5 out of 5 eggs4 years later

Pros: sturdy and reliable. i bought this about 4 years ago and im just now starting to get blue screens, im not even sure its the boards fault. im not an overclocker but it has adjustments in the program on the packaged disk. if i can find a newer model of this same board id try it from sheer satisfaction.

Cons: newest BIOS i could find was released in '09. board flexed somewhat when i mounted my core2quad 8400 (never caused any problems).

Other Thoughts: i imagine i could have prolonged its life by replacing my stock power supply after i installed a nVidia 9800 GTX+. over the years i noticed some slowdown on newer games. also, this could very well be the card failing on me.

5 out of 5 eggsPCI Slots Galore!

Pros: 5 PCI slots, socket 775, great manual, low price.

Cons: On-board sound needed a driver update to function

Other Thoughts: I needed a motherboard with at least 4 PCI slots so I wouldn't have to send some great legacy hardware to the landfill. I also had a nearly new 3Ghtz P4 socket 775 CPU to recycle. This was the only motherboard I could find that fit my needs. Now I am wondering how I will find another with so many PCI slots when needed.

I have had this almost a year. My computer runs great.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid board for the price

Pros: Quick install, great features for the price. Good documentation as well. My first Foxconn board and more than happy with it.

Cons: Had an issue with the audio not working with the included driver. went to realtek web site and installed the latest driver. problem solved.

Other Thoughts: Bought this as an upgrade. paired it with a celeron dual core E1500 2.2GHz CPU and an gigabyte Radeon 3850 graphics card with 512MB Ram. 2 gigs system Ram. used for moderate gaming, has been solid so far.

2 out of 5 eggsLatest BIOS missing key feature

Pros: We've been using this motherboard in many systems for over a year. Its a great board with nice expandibility.

Cons: Major problem for us, shipped with latest BIOS 812F1P06 which prevents you from setting the behavior of the board after power loss.
Release notes for BIOS version 812FP05 show: hidden "PWRON after PWR-Fail"
This is a major problem for us now since we install these in unattended environments and they must come back online after a power failure. Now we have to flash the BIOS back to an older version.

5 out of 5 eggsPC-DVR

Pros: Bought this as it has 5 PCI slots. I have 4 Swann PC DVR cards in it. It runs 24/7 recording 12-16 cameras. I live in the hood and depend on this system. It is in a case with 4 fans and it is on a APC UPS. So it is getting good power and plenty of air flow. I dont use this for anything but the PC DVR.

Cons: Had problems with the on board audio working with the Swann video cards, put in an old Sound Blaster and the audio now works fine.
