4 out of 5 eggsGreat board, but make sure you get the Intel drivers

Pros: Works as expected, lots of nice features.

Cons: The ASRock provided drivers for the Intel video/hdaudio do not work with HDMI audio. You need to download the latest drivers from Intel directly to get that to work. Otherwise it shows up as "Not plugged in"

5 out of 5 eggsSo far it's been excellent

Pros: Z97 Chipset ITX board
Great build quality
Includes WiFi
Good amount of SATA ports for the size of board
Simple, frills-free packaging

Overall I got this as a board to overclock with. Currently I've only ran it with the following:

Corsair Obsidian 250D w/ CX600M PSU
ASRock Z97M-ITX/ac ITX Motherboard
Intel Core i5-4590 Haswell-R 3.3GHz-3.7GHz CPU on stock HSF
8GB Patriot DDR3-1866 DDR3-RAM Dual-Channel
2GB EVGA GeForce GTX 760
Raid0 OCZ Agility 3 SSD (2x120GB)
2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM HDD
Windows 7 Home Premium x64 bit

Cons: The I/O shield is plain jane. I hate to put it down for this but it's not my style - I prefer the matte "coated" I/O shields. This is one frill I like since I love to show off my case(s)

Another gripe is with the I/O shield and how the Wireless Antenna's attach - I had difficulties only owning one pair of pliers trying to properly secure the antenna's in place

Other Thoughts: Overall it is very much worth the money. If I had cared enough about the I/O shield to steer away from this board then I would've.

For what the board offers I would go out on a wimb and say for getting the Z97 chipset this may be the best bang for the buck.

I just ordered the Intel Pentium G3258 Anniversary Edition CPU today with the intentions of using the current i5-4590 on a seperate (EVGA Hadron) build in the future, and OC'ing the G3258 on this board.

Since this is a Z97 board in a form factor growing increasingly popular, I will gladly be posting Overclocking results when the chip arrives.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard for a Great Price

Pros: Price
Useful features
Great UEFI BIOS
Supports high speed memory at high voltages
Good overclocks

Cons: Color scheme, but once you have your stuff installed it's not very visible
PCB is not black like it appears in the picture, it is in fact dark brown
Only 2 fan headers, one CPU and one case fan, though both are 4-Pin, and was enough for my situation.

Other Thoughts: I bought this motherboard as part of a budget computer build made for light gaming and some audio production work. The case of choice was EVGA's Hadron Air. Paired with an i3-4150 and a GTX 750ti, along with Corsair Vengeance Pro memory and a Samsung 840 Evo SSD, the build came together nicely. ASRock has one of my favorite UEFI BIOS layouts; Everything is simple and organized, and it gives you the options you want and ones you didn't even know you needed, such as a dehumidifier option which allows the fans to spin up periodically to keep moisture out even when the computer is off.

So far I have found the board to be very stable. Setting the XMP profile for the Corsair memory was extremely easy and is now running at 2400MHz with a Cas9. I understand that the i3-4150 is not overclockable but with this board in particular, I am able to set a custom turbo frequency of 4.5GHz and the CPU runs at that frequency the entire time.

Overall if it wasn't for the dark brown PCB and the early 2000's looking blue color scheme, this would be the perfect motherboard. I have not tested out the onboard audio or the AC wifi capability but I'm positive I won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsnice

Pros: This board is solidly built and had all the features I needed: optical audio, z97, mITX. The EFI is much improved over my old z77 Extreme 4.

Cons: It only has one system fan header.

Other Thoughts: I paired this with a Corsair 250D, 4790K, and XFX 280X.

5 out of 5 eggsZ97M

Pros: First review nice! Well right to the good part. I used a Pentium G3258 unlocked CPU and pushed the board hard. I was able to get 4.8GHz 1.4v with a H50 cooler 75c. Not very stable though. 4.6Ghz 1.3v Stable with Prime for hours H50 62c. Love this chip and board. Boot time is insane. 13 seconds to desktop. Everything went perfect. From driver instillation to format and install from USB. All USB plugs work without drivers. 5 SATA ports. Non regrets with this board. AC wireless work perfect and even connected where out have failed. Good Job ASRock

Cons: Price is all. I have absolutely no complaints

Other Thoughts: This board paired with the G3258 is a great set up. Cool and quiet even under full load OCCT, Prime all did well. The layout is great and it looks good. Under full load overclocked to 4.2 this uses 60w from the wall. I have the Silverstone SFX PSU 300w
