5 out of 5 eggsVery low power with Turion processor.

Pros: I combined this motherboard with
a Turion MT-37
and the iGoLogic Model iPMKIT-110 Mini-ITX DC-DC Power Board. With a low porfile CD-ROM Drive an a usb drive it idles at 33.3 watts. Running mprimes loaded power maxes out at 56.7 watts. I used the Watt's Up Pro to measure total power use at the power chord level.

Cons: Kind of expensive for a 754 mobo. Albatron now has a AM2 socket motherboard that has 2 SO-DIMM sockets for a maximum of 2GB of memory, so it is possible to put together a SFF dual core computer.

Other Thoughts: I'm building the case so that I can minimize wasted space. But still need to test power use under kernbench and with a 2.5" hard drive installed.

4 out of 5 eggsBIOS support of CPU's

Pros: Supports ITX form factor with the potential power of a desktop. Lots of I/O and dual video supports 2 monitors.

Cons: This info should be considered before purchasing this the K151PV-754. Support of Mobile Athlon 64 +3700 and +4000 CPU's do not operate in this board. Apparently the BIOS does not recognize these devices. I believe the Turion 64 does operate, although I have not tested it yet. I now have un-useable Athlon 64 +4000 and +3700 Mobile and a board that still doesn't work. Albatron's website is useless and there is no BIOS up-date available.

Other Thoughts: The concept of ITX format included low power operation with low wattage power supplies. The Athlon 64 lidded versions when used in this board require power supplies larger the the whole ITX computer.

5 out of 5 eggsBe Useful - Own it first, then review.

Pros: -Very fast BIOS to XP startup.
-Very good component layout.
-Super Small form factor.
-Supports Turion Mobile (25W!)
-Supports Cool 'n Quiet
-Supports Addonics SATA-CF adapter.
-Onboard nVidia with DVI suitable for gaming emulation and DVD playback. (Contra wahoO!)
-Plenty of USB ports.
-Screw onboard sound... PCI slot for X-Fi 7.1ch audio goodness!

Cons: -PRICE!
-Lacks SmartFan!?!??! O_o
-Stability of nVidia driver on CD is questionable (it was a sanity check to make sure stuff actually works)
-No HDTV output.
-Socket 754 CPU availability is in question...

Other Thoughts: This system is easy to build without the need for proprietary "non-desktop" hardware. The board is perfectly suitable for CarPC applications (glovebox!). It is currently being tested with a 1GB CF 66x card using a SATA adapter with 1GB RAM. Despite the slow write speed of this card, the read speed (nLited XP) is fast enough to rival the boot time of my WD Raptor system! Definitely well worth it!

5 out of 5 eggsI wish i had one

Pros: This is for cars and custom vehicles. As in cutomize your ride. Albatron has had this available for awhile. They are leaders in R and D. Market is low for these, because its made to go into travel trailers and the like.

Cons: None , probley wont be around long enough.

Other Thoughts: I hope they do make a new version when these are sold out.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Idea Albatron

Pros: Itx format with almost modern tech.

Cons: Why release a socket 754 board late into 2006?

Other Thoughts: Albatron had a great idea here. Problem is, 754 has been replaced by S1 and AM2. They would not have had to chance much at all to make this an AM2 board. And then CPU's would be easier to find, better performing and cheaper (IE win-win).
