5 out of 5 eggsWork horse (although dated by 2016 standards)

Pros: Small, low power, low heat, internal USB, dual Gig LAN, IPMI, 64 bit, and supports up to 8GB memory.

Cons: Visualization is lack luster due to Atom's not having vt-d or vt-x.

Other Thoughts: Great board which has held up for ~4 years without missing a beat.
Currently running FreeNAS 9.x with VirtualBox installed, running an XP and 7 x32 VM without issue.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board! Will buy again!

Pros: Great board! Simple and easy to install in SuperMicro 1U case (N82E16811152131) I used G.SKILL memory (N82E16820231213) and runs great with it. Paired with a 2.5'' sata hdd. This dual-core Atom is surprisingly fast!

Cons: Documentation needs improvement. The box that it comes with doesn't not represent the actual item.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat pfSense board

Pros: This board worked right out of the box. The IPMI interface and terminal allowed me to mount an ISO on a network share as a virtual usb drive, so I didn't have to create any media.

Cons: The IMPI interface causes Java signed certificate errors, I pretty much had to disable all security in Java for it to run.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this with a supermicro enclosure (CSE-510-200B) but the fan power cables wouldn't reach across to the headers on the motherboard. Had to buy an extension (GELID Solutions CA-PWM) for it to work. After that, it worked great.

Also - I used GSKILL F3-10666CL9D-4GBSQ memory - no issues with it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Small SOHO sever that can accomplish a lot of roles....if you do not expect too much from a MB/CPU at around 225$. Recommended for firewall or small file/NAS server.

Cons: 4GB is not enough.....

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth the price

Pros: low power, because of Atom CPU

Cons: IPMI is flacky. It had kernel panic after upgrading the ubuntu distribution. I had to go back to older kernel version to work through. Not to mention LO activity on a new install. LO interface had so much activity.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat motherboard, better then getting bare bone system

Pros: great features, in particular full featured IPMI providing remote keyboard / video and full power control via a web browser.

Cons: don't forget to secure IPMI with a good password.

Other Thoughts: get this motherboard, together with a SUPERMICRO CSE-510-200B case, instead of the similar barebones. This motherboard is superior compared to the bare bone sold from super micro. But don't forget to get a Y cable as an extension and to connect both case fans. The cables that come with the case are too short.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a champ

Pros: As indicated by all other reviews, this thing just rocks. IPMI, Dual intel gig, 6 sata, runs cool.

Cons: With my setup the fan header locations were a problem. Between the rackmount chasis and the headers, my cables didn't reach. I was planning on using a Y cable for the two front fans, so with the y, it worked. Without it though, I would need extension cables for the fans to reach the header. This really isnt a con, since it's more of an issue with the case, but if they put the headers closer to the front, that would have been more useful to me.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat WHS mobo

Pros: -Silent
-IPMI
-Good Performance for what it does

I purchased this system for home NAS work, initially with unRaid, but then went with WHS 2011 with RAID.

Cons: None for me

Other Thoughts: I have two Intel atom boards also, one of which this one replaced. It is pricier, but worth the extra money.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat NAS mobo

Pros: This board makes for a great FREENAS build. Dual Gig LAN, and the onboard IPMI for server management is a plus. The internal USB is perfect for installing my micro USB with the embedded OS. 6 SATA provide for LOTS of storage capacity.

Cons: very minor point that the SATA ports are not well labeled on the board (very tight layout) but even the diagrams in the included documentation do not tell you which SATA port is 0 - 5.

Other Thoughts: More detailed documentation on the SATA port numbering, and the use of the DOM port would have been nice.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat little Atom MB

Pros: ITX board with IPMI remote KVM abilities (LOVE THIS).
Supports 8GB Ram (despite what website says).
6 SATA connectors (makes for a great NAS system with the Q25 from Lian-li)

Cons: IPMI would only work in view only mode (no keyboard). Re-flashed the IPMI bios (separate from MB bios) with the same (latest) version 2.55 and now it works. Took several painfull hours to figure this out (because thought, why flash to same version. Glad I tried that before RMA'ing it).
Atom - slow - but I kindof knew that going into an Atom board purchase.

Other Thoughts: Would have likely gotten 5 eggs if not for the IPMI issue.
