5 out of 5 eggsLinux stable as hell, Windows not so much

Pros: This board has many features, including sensors, five fan connectors, plenty of USB connectors and it is manufactured very well.

In Linux, I have never had any crashes or instability. All the sensors can be read using a custom mainline Kernel. I have enabled all of the sensors.

Cons: The only CON is that people refuse to give up Windows on their desktop. Windows does the BSOD, both Windows 7 64bit and Windows 8. Every test in Linux indicates the motherboard, CPU and RAM are fine.

Con of the motherboard? Unlikely. Con of Microsoft OS? Probably.

Other Thoughts: My old board (Biostar) and AMD CPU also had the BSOD. I tried different Windows versions, same thing. Old AMD was Zambezi and new one is Vishera.

5 out of 5 eggsthis board rocks

Pros: I love this board it has so many options, and the 3 5x express is bad to the bone, I have always used Asuse or gigabyte boards, but I thought I would try this one, and it totally blows the comptetions off the maps, and yes it runs the AMD 6 core Cpus with any issues.

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsBlue Screens of Death

Pros: It seems like a fine motherboard for the price

Cons: Certain actions cause the blue screen of death. Included actions are streaming online video from Hulu or crunchyroll, installing the USB drivers off of the included CD, and occasional crashing at random. At times, things run fine for a few days if I avoid internet streaming.

4 out of 5 eggsSuperb for the price

Pros: -Comfortable UEFI UI.
-Many options to explore
-OS boots in no time; Thank you UEFI.
-Ideal for budget build

Cons: -Flimsy PCI-e locks, both of which are broken after a year of use.

-Very skimpy on the screws.

Other Thoughts: Aside from the fact that my GPU hangs to it's pending doom, it's a great motherboard. No complaints. I've been running this build for over a year now, and have thrown everything at it. Nothing fried out, even after GPU falling out whilst in operation. 4/5 would buy again.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth it...

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Will break after a couple of months

Other Thoughts: Better to waste 10-20 bucks more to get a ASUS or MSI motherboard

3 out of 5 eggsso long as it doesn't break

Pros: This is a great motherboard for its price. It has plenty of bang for your buck......

Cons: ...so long as it doesn't break. I have had mine for under a year and something fried. No post beeps regardless of what periferials are connected. I contacted ASRock tech support but got an auto reply. It stated that all of ASRock is closed for Chinese new year. After they reopened on Monday 3 days ago, I have yet to hear from them at all. I tried Newegg in the hopes I could get my PC back up and running. Newegg told me it was too long for them to do a return/swap out. So now I am without my PC for a week, and am almost being forced to buy from someone else just to get my PC running. I certainly won't be buying another ASRock board.

Other Thoughts: I had heard Newegg bends over backwards for their customers. I guess I didn't spend enough with them.

4 out of 5 eggspci slots broke??

Pros: Great motherboard for the price.

Cons: I had this motherboard laying in its box for nearly a year. when I was finally able to use it the latch that secures the gpu in place on the pci slot snapped off with barely any pressure at all. same happened to the second one.
maybe because it had been laying around unused for a while??

2 out of 5 eggsKids B-Day Present

Pros: Worked awesome out of the box. My son was very happy and having a good time gaming with family and friends. Performed better than expected.

Cons: Quit working after four months. Checked board out and couldn't get to work again.

Other Thoughts: Wish we would bought better board in first place, now i'm out more cash.

5 out of 5 eggsEverything good for me.

Pros: Good USB 3.0 slots, including headers.
Good Price.
Purchased October of 2013, making this board a little over a year old at time of review. Overclocked my 8320 to 4.3 ghz on it without issue.
Easy overclocking.

Cons: None for me.

Other Thoughts: The bad reviews initially scared me. The price was good. I tried it and haven't been let down yet.

2 out of 5 eggsdo your research

Pros: not bad looking
works? i guess

Cons: regular BSOD's
weird placement

Other Thoughts: This was my first build, and it went off without a hitch. I was willing to forgive the fact that several cables weren't long enough to reach because of the the weird placement of there plugs on the motherboard, and had to be left out in the middle of the case. After I got all the drivers and stuff installed, I finally was able to test out some games. After a little while though my testing was cut short by a BSOD. I double checked that I had all the correct drivers installed and that they were up to date. They started to happen all the time though, but I didn't know what to do about it. a few days after the initial BSOD I was asked if I had had any trouble with BSODs on pc part picker, because of my mobo. I looked into it, and apparently its a common problem with this mobo, which I would have known if I had payed more attention. So I'm stuck with it for now, it will probably be the first thing I upgrade though, as my computer is almost unusable if I plan to be on it for any extended period of time.
