4 out of 5 eggsWhy is this not in stock?

Pros: Why is this not in stock anymore? It's sad that Newegg stopped carrying these, they bad at all for 75$. I have had this board for 4-6 months and I have gone through 3 case changes, a RAM change, a 4.0ghz overclock on my 955BE, and I just got my new 660Ti and the board is still goin good. If anyone happens to ever see this, although I'm sure nobody ever will, get this board if your looking for a good budget board. It does it's job, just beware, no SLI support, only X-fire.

Cons: Nothing really, once you update the BIOS this mobo is a good medium-high end mobo (NOT high end, but medium high).

5 out of 5 eggsFoxconn A9Da-S

Pros: Purchased for a new build for my wife, along with an AMD II X3 450. 4GB G Skill 1600 DDR3. After a call to Foxconn everything went well. Their support was fantastic and quick.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The problem was my wife's HP Monitor, not the MB. Rick at Foxconn was great to deal with and actually made a follow up call to see how everything was working. That's service above the call. And New Egg is always great.

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate from old review

Pros: Well after the BIOS update, the board works beautifully and does what it suppose to, I even have a nice 3.6ghz OC on my 955 BE. I would reccomend this board for budget builds but they don't have it in stock so, I cannot. Thank you for the help whoever posted the manufacturer response on my last review. And I apologize for the little rant.

Cons: Nothing really. I wish I could adjust my cpu fan speed from within the BIOS but that's what FOX ONE is for.

3 out of 5 eggsits ok?

Pros: There are alot of motherboards out there with all the bells and flashy things.. This motherboard is great for a first build

Cons: The cons well foxconn needs to revamp some of this programing and the bois... I cannot over clock and its not good for gaming or online gaming does lag a little.

Other Thoughts: This is an ok motherboard if your just gonna build a computer thats just for shurffin the net and light gaming but nothing heavy.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsCannot overclock

Pros: Not really anything.

Cons: I cannot overclock my 955 Black Edition whatsoever. If I move the multiplier even .5, it will not boot and I have to reset the BIOS. That is a major, major con for me, I wish I could send it back and get a refund but sadly it's been just over 30 days since I have bought it, and I can't return it. So now I'm stuck with this stock everything I can't even overclock, even though it specifically says in the description of this item it's Overclock ready. So yea, avoid this board and spend the extra 15-25$ for a better board that can at least OC.

Oh also, you can't update the BIOS unless your running on 32 bit OS. Who runs 32 bit OS now...?

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valuable customer,

First of all, we do apologize for the inconvenience. If you need to update the BIOS within Win7, please use the FoxLiveupdate utility (local BIOS update) that was included with the motherboard CD. Please don’t run the FLASH.BAT within Win7 DOS Prompt. This is not the correct way to flash the BIOS. To flash BIOS, please refer to the below instructions:

1. You need to flash it from a bootable USB flash drive. If you don't have a bootable flash drive, please refer to the link below for instructions to create one.
http://www.lowfps.com/creating-a-bootable-usb-thumb-drive

2. Please download P07 BIOS & then unzip it first and copy all files to the bootable USB flash drive.
3. Then boot the unit from this bootable USB flash drive to a DOS prompt. Once at the DOS prompt, then type FLASH (press Enter key) to flash.

As for overclocking, we were able to adjust it from 3.2 GHz to 3.7 GHz just to show that it can be done. System was able to boot to Win7 fine. See attached image. But the BIOS revision on our setup is P07.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good for the buck

Pros: On board 1394 x2, Pretty much what sold me, Built on VGA, DVI even HDMI another plus for what I am using it for. Plenty of USB Ports.

Cons: If I was to say anything was bad it would be the SATA ports but they are very livable.

