Ready for the leading edge of processor and card technology, EVGA's nForce 680i SLI 775 Motherboard comes locked and loaded -- SLI ready and built to support Intel's Core Duo processor. Designed for Windows XP, it comes ready with NVIDIA's features for RAID management, improved data transport, network management and firewall security. This motherboard is a solid foundation for building a monster system. Anticipating future developments in graphics cards, it even offers support for running a third PCI-e card, so it's not going out of style anytime soon!
This motherboard is planned, designed and built from the ground up for the experienced enthusiasts who want to push their systems to the absolute limit, and have the resources to do it. Overclock it as high as you like -- it can take it. Network as wide as you like -- it'll run it. You can even use FirstPacket technology to prioritize upstream bandwidith for the hottest Gigabit Ethernet around. This board is stable under the hottest action, and the chrome plated cooling fins keep things cool.
Two SLI graphics cards will provide you with almost painfully realistic gaming action -- watch out for bruises and bullet holes! EVGA gets these boards from the same place as NVIDIA's initial reference design, so there are no loopholes or conflicts. Use one of these boards for the core of your new build, and you'll have more than enough capacity to hold all the speed and processing power you'll know what to do with!

Best motherboard Ive used
- Pros: This board is unstoppable! its not how high you can go that limits you its the heat that you have to control to get what you want. The board never fights back in overclocking. Nice features in the networking.
- Cons: Make sure to go into the bios and turn on all your fans manually to 100% and cpuvreg to on or else your fan headers will not turn on for case fans. Also built in Lan cards must be installed by themselves from the nforce drivers first before you can install SMBUS and storage drivers from disc or website drivers. If you dont you will get code 12 in windows XP saying not enough resources for built in Lan. Took me 4 hours to figure this out and serveral reformats. EVGA techs didnt know what to do, but they tried to help. Nividia will come out with new patch im sure for this problem.
- Other Thoughts: I chose this board over the Asus Striker for two reasons. The last two times I was an early adopter for ASUS I was burned by them both times for customer support. Not to mention they have altered the nvidia reference design alot and to charge 399 for a motherboard is crazy. EVGA has awesome tech support and lifetime warranty what else do you want?
Best motherboard I have ever seen
- Pros: This sucker overclocks like there is no tomorrow. Supports SLI for dual 8800GTX, THREE PCI Express slots for Physics, HD Audio, SLI Ready Memory, post code LED, 6 SATA ports.... Best thing is that I was able to overclock my Conroe CPU quickly and easily.
The BIOS on this board is very easy to understand and navigate.
- Cons: 2nd PCI slot gets blocked with dual 8800GTX

Works great
- Pros: This board has been working great for me. I have been following the EVGA forum for months and know some people are having some serious problems but I haven't hit any yet. Running FSB at 1600 and e6600 at 3.2ghz now but was running stable at 3.6ghz first try (turned down until I reapply my thermal paste). The layout of the board is pretty nice. Updated from P19 to P26 BIOS the first day using floppy and it works fine.
- Cons: The northbridge fan can be a noisy little sucker at 100%.
- Other Thoughts: EVGA has great tech support. Make sure you register the board.
Died after 3 months of use
- Pros: This motherboard was great when it worked.
- Cons: Okay, so i purchased on the 1/31/07 and it lasted until 4/13/07. It was adequately cooled, worked fine for the longest time, was overclocked a little bit, but had great cooling like mentioned before. I rebooted before doing some video editing, nothing unusual. Windows shut down and then I recieved a "unusable signal" error, no post/beeps. I reseated my videocard for whatever reason, then noticed the LED display read "- -" which tech support confirmed that it had become a "brick" and or "paperweight" as they actually said. lol
Not what I expected out of a 250$ motherboard.
- Other Thoughts: eVGA tech support is OK, they messed up and took my wrong email to register my product to, so there was a delay in the RMA process, they require you to upload a invoice also.
REGISTER THIS PRODUCT within 30 days and receive a LIFETIME warranty, after the 30 days it is a TWO YEAR warranty.
Good, BUT...
- Pros: CUTTING EDGE board. Lot of features, new chipset
- Cons: Beware of nVidia Updates! They crash your system! STAY WITH the originals. RESIST the urge to update! DO NOT update to new improved nTune, or it will crash
P27 bios update (or P26) 'dumbs' the board down bad.
- Other Thoughts: Great idea, but nVidia is dumbing this board down very fast! Makes me wonder what they did WRONG, and are trying to cover UP? Sure, running RAM over the 2.1v limit? Known problem. nVidia seriously needs some GOOD programmers to build and PATCH nTune. This is UNACCEPTABLE. This board is 'PREMIUM' priced, and as such is entitled to PREMIUM support. No such thing... You figure it out... Pay a lot of $$$, get a pile of sheep-dung in return? nVidia needs to get with this board and keep it updated! FIX the problems, don't dumb it down without expanations!
