5 out of 5 eggsGreat MB

Pros: Cheap, reliable, MiniITX. Perfect for MC and bluray playback. Must have for a slim case that isnt an eyesore. If you're gaming with a HTPC then you're dumb for trying.

Cons: can get slightly bogged down, but its usually a Win7/MC issue. My fault for not going with Linux

5 out of 5 eggsComputer noob

Pros: Its a thin board with low temp out. Streams net flix when its not in HD. (maybe my internet connection is slow). Has everything I need on it.

Cons: Nothing much to post.

Other Thoughts: I got this to use as a second computer in my office at home. My big desk top can make my room go up 10C when is running. Fast CPU and a big video card for gaming that blows fire out of the back,, lol. This is a great little low amp draw motherboard to just serf, watch netflix and play MP3s on.
I would also make sure that you are getting 12v out from your adapter and not 15.5 or 19v like some laptop adapters put out to charge them.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Super thin for an ITX board. There are 2 mini PCI-E slots on the bottom which is great for pentesting with dual wifi cards. It's as good as any other D525 performance wise.

Cons: Supply your own power adapter, well I purchased when newegg gave a free power adapter but normally it's a pain to find one.

Other Thoughts: I'd really like to see mobo manufactures like Giada to implement SDHC/microSDHC readers right on the I/O panel so I don't have to rig up a converter to the USB port pins on the board, lol. With flash media booting OSes becoming so popular I think it's a good idea for the mobo to incorporate the media. I love this super small board, Giada please keep up the awesome work!

4 out of 5 eggsGiada MI-ION2

Pros: Very small, very quiet, very fast. An unknown name to me so I considered it abit of a gamble. But it "just works". I'm using it as a front end in Linux for MythTV (minimyth 0.23.1.78b1).

Cons: The com port connector and bracket were missing. It took almost two weeks to get a reply from Giada Tech/Customer Support. But once I did get a reply, they were very quick and helpful.

The printed manual and the on-line (pdf) manual didn't agree. And neither was completely correct. But it's not too bad; you can noodle out the correct answers usually.

Other Thoughts: This mobo was _clearly_ designed for HTPC. For example, no keyboard or mouse ports; a SPDIF port but only a stereo jack; both a HDMI _and_ a DVI port.

So far it is doing that very well for me.

4 out of 5 eggsGood board for SFF build

Pros: Good balance of medium CPU and graphics capabilities for a very compact build. Low profile, with on board power for CPU fan and 2 SATA devices, You supply external 12V DC power. Rear panel has DVI and HDMI connectors.

Cons: Single CPU/GPU fan is quite noisy and must run constantly for adequate cooling. Only 2 USB ports on back panel, but mid-board USB connectors are provided for you to add more to front of case. Relatively expensive price/performance compared with Core i3 based mini-ITX boards or barebones.

Other Thoughts: Board and SSD fit easily into 8" x 8" x 2.5" perforated steel case (not from Newegg); whole thing weighs 3.5 lb. A Bytecc universal 100W AC/DC laptop/monitor adapter sold by Newegg worked well. Recognized and booted from OCZ Vertex 2 SSD, ran fine with no device manager faults.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product from an unknown

Pros: Super thin. Under 1 inch tall!
Gigabit LAN
ION Graphics w/512 VRAM
Hassle free wiring; Everything (SATA Power et al) plugs into the board!

Cons: Nerve wracking finding a power supply. The board takes a 12v DC in, and, unfortunately, Newegg doesn't really sell any of those. I had to go to a "Computer Nerds" website and buy a 12v 72w power brick, fairly cheap and fits. (The plug is a 2.5mm barrel plug, btw.)

Other Thoughts: I took a chance on this board, having never heard of Giada Tech before. Their products looked well made, despite a lack of information on their hardware online. This product was unreviewed when I made the purchase (Before this other reviewer who doesn't own it reviewed it) and I was hesitant, but I am so pleased with this board. It came in a great box with an easy to use driver disk, 38-page ALL ENGLISH instruction manual, and a decent warranty.

I would definitely buy a second one of these for a carputer build or another m-itx server.

5 out of 5 eggsi wish could afford it now

Pros: thin , and very powerful for what it is, built in power supply, thats really good.

Cons: i cant afford it now

Other Thoughts: i been looking to build my own mini itx case , made out of acrylic for some while now. This motherboard would be a good component for my version of the mac mini, but instead of running OSX, i would run Ubuntu to compete with the mac mini.

the case would be thiner than the mac mini

spec would be

Mobo: this great mobo
ram: cheap 4gb ram so dimm
ssd: 32gb patriot
psu: built in, but still have to buy an AC laptop adapter