Other Thoughts: The DVI and VGA can be used for dual monitors and are not mirrored and that was a big plus for me, I use this to run a DJ/Karaoke rig and the VGA displays lyrics and allows me to have a nice compact system. Drives for XP and 7 another plus. Ran my triple core with no issues. Everything installed with ease. I can not comment on audio as I am not using on board audio I am using a saffire pro 40. I see people complain can't over clock or can't do this. The way things rapidly change in the PC market its hard for companies to keep up, Also its an 80$ board they are not going to give you everything.

1 out of 5 eggsMaybe bad luck?

Pros: appears to have good build quality, lots of nice features

Cons: board was DOA... made a rattle sound right out of the package :(

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valuable customer,

First of all, we do apologize for the inconvenience. We found that the Clear CMOS jumper in the User Manual is not correct. So if you were to follow the jumper settings in the original User Manual then it will not post. Please refer to attach image for the correct Clear CMOS jumper position.

Also if you are using an AMD Phenom 6 cores processor, we can mail out a replacement BIOS chip for you. It does not post with older BIOS revision. This board also come with the debug codes on the motherboard. So please contact our support team via link below or call 909-978-6556. If all of our support reps are currently on the phone or if you are calling after business hours please leave us a message with your contact info so we can call you right back. 5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board!

Pros: Great boad for a budget build, supports Crossfire, good looking board (black and yellow), nice layout (except SATA ports, will mention in cons), power switch on the board, cool LED on the board.

Cons: The only con I have is with the SATA ports, as they are mounted facing out vice off the board. I know that sounds wierd, but once you see it you'll understand. I recommend putting your SATA cables on the board before you screw the board to your case.

Other Thoughts: I was looking for the most bang for my buck, and Foxconn delivered. I'm not gonna take an egg off for the SATA location, as it works fine and isn't that big of a deal. You'll see some old reviews of this board that says it won't support six cores without a BIOS update, but that was not the case for me. Plugged in my 1090T and off I went. I'm extremely happy with my purchase, and getting it next day from Newegg just made it better.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome for my first build!

Pros: Amazing, especially for the price. Has power button on the motherboard which is great and makes it easy to troubleshoot certain problems. Looks very cool also.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Has a two digit number on the motherboard. With me being a newbie. I'm not sure of what its doing. I asked around and no one had any idea. The number is at 23, Anyone know?

5 out of 5 eggsFoxconn= #winning

Pros: Was looking around for a mobo that could do crossfire 8x by 8x at the least. This is the cheapest board to do so, though it isn't cheap by any means. If you want to do crossfire this should be the first start for newcomers and even experienced builders. The chipset 890gx supports up to 1600 memory so that is fine unless you plan on doing 2000+ for extreme builds. It also has Sata 6gb/s and I have maxed out the bandwidth so I know it is working. Looks awesome. The yellow threw me off at first but it ended up looking a lot better once I got it. Handles up to 140 TDP for your cpu so pretty much anyone you choose except the pooper scooper, aka bulldozer. Also, it has a nice on/off switch on the motherboard for testing without or before you put it in the case.

Cons: The only con I have is that the bios didn't recognize my phenom II x4 960T. An amazing guy named Rick with their tech team promptly emailed me a bios to flash and he also gave me some more indepth specs. Also it doesn't have usb 3.0 but it doesn't bother me because I don't have an external drive and use ssd's. I could care less how much bandwidth my mouse and keyboard use.

Other Thoughts: It has an 8 pin input for the cpu and my cord with 8 pins couldn't reach it but my 4 pin works for now until I mod my case. The customer service was great. I called and he said he would email and call me back and I thought it would be a week or so like it was with gigabyte and ASUS but he emailed me immediately and called me within 15 minutes. Amazing support. The only other thing about this board is the sata ports are perpendicular. I guess its for the long gpu's but I found it difficult to get the wires to go where they needed to be with that. I wish companies would just put the darn things like 2 inches higher to alleviate this problem. Lastly it has countdown timer on it to show you the progress of the board starting up and it will flash an error code like E7 if there is a problem which you then can look in your manual to see what is wrong. First time I have had that delicacy. I used to have to take everything out and add it piece by piece.
