4 out of 5 eggsgood and cheap

Pros: really good and cheap mobo. i have it almost 4 years(4years in 3 months) and didn't have any problem at all.
6 SATA II slots

Cons: 2 ram-slots

Other Thoughts: generally it's a good mobo! the bigest problem(for me) is that it only has 2 dimm-slots and only supports 8gb of ram so it's limited in updating.

2 out of 5 eggsJunk!!!

Pros: Easy installation. Worked very well for 7 months and then just died.

Cons: Bought this the end of November 2011. Died the end of June 2012, I contacted Foxconn by email initially. Got a reply from China telling me to call a number in California. Called and left 6 messages without a callback. Finally on the 7th call got a live person who worked in sales. He took my phone number and email address and said someone would call with info on getting a replacement. I'm STILL waiting. TERRIBLE customer service. I could buy another cheap board but why waste money when they guarantee their product.

Other Thoughts: they seem to make products that fail after a short time and I get the impression they just ignore their customers regarding service and warranty needs

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valuable customer,

We apologize for the inconvenience & delay. According to our support rep, your call was return the same day (July 3 around 2:55pm).

Best regards,
Foxconn support team.

5 out of 5 eggsSometimes things just happen!

Pros: Very nice audio, and all the USB I need! This was a replacement for a Gateway FX 6831 desktop, and all the connectors were exactly as my dead board. Works perfect with almost any RAM and has a GREAT software utility for fan control! Rock solid for the price!

Cons: Poor documentation in the box. No manual, but it IS on the disc? Let's hoping you don't need it until AFTER you get it running.

Other Thoughts: The first one shipped from Newegg was DOA. I didn't hold that against them OR Foxconn as I have ordered SO mauch stuff over the years from bothe companies, and rarely have had an issue. Hey, sometimes things are just bad out of the box. As for the others who complain about the lack of serial ports or PATA support, all I can say is you KNEW this when you bought the board. If you didn't, then do your research. Pay a little more and get what you want.

1 out of 5 eggsCan't contact Foxconn

Pros: Cheap. I wanted a motherboard with the H55 chipset, and this was the cheapest.

It looks nice.

Cons: I wanted to ask Foxconn a question, because I get the impression one of the back panel connectors is sticking out too far at the back, so the back panel won't fit.

In reviews of another Foxconn motherboard on Newegg, Foxconn replied to a one star review by asking people to contact them directly at http://www.foxconnsupport.com/inquiry.aspx for any other issue in the future. But I haven't been able to connect to that URL.

Other Thoughts: I'm trying to install the motherboard now, but don't want to try to force it to fit, because I might break it, or break something on it. And I don't want to install it without the back panel, because that provides strain relief and grounding for the connectors. So I will probably send it back and order another brand.

4 out of 5 eggsLots of bells and whistles

Pros: DVI onboard video, HD sound, lots of USB ports, nice small mATX.

Cons: No fire wire port, no IDE, socket lever requires some force.

Other Thoughts: The socket lever is kinda stiff, so a bit of force is needed to secure the socket. I didn't pull it hard, but I was afraid something might break. That's just a design flaw...or perhaps it's the way it should be.

5 out of 5 eggsG-Bless Legacy

Pros: Good feature set.
Solid Caps in VRM area
**PS2 ports
***Parallel port

Cons: No Serial port
*** No PATA for legacy peripherals

Other Thoughts: Here's hoping the M/B manufacturers are listening.
Business still needs Legacy support.

1 out of 5 eggsGrrrrr! No thanks Foxconn, but thank you Newegg!

Pros: HELLO, fellow Newegg shoppers! The motherboard worked fine before I went to install the mobo drivers....... now read "Cons".

Cons: I bought this because it was cheap and it worked fine, that is, before I went to install the drivers. There are 4 drivers total, and they all installed, rebooted and everything worked fine until a couple hours later. My internet stopped working, I looked at my modem and the Ethernet light was off, so I checked the cables and it was plugged in. I then popped in the cd that came with the motherboard and saw only 3 drivers were showing, not 4. I rebooted my computer and launched the cd again, and this time the motherboard software showed all 4 drivers, so I installed the LAN driver again, then rebooted.... worked fine for a few hours, then it happened again.......... Once again I rebooted my computer and launched the mobo cd, but now it's only showing 3 drivers, and no matter how many times I rebooted the computer, the LAN driver wouldn't be recongized. I tried for days, never worked. Please don't waste your money, you'll regret it, trust me.

Other Thoughts: I will never buy a product from foxconn again. Their motherboard driver works, when it wants to, then it will never work again........ No thanks foxconn.... BUT......... THANK YOU NEWEGG!!!!!!!! I am very satisfied with newegg!!!!! I couldn't want anything more from a online computer store. Thanks again Newegg!

3 out of 5 eggsCheck CPU if using integrated graphics

Pros: In expensive for LGA1156 board. Micro ATX form and still has legacy ports.

Cons: Although compatible with LGA1156 CPUs, the MBs integrated graphics only works if the cpu comes with an integrated gpu. I am using a core i5-750 which doesn't, as does no Lynnfield Core. So be careful if you plan to use the integrated graphics and want a cheap quad core processor

Other Thoughts: As always, hats off to newegg for the excellent service. It would have been nice for this to be in the specs or description though.
