Pros: Outstanding performance, running Plex with no issues streaming to mobile, home at the same time. I've managed about 6 connections at once with no slowdown (direct stream on at least 3 of em).

Cons: IKVM was wonky at first but you get use to it. The heat from this little 8 core beast is a bit more than I thought. Looking to put a small fan on it for peace of mind.

Pros: Very powerful yet low power consumption. Perfect for home use!

Cons: As mentioned previously, RAM is a bit tougher to find (ecc unbuffered sodimms), but thats really only a concern if you're trying to go above 32GB.

Other Thoughts: I'm running it as a FreeNAS server running multiple jails and I've yet to push this thing to its full capacity.

Pros: Reliable out of band management to monitor and control remotely via web as well as IPMI.

8 core CPU has VT-x support and spreads nicely across multiple VM's in ESXi 5.5

One additional fan mode found in the X10 series:

Heavy IO -- This mode is only available for X10 motherboards with dual cooling zone
designs. Select this mode to boost cooling capacity in the PCI-E add-on card area.

Cons: Does not have VTx-D, so you cannot dedicate any cards or devices to a VM.

Other Thoughts: I've got FreeNAS, PFSense, Fedora 12, and FreeBSD 10 all running happily together on this thing, and its been this way for months

Installation of ESXi worked perfectly, no issues encountered.

Despite not having VT-d, I see high transfer rates for hard rives.

Pros: Excellent performance as a low-power home media server. Got lucky and got a open-box deal here on Newegg.

Cons: I've had this board for about a year now with not a single complaint!

Pros: Ready for some decent server action. In my case I'm using it as a FreeNAS box with an M1015 in the pcie port. Plenty of power in a tiny package. 4 NICs, IPMI (with a dedicated port), and everything else you'd need to make a powerful server.

Cons: Requires ECC Unbuffered SODIMMS. Not really sure if this is a con but you should keep that in mind. While the board itself supports up to 64GB of RAM you will most likely be limited to 32GB. There is only one company that makes 16GB SODIMMS that work with this board and the price is so outrageous that it just doesn't make any fiscal sense.

Other Thoughts: Completely satisfied with this board. Well worth it if you want a fanless server that requires ECC and packs a punch without eating up a fortune in energy costs.

Pros: PPW on the Atom C2K series is second to none. This board/CPU are FANTASTIC for the following: Virtual NAS, Virtual SAN, Hypervisor, HTPC, Non-embedded embedded-like functionality in a tiny form factor. Seriously, this thing can be powered with a cellphone battery almost (not literally). If I could custom build a datacenter around this board, I would scale out the nose with these.

Cons: Single threaded operations will not do spectacularly here, so if your workload is coded as such, Go with a high clock, low core count Ivy Bridge or Haswell based CPU.

Other Thoughts: Great product so far. I've had 8 of these pups in use in my test lab for about 5 months now. I'm able to run north of 160 VMs in my configuration before things start getting super sluggish. Keep in mind these VMs are for Concept/Prep work, NOT Load-testing or HPC.

Pros: Low power, 8 cores, 32gb or ram, new atom processor

Other Thoughts: Got this in a small HTPC case with 32GB of ram and an ssd. Running ESXi for a home lab setup, runs a number of vms no sweat. I actually sized my hard drive too small and ran out of drive space before I run out of cpu/ram

Pros: Works exactly as expected.

Other Thoughts: I don't normally write reviews but I saw that there was only one review of this product and its low rating seemed unfair to me. So I'm writing this review to balance that out. This board is exactly as advertised.

Pros: Passively cooled, PCI-E x8 slot, extremely low power usage with low heat dissipation. Love the design of this board.

Cons: I wanted this to work so bad. I was looking forward to upgrading my old home NAS. FYI- This does not work with these hardware RAID cards Adaptec 5805 and Highpoiunt 3520. However the Highpoint 2720SGL will work which is a software RAID card. I wanted hardware RAID to to reduce CPU usage since this is an ATOM based processor.

Other Thoughts: Had a ticket opened with Supermicro and their solution to my problem was to buy a supermicro RAID card. I was told by support that because this is such a new product they have not done enough testing yet to see what works and what doesn't. According to SM their own AOC-USAS2LP-H8iR will work with the board which will set you back another 499.00 for the card. I already have 2 cards sitting in my office that work perfectly. One from Adaptec and the other from HighPoint why should I have to invest in another card. I don't care if they are only SATA II generation controllers with 8 drive I can get over 500MB Reads and Writes which is more that enough for streaming my content at home.
