4 out of 5 eggsGood board for the price

Pros: Very stable with good features for the price. Runs my quad core AMD proc well.

Cons: The software used to regulate the fans is glitchy. On startup, the CPU cooling fan is always on full. Have to go in and set it to automatic every time....even though it is supposed to remember this setting.

1 out of 5 eggs50 / 50

Pros: 1 out of 2 motherboards work. First motherboard worked fine.

Cons: Second board was having loud beeps and never booted up on first 2 boot tries. 3rd boot try didn't even post. Does not boot. Tried lower cpu, tried different power. Tried different 3v battery, tried everything. Tried to RMA at Foxconn website http://www.foxconnsupport.com/rma.aspx
and site doesn't not even work. Hmmmm.

Other Thoughts: Second and last time buying Foxconn.

5 out of 5 eggsworks well

Pros: I needed a low-end board to use with an AM2 cpu. I have several Foxconn boards and have not had a problem with any of them.

Cons: too small to be used as a coffee table.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap and great.

Pros: I used this mobo to replace my old dead stock HP motherboard, that had bad capacitors. I was surprised by how small it actually was, It was cheap and works fully, worked first try no problems. Got it for $35 so this was well worth my purchase.

Cons: None really, it has some old legacy port on it that I will never use but besides that nothing.

3 out of 5 eggsWell-rounded

Pros: allows me to use my ddr2 ram. supports am3 cpu's as well as am2 and am2+
reliable, and great bios

Cons: not great for overclocking, a weak vrm and no mosfet heatsinks, only a 2+1 phase. no support for six-core cpu's, no ddr3 support, only 2 ram slots, only 2 fan power ports, 2.1 sound output, weak onboard video (as expected), 2nd and 3rd sata ports do not support default booting

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsWhoa.....that's slow.

Pros: Slow.... though it works. hyper transport up to 2000 MT/s is slow when you're use to 4000 stock and about 4800-5200 on an overclock. DDR2 ram still gets at least 7.1 wei. Still to slow, like walking up hill in sand. I love foxconn am3 boards though! I have used and own several of them!

Cons: For this price spend an extra 5-10 bucks and get an AM3 board that uses ddr3 and a cheap regor cpu. Regor mem clocks run at only 1066, but get 1333 if you want to overclock. Plus ddr3 is cheaper.

Other Thoughts: Had parts lying around and thought I'd throw them together and make a study rig. Maybe I'll break it down and scrap it when I'm done using it for training purposes.

am2 5000 brisbane, 512kbsx2 L2 and oc'd at 2.8
A first edition radeon 3870, 512mb's mem....7.0 wei
4 gigs of ocz reaper 1066....7.1 wei
Win7 pro 64bit

This build really isn't worth it to me, I have other builds with am3 cpu's and there is a very big difference. Very big! I put this together to help with server 2008r2 training on the client side. Other then that, this is very old tech.

5 out of 5 eggsBEST Mid-level board around for money

Pros: Owned it for one month now. Stressed it with an AM3 130 Sempron and an AM2 Athlon X2 'Dual Core. Encoded 20+ HD Videos, ran for 7 days straight, 4 GB RAM, HD4650 Card installed. No problems. Hands down, the most supportive, easy to use Mobo I've owned. Better then MSI. No Asus though, but still if you grab it on sale for under $40, BUY IT.

Cons: ONLY SUPPORTS AM3 UP TO 95W. DDR2 RAM. Need a PSU with long cables to connect 4 Pin CPU Power.

Other Thoughts: BUY IT

5 out of 5 eggsHassle Free

Pros: I must admit, this is probably the most hassle free Mobo I've owned in awhile. I took an AM3 Cpu right out and plopped in an AM2 X2 Dual Core without any trouble.

Cons: Only 4 Sata connectors. All kind of scrunched together.

Other Thoughts: Probably the best low budget board out there. Be aware. Am3 ONLY up to 95w. and DDR2 only. Not DDR3.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's old, but I needed it

Pros: I had an ole 5000 brisbane sitting in a drawer and some old ddr2 800 2x2 gig sticks taking up room so I bought this. You can tell the difference when it comes to the 1000 hyper transport speed(2000 MT/s), vs the 2600(5200mts) on the newer boards. It's not a loss though. I need this rig for my studies so it does very well for my needs.

Cons: Should be 39 or less.

Other Thoughts: May get a 62 dollar athlon 250 just for giggles and see what the difference may be, but being limited in hyper transport speed arena will probably no net much. I have an old 9500 quad laying around, most likely try that and do some virtual stuff with it. Fox one program that comes with it is a life saver, it lets you control cpu fan speed, and I have a vacum on it so it helps me alot. It also will auto overclock til it crashes and then after reboot will ask you to set it at a known working over clock. Cute, but I don't like the part about crashing. Brisbanes don't overclock well anyway. NOT an overclocking board, get something else. This is a good rig for cheap with parts lying around board. Old parts lying around. Still capable

This board
amd 5000 brisbane 2.6 wei 6.7
