5 out of 5 eggsExcellent for the price

Pros: Board is fast for the price. Has PCIe & AGP on it. Micro-atx & the mobile chip makes it good for smaller computers & low power systems

Cons: the onboard nic is not supported under FreeBSD 5.4, but didn't matter for me as I'm using a gigabit nic instead.

Other Thoughts: I swapped this out for an older motherboard, no issues with FreeBSD starting up and redetecting all the hardware. I'm not sure if the soundcard & video are supported well under BSD or Linux, as I'm just using it as a samba server, and use none of those features on it.

4 out of 5 eggsDon't get if you want to use Linux

Pros: It's inexpensive and comes with a nice set of features for the price. I bought it with the intentions of building a PVR based on MythTV for Linux.

Cons: This sucker has ZERO support in the Linux community. I've tried the latest versions of Ubuntu, Mandriva, Xandros, Linspire, and Suse and none of them can handle the SiS965L chipset on this board. I'm not a linux expert so I can't go out and find drivers, compile my own code, etc.
Anyway, Windows XP and Windows MCE have no trouble with it.

Other Thoughts: If you would to build a cheap little Windows box...this board is awesome. If you want to build any other kind of box...good luck!

3 out of 5 eggsgood for a cheap build.

Pros: hey, not for high detail gaming or anything, but if you want to build a decent workstation, and have the option to run some decent games on your old AGP card or want to do what I did, gave my dad some of my old system parts to build a great little computer thats great for him to surf the web and play some Sid Myers. oh, yeah and the processor is fast for such a cheap little combo.

Cons: 800 mhz FSB wont support Vista when it comes out. you'll need 1000 mhz.
one PCI-E slot.

Other Thoughts: people who think this is a 64 bit processor parent paying attention. you have the ability to upgrade the processor to a 64 bit, if you want. This is because the Board supports a 64 bit processor, if you want a 64 bit, you are still going to have to buy one. but if thats your goal, go for something a little better/newer: such as a board with an AM2 socket or something comperable. you shouldn't be buying this if you think you are going to build a monster PC.

1 out of 5 eggsDead on arrival... look for something else

Pros: This product could have been good for the price had it worked when I received it. This product could not boot. Get yourself a more expensive and quality board.

Cons: Dead on arrival, did not even have a chance..

Other Thoughts: Get yourself a more expensive and good quality board. It's not worth the headache you will endure to exchange and replace this one..

4 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Great board once setup. It helps to have both pci-e and agp. A good upgrade from an old PC, or a good starter.

Cons: Agpro slot only shows up as agp4x. Manual way to vague.

Other Thoughts: Pretty good all round board. some good and bad, but mostly good for the price. Strangely shows up as Athlon64 but with no 64bit?

5 out of 5 eggsworked great

Pros: Installed board with a 350 watt psu in my old rig and it purred like a kitten. installed an old gforce 3 agp card and it too runs like a champ.

Cons: manual needs to be clearer and more defined.

Other Thoughts: hope it lasts..... :)

4 out of 5 eggsInexpensive, but solid

Pros: Great value for the price. Very stable.

Cons: The onboard video is not meant for gaming or heavy-duty usage. Even web browsing or video watching can be sluggish, which should not happen on an XP2800. If buying this for anything other than a server or very low-end PC, consider adding an inexpensive video card.

Other Thoughts: Purchased three of these for use in building Internet kiosks. Even though the video is slow, they get the job done.

4 out of 5 eggsGood board/processor for the price

Pros: I opened this board and put it in my case right away. It already came with the processor adhesive applied and the cpu fan was secured to it, so that was a plus. Booted up no problem with a 250 gig sata hard drive, 1 gig of ram, and other things. Runs pretty cool and haven't had any major problems thus far.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsNeed More Power!!!

Pros: Cheap way to upgrade my old PC

Cons: Required a power supply upgrade before it would boot. My old power supply was a 300W had a 20 pin connector and did not have the auxiliary 4pin plug. Tried a 350W 20pin w/4pin aux and would not boot. Ended up with a 450W using a 24pin connector and the 4 pin aux plug and it finally booted.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Combo Deal

Pros: Build the budget system to my cousin for school. So far, system runs great with any complaint from my cousin. It's hard to build the system under my cousin's budget.

Cons: Onboard video is not good for gaming. I suggested my cousin to upgrade the video card in the future if he has money.

Other Thoughts: According this price, I should not have any complaint.
