they didn't, now the 4 ones died which is weird. I'm trying to find a solution for it but I guess that the garbage can will do. Also had few glitches when booting up but nothing that couldn't be fixed with lot of hours of trial and error...

Other Thoughts: I've had ASRock motherboards before and had no problem with them, maybe I got a bad one or as I can see they have no quality at all since so many reviews, guess that will have to switch to another brand...

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsUnable to get Rma after several attempts

Pros: It was good for a minute

Cons: The board died after three days. I'm been requesting an RMA number from ASRock for over 2 weeks. I've submitted SEVERAL RMA forms and still have not received information on getting a new board.

Support is slow, and at this point non-existent. I had to buy a GIGAbyte for a replacement because I can't get anyone to ASRock to properly address this dead board issue

Other Thoughts: Stay far and away from ASRock. If they can't address the customers request to fix a defective productive in a reasonable time (over two weeks now) why bother, since Gigabyte, and other companies (ASUS) provide immediate RMA service.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat Board - Confusing RMA / Support

Pros: Great board, has everything to offer a small media center pc.

Cons: Board died within a few days. I've contact support and rma from the emails listed on their website and have not received a reply. I Need this board replaced IMMEDIATELY, and I'm getting no where with them.

I will update my review later

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Please trouble shoot the mainboard for below steps with known good components;
Unplug the ATX power.
Remove the mainboard from chassis, place the mainboard on mainboard’s box
Clear the CMOS
Check the mainboard’s CPU socket pins are normal (should be pointing same way and pattern)
Reseat the CPU with heatsink fan as well if socket pins are normal
Reseat the CPU and heatsink fan as well
Test with single memory module (non-ECC, un-buffered)
Plug monitor to onboard VGA (CPU with iGPU/APU supported or test with VGA card)
Reseat video card firmly and 6+6 power (if applied)
Plug the 24 pins + 8 or 4 pins ATX power
Plug the chassis power switch to mainboard's system panel power header, and try again
Turn the power on (using onboard power button) to check if its post
If you have any technical issues or warranty questions please contact us at http://www.ASRock.com/support/tsd.asp. We can assist you shortly.

4 out of 5 eggsWorked Great ... For a Week!

Pros: The board is perfect for any home HTPC. Coupled with a good A8 or A10 this board can handle just about anything. I had a full hyperspin installation running every supported emulator configured, and it ran even the most extensive PS2 emulated games great without any frame lose. XBMC ran like a champ as well streaming Full 1080 HD without any slowdowns.

This little board has a lot to offer for a affordability priced miniATX and I was very pleased with it's performance.

Cons: The only con is... well the board died after 2 weeks. And of course neweggs 30 day return policy from day of purchase is the biggest customer rip off I've ever seen.

I will be contacting ASRock for a replacement first thing when they open during the week.

I love this board. It fit extremely well in my Silverstone HTPC Case and I look forward to receiving my replacement.

I've never dealt with ASRock before, so I hope I have no issues with RMA process considering I have all original materials, including box.

I would recommend this board to anyone considering building a HTPC. I understand boards will die at some point or another, this one just happened a bit soon. I'm sure the replacement will be just fine.

Other Thoughts: However, I will no longer order from Newegg (not that they care if they lose a 5 year customer). I'm moving to Tiger where you get an actual rep who will immediately address your issues, and replace your purchase without the nonsensical hassle that Newegg RMA process. If I order a board on the 18th of the month, it takes 5 days to ship, the rest of the parts take another week to come in, that only leaves you with 2 weeks of actual warranty.

Unacceptable.

4 out of 5 eggsWorked fine right out of the box

Pros: High feature set, low cost. Worked fine right away. I hope this keeps up.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace an MSI board that was DOA, and I'm in the middle of an RMA on that board. Right now I have an HTPC that works.

5 out of 5 eggsIll help clear the air on this little fella

Pros: Picked this up at another store because of a bundle deal with a Trinity A10 great board, great bios, no odd occurrences running Windows 7. These APU MINI-itx builds hit a real sweet spot(See notes)
Internet bios update is very nice to have. Board set my GSKILL1866mhz sticks correct on first boot. Aftermarket cooling tweak was easy(see notes). No fiery malfunctions as the OC goofballs predicted(please)

Cons: I guess for some 20 extra dollars you can push up to top speed ram sticks and push an OC a bit more I guess.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed with my first ASRock MB

Pros: Bought this board with high expectations... form factor. USB 3.0, HDMI, etc. would have been great to have for a small system.

Cons: DOA and total waste of time. Although I'm very experienced with builds, could not get this past the 5 initial beeps upon poweron. The error isn't even mentioned in the manual. Cleared CMOS settings, etc. but no help.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Please trouble shoot the mainboard;
Turn the power off.
Remove the mainboard from inside computer to outside, place the mainboard on top of the empty mainboard’s box.
Clear the CMOS.
Reinstall the CPU and cooler.
Connect the chassis speaker and power switch.
Connect both 24 +4 pins ATX power.
Turn the power on to check if its making 3 beeps repeatedly (no memory installed).
Install the single memory if it receives 3 beeps (remain power off).

5 out of 5 eggsMighty Mouse

Pros: Small form factor and good features. Used this and an A8 in a moded cube case for an HTPC build.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I mounted a massive after market cooler on this board by using four rubber washers on the back side to space the back plate away from the board.
