2 out of 5 eggslegacy PCI not working, BIOS unstable

Pros: ECC support; two on-board NICs

Cons: I cannot seem to get legacy PCI to work. I have a few Intel E1000 that work in another system, but on the X9SCA the BIOS does not see them and linux does not see them either. (I have used these cards with linux for years with no problems.) Tried all kernels 2.6.{32-39}. lspci shows no legacy PCI cards no matter what I plug in.

The installed BIOS version did not POST when I plugged in a PCI-express SATA controller. Upgrading to BIOS 0427 fixed this issue. I tried upgrading to BIOS 0630 but then the video card stopped working at BIOS time (the system booted into linux which then enabled the card, but there was no display before linux booted). I now downgraded to 0427.

Other Thoughts: Seems still buggy; I would wait another 6 months before buying this thing.
