1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: No pros to see since computer's not running.

Cons: no manual shipped with mobo.
false advertising ("yea, sure, we support Ivy Bridge CPUs too! (you just wont realize you need to use a Sandy Bridge cpu to update it to USE the Ivy Bridge CPU, sucker!)")
having to wait who knows how long for them to ship me a replacement chip after requesting one

Other Thoughts: Navigating their support site is horrendous. I know next time to avoid buying for value, and buy for quality.

1 out of 5 eggsPCI max power output 10W

Pros: cheap cost.

Cons: We have bought this motherboard because it was the only one with many PCI slot. But, we weren't able to use it because the maximum output power for all the 6 PCI slot is 10W. We have contacted Foxconn to be sure, and that's the final answer we got. When we start the computer sometimes the PCI cards are seen by the device manager, and sometimes not.

It's really frustrating to see that the only motherboard with that much slot isn't able to do the work.

Other Thoughts: foxconn support team was good

5 out of 5 eggsLPT Port

Pros: This board fired right up with G860 Sandy Bridge and Ripjaws F3-12800CL9D-4GBXL. I needed on board parallel port for expensive Legacy Software with HASP key protection. Worked fine

Cons: No floppy drive connection but plenty of USB headers

1 out of 5 eggsFits what i need

Pros: has everything i need to keep old tech up and running

Cons: apparently i need a bios upgrade
on power up the fans spin for a second, then back off. this repeats over and over never fully powering up.
i bought an ivy bridge cpu and cannot get it up in order to do the upgrade

Other Thoughts: i saw in another post that foxconn offered help, but no one answers the number they gave

Manufacturer Response:

Please call us at 714-626-6909 for a replacement BIOS chip. Please don't just hang up if all our support reps are on the phone. Our hours of operation are (M-F from 830am-530pm, PST, excluding public holidays). You can also use the link below to submit us an email along with your shipping address.

2 out of 5 eggsQuirky Board

Pros: High number of PCI slots for older device support on newer electronics and serial and parallel ports giving the ability to attach devices that are not made in USB variants reliably

Cons: Bios on motherboard was severely outdated, to upgrade it you need to request a new physical chip from the manufacturer. I sent an e-mail 10 days ago and still have not received a reply. I mainly work nights, so calling their phone number during the day is a real hassle. The shipped bios has several limiting factors that make full backwards compatibility a pipe dream (such as disabling ACPI or doing compatibility mode on all of the sata ports)

Other Thoughts: If I could get the newest bios for this that would support the processor that I originally intended to put into the machine, and if the new bios had more features for compatibility this would be an awesome motherboard for older medical / manufacturing hardware

Manufacturer Response:

Please submit your email to the link below with your shipping address.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the buck

Pros: Cheap
Easy to setup
Worked first time out of packaging
Installation CD is setup to make driver installation easy

Cons: The only possible con I can find is that instructions for mobo is only 1 giant page in multiple languages. This might make it confusing for amateur computer builders but for veterans it is actually easy.

Other Thoughts: For the price, this is a fantastic buy

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Unable to tell

Cons: Recieved the board, and got the system put together. Upon hitting the power button the fans all spun up but I got no post, and no video feed. Attempted to get to post with just power connected and no drives and ran into the same problem.

Manufacturer Response:

If you are using an Ivy Bridge processor then it will need a BIOS update otherwise it won't post. So please call us at 714-626-6909 for a replacement BIOS chip. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 830am-530pm, PST, excluding public holidays.

Best regards,

5 out of 5 eggsDoes exactly what I need

Pros: Solid board. Plenty of PCI slots. Runs great.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Runs 24/7 as a home server/nas. Plenty of PCI slots so I can slap in some SATA controllers. Running an i3 2120 flawlessly!

3 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Looked good and had PCI coverage

Cons: I got it, but waited to get my other parts, and when I did, it passed warranty. I fit the CPU in correctly and when I went to power it on, nothing happened, so I looked and when I checked the CPU, there were no pins on it! The socket stripped the pins right out!

Other Thoughts: Never got to test it, probably going to buy a different one

Manufacturer Response:

There are no pins on an 1155 socket processor. The pin is now on the 1155 socket on the motherboard itself. If you are using an Ivy Bridge processor then it may need to update the BIOS first. So please call our support team at 714-626-6909 for further assistance. Our hours of operation are (M-F from 830am-530pm, PST, excluding public holidays).

Best regards,
Foxconn support team

5 out of 5 eggsJust Buy It

Pros: This Foxconn MB was incredibly easy to install and use. Used this with a SB Pentium and works well. Caps are solid and it has 6 pci slots! The BIOS is simple and recognized my ram and everything. A must buy.

Cons: No USB 3.0, but I didn't need it anyway.

Other Thoughts: You might have to update the realtek lan drivers through the cd first to be able to access the internet. Comes with two orange sata cables. The setup manual was sort of useful.
