5 out of 5 eggsFoxconn A76M

Pros: Cheap, compact

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I used this to build a computer for my dad, along with an AMD Athlon X2 Regor 250 (3 Ghz) and found this MD/CPU combo to run very cool. Works fine with Windows 7 Ultimate 64. installs sound driver the first time you do Windows updates. Great board for the price. will be getting another for my neice and nephew as soon as I can part with the money.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect replacement

Pros: Has literally all connectors needed for slightly aging office application

Cons: I can't find any!

Other Thoughts: Needed a replacement board for a "Dead ASUS" mb and didn't want to do a complete system install. Added more modern memory and the Win7 HD fired up without hesitation.

Great choice!

4 out of 5 eggsRock Soild

Pros: 8gb memory support, able to use AM3 cpus.

Cons: First time using Foxconn as a motherboard. was good for about 5 hrs of running then it rebooted and would not post. sent in for an RMA and needed a new board asap so i bought a new one. This one has been running for about 10 hrs now and no probs. Took off an egg for the first motherboard. hoping to have this one for a long time.

Other Thoughts: If you have a big Video card like i do (BFG 250 GTS) watch out as this vid card blocks 2 of the sata ports. Other then that it just works. Cant say much on the overclock stuff as i'm not one for that.

5 out of 5 eggsA Great mobo

Pros: Works
Overclocking feature is nice.
Supports a ton of RAM totaling 8GB which isn't stated in the description.
A GREAT MOBO IF YOUR A GAMER LOOKING FOR A CHEAPER BUILD. Allowing more money to go to purchasing a good video card instead of the mobo.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: I easily overclocked the system to 2.9Ghz. I'm using an AMD Athlon X2 CPU that is when in default state 2.3GHZ. I could have gone past 3Ghz easily I think had I the proper cooling.

4 out of 5 eggsA few OS issues.

Pros: Newegg rates this board for 4GB of RAM over 2 DiMMs.
Foxconn rates this board for 8GB of RAM over 2 DiMMs.
Yay, a 100% increase!

The HD 3000 graphics are 128Mb by default.
In bios you can choose between 64Mb, 128Mb, and 256Mb.
Yay, a 100% increase!

It has several bios options to underclock your system, if you wanted to.

Cons: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 works, so long as you work with it.

The overclocking software is not compatible with Win 7 Ult 64, and I have not been able to find a version of it that works.

I never did find audio drivers that said they would run this model, but I found similar model drivers that ran it alright.

In fact, the disc that comes with the board will only let you install drivers that are compatible with your OS. In fact they are not even displayed at all. My disc pops up with a menu that only allows me to install adobe reader. No DirectX or anything. Thus Win 7 Ult 64 users will be fishing around for all drivers including Catalyst.

Other Thoughts: The 1066 RAM is limited to AM3.
Aero rating: 4.0
Graphics rating: 5.2

It runs the game Rift at ~25fps on low on a quad core, thus World Of Warcraft would run perfectly. The GMA 4500 found in most laptops today runs RiFT at ~6fps on a dual core.

I paired this with a 15$ Rosswill mini-n UsB adapter.
It gets good G reception, is barely visible in a back UsB port, and adds wifi to improve an already great board.

4 out of 5 eggsbought 2!

Pros: my old agp card finally died.. decided to buy an ati 6870 but had to upgrade to pci-e.. easily swapped my mem/hd/cpu over booted right up! Runs much faster than my old board.. was shocked how much life I still had in my old 5600+ (especially with the 6870) runs all games on max settings. Liked it so much.. did the exact same thing to my kids pc.. he's a happy gamer again.

Cons: my ati 6870 covers 2 of the sata ports.. but didn't need them anyway..

Other Thoughts: hooked up my old monitor as a second display with the internal graphics card with surroundview.. had issues using the 2 displays on the same graphics cards because they had different resolutions.. this was the perfect solution.. on-board vid works fine for surfing

4 out of 5 eggsNot to Bad

Pros: Supports AM3 processors, but has DDR2 so I can use so my ram from my old ECS motherboard with AMD Phenom 9600BE CPU that died.
Cheap
Has enough USBs
Stable

Cons: No HDMI

To get the 5.1 from the inferior onboard sound you have turn the line-in and mic ports to speaker ports (inferior to my creative soundcard from the year "2001").

DOESN'T HOLD MY MEMORY TIMINGS! I manually set the voltages to 2.2V like it shows on the memory stick (2.2-2.3). It will stick to the 1066mhz, but it won't use my "manually set" timings. What I do to bypass this is use my AMD Overdrive in windows 7 and change the timings from there. No problems yet doing that.

Other Thoughts: Despite these annoyances it still isn't a bad motherboard for the price.
Although it really does hurt to see that the memory timings won't stick when setting it up in the bios.

I've had blue screens on this set-up, but I diagnosed it to be my aging 512mb asus radeon 4850 with a terrible stock heatsink.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap

Pros: Not a bad price for the features it has. Its a good price.

Cons: No matter what OS i install, after trying to do windows updates i get BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH.

Other Thoughts: Customer support was very helpful. RMAed it for a new board, we will see how the new goes. If its bad am never going to get another Foxcon motherboard thats for sure.

Manufacturer Response:

if possible, please check memory or change another memory to have a test .
