5 out of 5 eggsEverything good for me.

Pros: Good USB 3.0 slots, including headers.
Good Price.
Purchased October of 2013, making this board a little over a year old at time of review. Overclocked my 8320 to 4.3 ghz on it without issue.
Easy overclocking.

Cons: None for me.

Other Thoughts: The bad reviews initially scared me. The price was good. I tried it and haven't been let down yet.

2 out of 5 eggsdo your research

Pros: not bad looking
works? i guess

Cons: regular BSOD's
weird placement

Other Thoughts: This was my first build, and it went off without a hitch. I was willing to forgive the fact that several cables weren't long enough to reach because of the the weird placement of there plugs on the motherboard, and had to be left out in the middle of the case. After I got all the drivers and stuff installed, I finally was able to test out some games. After a little while though my testing was cut short by a BSOD. I double checked that I had all the correct drivers installed and that they were up to date. They started to happen all the time though, but I didn't know what to do about it. a few days after the initial BSOD I was asked if I had had any trouble with BSODs on pc part picker, because of my mobo. I looked into it, and apparently its a common problem with this mobo, which I would have known if I had payed more attention. So I'm stuck with it for now, it will probably be the first thing I upgrade though, as my computer is almost unusable if I plan to be on it for any extended period of time.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Motherboard

Pros: For the price I got this motherboard for ($60.00) it was a very good deal. It performs in the manner that any motherboard should, and everything works great on it.

All of my components that I already had, CPU, Memory, video card, etc had no issues with this motherboard. I wish I could have afforded the 970 Extreme3 R2.0 version but this one does the job.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat upgrade

Pros: -great price for performance (bought for 59.99$)
-4 ram slots
-xboost easy over clock
-am3+ 8-core compatability
-dual pci-e slots
-PCI slots have great placement on board

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I was worried it ship DoA or die soon due to reviews so I got an extra year warranty. Also some of the people reviewing it and saying it's DoA probably don't have the too much tech skill. It took me awhile to boot it because I didn't know how to wire my new case to it.

1 out of 5 eggsIs it Broken?

Pros: What do I say...?

Cons: Dead on arrival
Doesn't have imputs for video
No sound for mobo errors to help aid in troubleshooting.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this thinking it was an alright board with USB 3.0 headers, had some decent reviews, price was OK for my build. Well, now I have to go through the hassle of more troubleshooting and probably will just return it and never use their company again.

1 out of 5 eggsWon't accept most memory.

Pros: Seems to be fast WHEN it is working.... Sometimes.....

Cons: Will not accept 99% of memory. The only memory which seems to work a bit is a specific model of Kingston memory but it keeps switching to/from ganged memory and NO other memory from the 10 other computers works on this mobo. Can i have my money back please. this is the first time i buy from Asrock, don't expect any repeats.....
Since i will be throwing them away does anybody want them.........

Other Thoughts: Very bad product.

4 out of 5 eggsA great motherboard for the price

Pros: Very fast motherboard. 2 USB 3.0 jacks in the back and support for 2 in the front. Overclocking is very simple.

Cons: The connections for the front headers are in an awkward place, forcing you to stretch cables to their very limits if you're using a larger case.

5 out of 5 eggsFully supported in Linux with 3.17 kernel

Pros: Lots of features, two 16x PCI and four memory slots. Four fan sockets.

Fully compatible with Linux. I recompiled the 3.17 kernel and every component on the motherboard works great. The audio, all of the many sensors, the network, et cetera. Great for Linux gaming.

Cons: Fan groups 1-2 and 2-3 are adjustable in the BIOS but my Rosewill 120mm Computer Case Fans continue to run at max speed! The motherboard does not seem to control 3-pin fan speed at all so be warned! The 4-pin CPU fan appears to adjust though. Sadly, this means I have to purchase all new 4-pin fans. That's frustrating. Don't make my mistake. Thankfully, the Rosewill fans came with speed adjustment modules but I didn't want the extra clutter!

The IR/CIR input might be great but ASRock doesn't sell the actual module. So good luck XBMC users.

Other Thoughts: I'm a Linux gamer and this board is great except that presumably I needed 4-pin fans. As many of you know, AMD does not have a 22nm FX CPU. So the AMD CPU runs very hot and really requires lots of fans. This motherboard addresses the outdated AMD fabrication process with lots of fan sockets. If you want to run with the big dogs, but at little dog prices, I'd recommend this motherboard!

2 out of 5 eggsPower management issues

Pros: The board seems to be quality made with a nice layout and solid packaging.

Cons: I had nothing but trouble trying to get Windows 7 to sleep and wake up properly. Three clean Windows installs, three different AMD chipset driver versions, and some BIOS tweaking and nothing helped. This was using known good CPU and memory. I gave up and returned it.

Other Thoughts: I had to pay to return ship a faulty product. Why?
