5 out of 5 eggsGreat Stable Board

Pros: This is a rock solid board, no pun intended. If you are an avid overclocker then this is not for you. It is not supposed to be an overclocking board and I have not even looked at any of that.
This is for the serious builder seeking stability, reliability, speed, and great features. I have a 4771 installed in the board and have not had a single issue. I have Win 8.1 Pro and use Adobe CC suite for video and picture editing. I render 60-90 minute HD Video that will stress out any system to the max.
Runs rock solid renders.
The board does a great job controlling the fan speeds. At idle the fans are inaudible. Once a render starts the Fan speed up accordingly to keep the case and CPU cool.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I have this setup:

ASRock H87M Pro 4
Intel i7-4771
32GB GSkill
EVGA GTX 560TI
PERC 6/I Raid Card
5X1TB Raid Array - Source Drive
256GB SSD - OS and Application Drive
128GB - Target Drive

Rock Solid

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Matx board

Pros: Sata 6, supports my 4 case fans, 6 usb 3.0, UEFI

Cons: Only 1 PCIe x16, but 1 at 4x

Other Thoughts: Bought another one after flawless performance from my previous one.
Paired with a 4670k and a 4670

You might need to set the stock ram settings from 1333 to whatever your ram supports.

1 out of 5 eggsdead after 3 month

Pros: It worked for a while

Cons: Video quit working after 3 month use.

Other Thoughts: It is the first time mobo died on me. I guess I was lucky all the time or QC gone down since computer sales tanked. ASRock looking at it right now, but I will never buy from them again. It was first one. They might replace it, but I sit without comp right now and wondering why the hell I shall pay for shipment of defective product.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

Sorry to hear that the mainboard has malfunctioned after 3 months which’s due to nature of electronic product, it can happen.
Please update replacement mainboard is working fine.

5 out of 5 eggsNice little mobo

Pros: Love the bios options, small compact board but lots of features, and it wasn't DOA.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Had to get a cheap mobo for my wife's computer and this did the trick got it within 2 days with the free 30 day shoprunner trial and got it up and running quick and easy.

5 out of 5 eggsNot a single problem

Pros: Everything. It wasn't DOA, no broken plugs or anything. Its a great motherboard for the price.

Cons: None so far (I'll update this if it changes, since Ive had the thing for 4 days)

Other Thoughts: Some people took off eggs for not having much on it, but if you don't like that, don't get it, it's not like the board malfunctioned. It fits my purposes.

5 out of 5 eggsStunning!

Pros: Super easy UI and extremely friendly set up. Just plug, download drivers, and play. I'm up and running in 10 minutes!

Cons: None so far, except that it doesn't have an IDE port, but its about time I upgraded to straight SATA anyway.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: N/A

Cons: DOA

Other Thoughts: Cannot give it a fair review because it was DOA but when the replacement comes I will edit this

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Alex,

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Please trouble shoot the mainboard whether the issue is resolved;
Unplug the ATX power.
Remove the mainboard from chassis, place it on mainboard’s box
Clear the CMOS.
Reseat the CPU with heatsink fan
Test with single memory module (non-ECC, un-buffered)
Test with onboard VGA
Plug the 24 pins + 8 or 4 pins ATX power
Plug the chassis power switch to mainboard, and try again
If you have any technical issues or warranty questions please contact us at http://www.ASRock.com/support/tsd.asp. We will assist you shortly.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsTook some trial and error to boot up

Pros: Inexpensive
4 RAM slots
Abundant ports/connectors for a small, cheap board

Cons: Had several unresponsive power-on attempts
BIOS is kind of flashy and goofy looking, but whatevs

Other Thoughts: This build was the longest, most frustrating experience I've had building or repairing PCs, but I can't say what role this board played in the process. There was much removing and adding back of components to just get the CPU fan to spin up, then get to BIOS, and finally have all of the components connected and booting reliably. I wouldn't dock an egg or discourage anyone from using this board, but I would advise persistence if you don't get the expected result right away.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid economy HTPC board

Pros: *Reasonably priced H87 board
*Plenty of slots for future memory, SATA or PCI-E expansion
*Supports multiple monitors (HDMI, DVI, VGA)
*Plenty of USB 3.0 support

Cons: *Connecting the 24-pin ATX power cable can be a chore if you have already seated your memory. They are a tad close on an otherwise roomy board.

Other Thoughts: Bought for a low-cost HTPC system build. I needed something with good enough on-board video (multiple monitor support), good enough integrated 7.1 sound, plenty of SATA interfaces, 4 memory slots for future upgrades, and plenty of USB 3.0 support.

This board does what I need it to without any hiccups or hanging. Easy to configure BIOS, quick installation. With Windows 7, you'll probably need to install the network driver from the disc. If you are unsure of yourself, use the manual--it's very easy to follow and find your way around.

Because this was a low-cost system build, I put this board in a Coolermaster N200 case with Corsair CX750M psu, Intel Pentium G3220 processor, 8 GB Ares DDR3 1600, 128GB Sandisk SSD, and Seagate 4TB SATA HD. All of those components bought on New Egg with significant discounts.

Really easy board to work with if your build is not particularly demanding to begin with.

5 out of 5 eggsBest board sub $100

Pros: Easy to setup
No RAM issues

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I don't use bundled software hardly ever so I can't review that I would say this board is best 1150 board under $100 it supports pci-e 3.0, usb 3, and sata 6GB. What more do you need for a budget PC build?
