Pros: good board cheap

Cons: usb 3.0 was missin a pin, box was open (no seal)

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

Thank you for your purchase and review.
The USB 3.0 header's pins count should be total 19 and 1 dummy pin would be missing (its normal).
Please connect the USB 3.0 connector to test (required drivers).

4 out of 5 eggsgood

Pros: Working great now

Cons: Had networking issues with Win 7 before installing SP1. I had to download SP1 on another machine manually, then install on this machine. After that, network works just fine. This was after installing win 7 twice, updating bios, all drivers from asrock website, etc.

5 out of 5 eggsNo complaints

Pros: All the ports I want. Everything works. Wish the PCIe/PCI slots were ordered differently but it works all the same.

Cons: Had to install windows twice for some reason. Can't remember why but I think it was motherboard related. Wasn't a big enough deal to remember though.

Other Thoughts: Would definitely buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsYes!

Pros: Many, many features. It was a breeze to build my first microATX build with this motherboard. I highly recommend it. BIOS is simple but has many features, too. It looks nice in the case.

Cons: Only six holes for the standoffs. This made plugging in the power connector kind of concerning because the board was flexing.

Other Thoughts: Solid choice for a micro ATX build. I really like this motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsNo Complaints!

Pros: On-board digital audio, good reliability, good chipset features, good BIOS.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Bought this board with the H series chipset for basic home-theater PC use. I like that it has onboard optical, saving me from using a sound card. BIOS has lots of features. I like being able to turn off the LEDs once it's booted, makes movies nice to not have bright lights, while still letting me know it has booted correctly.

Compact board allows for smaller cases - good for HTPCs!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks better than expected

Pros: uATX with 4 DIMM slots which support ECC (multiple sources state otherwise). 6 SATA3 ports. First graphics card slot runs at x16 regardless of having a second card in the x4 slot. 5 fan headers. Board has RAID support which is a big plus for my use. Very stable. UFEI BIOS is much smoother and has a much cleaner look than previous generations (ex. Z77, H87)

Cons: Board only has 6 mounting holes with an inch or so of overhang. It does have 2 holes one at each corner to insert plastic motherboard bumpers which aren't included. Board is rather flexible compared to others like it. 3-pin fans can't be controlled on 4-pin fan headers like many other motherboard brands.

Other Thoughts: Bought this board for use as a cheap workstation PC. So far works flawlessly and fast. ASRock tuning program is much cleaner that previous versions, yet contains more features for better control.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat MB with very easy setup

Pros: Very tidy layout with lots of fan, usb, and other connectors. More than most high end ATX size motherboards of the past. Easy overclock settings, and bios updates (not needed as of this date) are trivial. Bios is very graphical and easily understood.
Quality caps...
This microATX motherboard packs a LOT of features (4 Ram slots for instance).
Great price!
Boot up with ssd is amazing Win7..

Cons: Sata connectors are on side of board and are a little awkward in my mid tower antec sonata. That is not much of a con.

Other Thoughts: This appears to be very similar to the H97 Pro 4 but is microATX vs ATX, and has 1 PCIe 2.0X16 vs 3 slower PCIe 2.0X1 slots, so if those extra slots are not needed this allows a smaller case, it supports AMD crossfireX only if crossfire is desired.
First MB in a long time I am not overclocking, so cannot comment on stability, but should work well, given components.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Motherboard

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to setup and configure, stable

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: I used an ASRock H77M motherboard for an HTPC I'd built last year and it has run flawlessly for over a year in 24x7 operation. Thus, I decided to use the H97M Pro4 for my new desktop PC, which would also serve as a backup HTPC in case that one fails. My new desktop configuration is:
ASRock H97M Pro4 LGA 1150 Intel H97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s Micro-ATX Motherboard
Intel Core i5-4460 Haswell 3.2GHz LGA 1150 Desktop Processor HD Graphics 4600 BX80646I54460
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model F3-2400C11D-8GXM
Samsung 840 EVO MZ-7TE120BW 2.5" 120GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive
LG Black Blu-ray Drive SATA Model UH12NS30
In Win BL040 SFF mATX Slim Case With Haswell Ready 300w Power Supply
2 Acer H6 H276HLbmid Black 27" Widescreen LED Backlight Monitors

Everything arrived from NewEgg on time and I assembled the parts without any problems. The few issues I had were resolved by changing the following BIOS settings:
1. I disabled the "Intel Smart Connect" so there would not be an unknown PCI device in the Device Manager.
2. I disabled "Intel Rapid Start" as it was unnecessary for me.

The new desktop PC is very fast, quiet and stable with Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit for the OS. I especially like the perfect support of the two monitors in extended desktop mode, one with DVI and one with HDMI.
