Pros: Booted on first try without any issues. Board has been rock solid and I haven't had any problems with it. The BIOS is easy to navigate and the board is loaded with features. The IPMI port for KVM access is a great feature to have at the price for a home server and remote access.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I've been using this for about a month in combination with a Xeon E3-1265L V3 and 16GB of ECC unbuffered value RAM. I bought the open box version of this. I'm running VMware ESXi 6.0 free edition.

Pros: Mostly a very solid board. It was a little picky about the RAM. I selected some that should have been more than sufficient (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226494), but the board refused to boot. I ended up picking some RAM that was in the "tested" documentation (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820239370)

Recently, I had some issues with the IPMI. Support from Asrock Rack was top notch. I got help from William there. He stuck with me until my issues were resolved.

Cons: The IPMI seems a little flakey and the documentation is in reality pretty spare with non-obvious details. It would really be helpful to explain things in more detail.

Pros: Full featured, support for less expensive non-xeon CPU's

Cons: REQUIRES ECC RAM. I thought it was just supported - nope. you Must have ECC, or the board wont boot at all.

Pros: Good overall board, has digital error code indicator. Very Basic Server/Workstation Board. Using it for a DAW/Media setup. Once I got the correct memory(Kingston ECC) it booted right up..

Cons: Unusual Placement of Power Connector makes it difficult to mount video card, just make sure your 24 Pin cable is long enough to fit over video card or use a low profile card.

Other Thoughts: ASRock makes good enthusiast motherboards their entry to server space is well deserved and is a good alternative to the other known brands..
