4 out of 5 eggsDecent board

Pros: Does what it suppose to. Booted up with no problem, everything works – so far. Pentium D915, 1G, Radeon9600Pro, Windows XP Pro. Fox LiveUpdate driver and BIOS update utility is good idea.

Cons: BIOS is bare bone, no OC options, nada, zip, Mickey-mouse tweaking utility program. Latest BIOS is OLD, release date is 03/31/2006!!! The CPU temp sensor can’t be right, D915 idles at 20-21C and runs at 27-29C with stock Intel fan?

Other Thoughts: As a caution note, Foxconn website says that supports Pentium Ds up to 3.6GHz, but according to SIW max CPU speed is 3066MHz.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Economical replacement for hard to find 845G OEM micro ATX boards in some of the budget Compaq's and HP's. It upgrades the socket to LGA775 and has an AGP slot as well as onboard video, uses PC2100 - 3200 DDR RAM.

Cons: The driver CD included with this board leaves something to be desired - drivers are best installed one at a time rather than using the one click installation feature.

Other Thoughts: Smooth, slick installation until I tried to install the board drivers. It's a minor annoyance, but something Foxconn should have put a little more effort into developing. The total cost of this board and a Celeron D 3.33 Cedar Mill CPU is less than a used MS-6577 ver. 4.1 board for Compaq or HP. Excellent item - I'd buy it again.

4 out of 5 eggsUnimpressed but pleased

Pros: Great if you want to use your older hardware. Vista compatible. Ran Vista Ultimate pretty good with 2gb pc2700 memory- 3.0 PD 830-512mb ATI video. Well laid out board.

Cons: Overclocking utility sucks.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace my girlfriends fried hp mobo which is about was about years old. All the older hardware and pc2700 memory were compatible. Works great if you're just using Word! LOL

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Board w/AGP/DDR

Pros: This was a great budget board to upgrade my Dad's PC to a Pentium D and still use his AGP video card and DDR-400 memory. The Windows overclocking software looked cool, but why overclock a budget board? Everything fired upo after plugging it in and runs very stable. Comes with a 90-day version of Norton Internet Security 2006, which is nice. I have not seen others do this and starts my dad out on the right foot.

Cons: Only two DIMM sockets.

Other Thoughts: The Mini ATX can be used in standard ATX cases or some of the smaller cases available now. Nice and compact.

1 out of 5 eggsalmost perfect representation of what my dog leaves on the lawn

Pros: turned on the first time and recognized the Pentium D830.

Cons: after operating for approximately a minute and a half crashed. Would not post. Cleared bios, and viola it did post. Operated for approximately a minute and half. Crashed. Switched CPU out for a Celeron D, played the same song and dance.

Other Thoughts: I have assembled computers for years (mostly AMD) and until I ordered two intel 865 chipset motherboards had never been so dissappointed with a new motherboard. One DOA and then this one that would have served me better by not powering up to start with.
