3 out of 5 eggsNice motherboard beyond one fatal flaw

Pros: - Love being fan less - CPU and power supply
- Easy BIOS setup

Cons: - Either a hardware or Linux driver issue. The HDMI port passes interference via its audio. Connected to my AV receiver I can hear the drives spin up and other static. Only when using the AV receiver's pre-outs. Swap it for another PC and everything works.

Other Thoughts: Not sure if it's my motherboard or all of them. I'm guessing all but I might see if I can get a replacement to verify.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Streams Netflix and other various video sources fine on Windows.

Briefly tested 1080 and seemed to work great, though CPU usage seemed high. I run my TV at 720 because of the viewing distance and it works perfectly.

Comes with a power supply, which is awesome and saves a ton of money and space on a build like this.

My old laptop's ram worked well, and my old hard drive plugged right in, so this was the only cost for my new build!

I don't notice any problems with general web browsing or streaming at all.

Good ports available on this board.

No fans! That means fewer things that can break and get dusty. With my SSD, this is a 100% silent machine.

Even streaming video for hours, it never really gets hot, just a little warm.

Cons: Hard to install Windows 7. Needed to buy a PS2-USB converter. Luckily I had a PS2 capable mouse available (the mouse was USB still though).

The only reason I'm running Windows 7 is for WMC though.

Other Thoughts: I used the cardboard box it came in as a case!

5 out of 5 eggsAn good, silent, low-cost board.

Pros: So far, this board has done everything I've asked of it. It's great if you're using it in an embedded system: it runs cool, and is probably fine with completely fanless operation in a well-ventilated case.

It works great with Windows 10.

It even has HEVC decode support, at up to 1080p50/8bit.

Cons: The included power adapter can only power two SATA devices, and there are no traditional 4-pin power connectors.

The heatsink is a weird shape, so attaching a fan to it may be difficult.

Other Thoughts: An mSATA slot would have been nice.

You will need to either slipstream the USB drivers (ASrock provide a tool to do this) or use a PS/2 keyboard to install Windows 7.

5 out of 5 eggsHey, not bad!

Pros: * Inexpensive for a motherboard/PSU/CPU combo
* Surprisingly snappy
* DC power input
* Fanless, therefore totally silent
* Good port selection
* 1080p playback is smooth
* Quad core
* Runs Linux nicely, at least with a recent kernel

Cons: * May stutter a little on complex websites
* Can't think of anything else right now; will update review later

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my first computer build, a small computer intended for basic computery things - documents, browsing, videos, some light coding, and maybe some old games. It's perfectly fine for this. Matched it up with some old Super Talent RAM and it runs fine with Fedora 23 using kernel 4.2.0. 1080p playback is smooth, though it does cause 40% CPU load, so I'm not optimistic for 4k. Dunno about other Linux distros or Windows, and I have no plans on trying them out at this time. I'm sure it runs Windows OK. If you choose to run Linux, you probably want to make sure that your distro has a recent kernel version, since Braswell support is a fairly new thing.

5 out of 5 eggsgood board

Pros: Cheap-
Built in psu
Built in graphics
Quad core cpu
Lots of sata for a mini itx
This is a usb 3.0 motherboard

Cons: No cons

Other Thoughts: Should come with a power supply hole cover for the case

Also some molex and some more sata wires for the built in psu. What if you have a card reader sir fan controller that needs to be powered that is not sata power
