Pros: HDMI and DisplyPort with wide range of CPU support including E3 Xeon

Cons: Use of mSATA makes fourth SATA3 interface unusable.

Other Thoughts: I had been eyeing this motherboard for several months. Carefully planning my new HTPC around it and buying each component as my budget permitted. I finally got everything together and my vision was destroyed today when I couldn't see all four of my Western Digital 6TB Red's. After extensive troubleshooting and reading the manual for the motherboard I finally figured out that if the mSATA slot is used, SATA interface "3" is disabled. Very poor design! The whole reason for this build was to run four 6TB drives in RAID5. Having my OS on a 32GB SSD. Now I have to find a PCIe SATA controller to that can either accommodate an mSATA drive or a 2.5" drive.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat firewall board

Pros: for a Supermicro board this is very inexpensive at $154 CAD.
2 good intel nics, Intel I217 & Intel I210
1 PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot , for more Intel nics
Mini ITX
Kingston 4GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 Laptop Memory Model KVR16S11S8/4 work great! and at a good price.

Cons: 2 x 204pin memory slots, could not use left over memory (240 pin dimms)

Other Thoughts: when used with an Antec ISK300-150 case, fast 64 GB SSD, 4 gig of ram, a G3258 cpu and an Intel Gigabit Network Adapter, you have the perfect home "Sophos" UTM.

5 out of 5 eggsGet the right Xeon CPU for graphics

Pros: It's a Supermicro ITX.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I'm a long-term Supermicro integrator, and wanted to counter the one review with accurate info.

This board supports the Intel Xeon E3-1200 series. More than half of those CPUs have on-chip P4600 or P4700 HD Graphics. The "P" stands for Pro, which is supported by Solidworks and other CAD software for hardware accelerated graphics modelling. While not nearly up to par with a Quadro board, it's fine for display graphics.

This is a great little MB made by a first rate MB manufacturer.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The layout of this board is very good, and it has good features.

Cons: Ok the description about the supported processors and on board graphics is confusing.
I bought this board with a xeon processor. The problem is that the board does not have on board graphics it depends on a processor that has graphics built into the processor.
So after assembling my computer I was getting 5 beeps at boot (that stands for cpu error) The error was that the xeon processor does not have onboard graphics builtin.

Other Thoughts: If you buy a i3,i5,i7 with builtin graphics you are good.

if you buy a xeon then you need to add a graphics card to the pci express_16 slot..
