3 out of 5 eggsDecent board

Pros: Pretty fast. Decent onboard graphics. DVI, HDMI, 5.1 audio are all pluses. BIOS is above average, many options including in-depth OC.

Cons: Seems to get very hot, despite a wealth of cooling in my box. I have 2 120's running (with no discrete video card and a cool Sempron 140 w/Arctic Silver) yet still can't get mobo temp readings under 40c consistently. Support is horrible, Foxconn's site almost never works and the drivers are old. Honestly, avoid Foxconn if you can.

Other Thoughts: Running a home server box, this board + AMD Sempron 140 + 1 640 GB WD Caviar Black, 1 640 GB WD Green, Rosewill case, 2 120mm fans, Antec 380W PSU.

1 out of 5 eggsShort life span

Pros: Ran well for 5 months

Cons: Started acting up after five months. Ran for four more weeks and died. No video. CMOS jumpoer does nothing. No POST.

Other Thoughts: This should have been a better board than the cheaper M61PMV. I have used M61PMV's for a couple of years with no failure. A7GM-S one board and a six month short life. This sucks.

1 out of 5 eggsFail

Pros: Worked Great when it was working.

Cons: Dead after 6 months. Started rebooting during gaming only. I thought maybe my it was my VC. But i removed it and tried another and removed the processor added new thermal paste. when the system would reboot all the lights on the PC would come on but no bios. I would have to wait for hour or so then pull the power from the psu and then boot it. I just stopped gaming because it was such a hassle and I have more important things I need the PC for. It lasted for about a month after and now fans come on but no beeps no monitors nothing dead.

Other Thoughts: First MB I have ever had fail on me and my first and last foxconn period

1 out of 5 eggsCAUGHT ON FIRE!

Pros: Worked for about 6 Months.

Cons: Used for a HTPC setup. After 6 months it would no longer boot up. Replaced power supply with a known good one, and a flame shot up off of a component near the Southbridge! I quickly put it out and watched the glowing ember of what was once an obviously failing component.

Other Thoughts: I was lucky that I was able to see it, rather than have this happen while my wife or child were at home. The concerns about consumer safety abound since this has never happened to me in all of my years of computer building. I cannot recommend a company that does not honor a warranty resulting from this type of incident.

2 out of 5 eggs2nd Board

Pros: Lots of features for the money, Worked fine for 12 months.
(actually A7GM-S earlier version)

Cons: 1 year almost to the day it got twitchy, Audio messing up, post failure, losing Bios info.
Foxconn support is awful.
3 year warrenty? I'm still working on that two weeks after getting frustrated with support and putting a new Motherboard in.

Other Thoughts: I wish I'd gone ahead and bought a new board from a major Manufacturer instead of ver 2.0, I had to reregiser Win7 and Nortons anyway, and with Foxxconn's inept customer non support, I don't think these cats will be around much longer.

1 out of 5 eggsLasted 2 Months and now dead

Pros: It worked well until it died.

Cons: It died, trying to contact Foxconn tech support, not having good luck. Since Windows 7 is tied to this motherboard, I have to get another.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy. Buy something that actually will last longer then 2 months

Realtek is fantastic. I always trust them.

Cons: Everything wasn't pre-plugged in :P.
