Ready for the leading edge of processor and card technology, EVGA's nForce 680i SLI 775 Motherboard comes locked and loaded -- SLI ready and built to support Intel's Core Duo processor. Designed for Windows XP, it comes ready with NVIDIA's features for RAID management, improved data transport, network management and firewall security. This motherboard is a solid foundation for building a monster system. Anticipating future developments in graphics cards, it even offers support for running a third PCI-e card, so it's not going out of style anytime soon!

This motherboard is planned, designed and built from the ground up for the experienced enthusiasts who want to push their systems to the absolute limit, and have the resources to do it. Overclock it as high as you like -- it can take it. Network as wide as you like -- it'll run it. You can even use FirstPacket technology to prioritize upstream bandwidith for the hottest Gigabit Ethernet around. This board is stable under the hottest action, and the chrome plated cooling fins keep things cool.

Two SLI graphics cards will provide you with almost painfully realistic gaming action -- watch out for bruises and bullet holes! EVGA gets these boards from the same place as NVIDIA's initial reference design, so there are no loopholes or conflicts. Use one of these boards for the core of your new build, and you'll have more than enough capacity to hold all the speed and processing power you'll know what to do with!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: This board has been working great for me. I have been following the EVGA forum for months and know some people are having some serious problems but I haven't hit any yet. Running FSB at 1600 and e6600 at 3.2ghz now but was running stable at 3.6ghz first try (turned down until I reapply my thermal paste). The layout of the board is pretty nice. Updated from P19 to P26 BIOS the first day using floppy and it works fine.

Cons: The northbridge fan can be a noisy little sucker at 100%.

Other Thoughts: EVGA has great tech support. Make sure you register the board.

3 out of 5 eggsDied after 3 months of use

Pros: This motherboard was great when it worked.

Cons: Okay, so i purchased on the 1/31/07 and it lasted until 4/13/07. It was adequately cooled, worked fine for the longest time, was overclocked a little bit, but had great cooling like mentioned before. I rebooted before doing some video editing, nothing unusual. Windows shut down and then I recieved a "unusable signal" error, no post/beeps. I reseated my videocard for whatever reason, then noticed the LED display read "- -" which tech support confirmed that it had become a "brick" and or "paperweight" as they actually said. lol

Not what I expected out of a 250$ motherboard.

Other Thoughts: eVGA tech support is OK, they messed up and took my wrong email to register my product to, so there was a delay in the RMA process, they require you to upload a invoice also.

REGISTER THIS PRODUCT within 30 days and receive a LIFETIME warranty, after the 30 days it is a TWO YEAR warranty.

2 out of 5 eggsGood, BUT...

Pros: CUTTING EDGE board. Lot of features, new chipset

Cons: Beware of nVidia Updates! They crash your system! STAY WITH the originals. RESIST the urge to update! DO NOT update to new improved nTune, or it will crash

P27 bios update (or P26) 'dumbs' the board down bad.

Other Thoughts: Great idea, but nVidia is dumbing this board down very fast! Makes me wonder what they did WRONG, and are trying to cover UP? Sure, running RAM over the 2.1v limit? Known problem. nVidia seriously needs some GOOD programmers to build and PATCH nTune. This is UNACCEPTABLE. This board is 'PREMIUM' priced, and as such is entitled to PREMIUM support. No such thing... You figure it out... Pay a lot of $$$, get a pile of sheep-dung in return? nVidia needs to get with this board and keep it updated! FIX the problems, don't dumb it down without expanations!

5 out of 5 eggsStable, Dependable, Fast

Pros: AR (p24), q6600, evga 7950gt ko, 2GB TWIN2X2048-8500C5 @ 1066mhz\5-5-5-15-30-t2\2.2v in COOLER MASTER CAC-T05-WW.

been running this board now 14-18 hours a day for 8 weeks without issue. heavy multi-tasking (3ds Max, Affter Effects, Oblivion, Gothic 3, GRAW, Stalker all run flawlessly, burned about 30 dvd-r's\10 cdr's thru external firewire, roughly 60-100gb of web traffic across the onboard nic).

Cons: Temps on the NB\SB are a little high with the stock cooling. Onboard sound isn't very good. Replacing with X-FI Extreme Gamer FPS.
4 weeks after purchase the AR version is discontinued and replaced with A1.

Other Thoughts: Even tho many people are claiming fried ram and overclocking problems with the quadcores, i'm not overclocking anything or running raid, or any ide drives, or sli. So my stability may be from the simplicity of the setup. EVGA with it's lifetime warranty has personally assured me that when and if i do have any problems with my AR board, they will cross ship me an A1 revision.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Well this baord overclocks like no other ..and runs stable I am currently running my e6600 @ 3.0 mhz stable ..rock solid

Cons: Bois is really quirky, and if you are a first time builder (do not buy!)

Sata issues with Raptor drives is horrable(nivida drivers)Sata (still wating on Nivida/EVGA to put out a fix

Other Thoughts: If you ahve hi voltage memory do not run volts @ 2.2 you will fly your ram ..highest I would go is 2.1 volts(even if you ahve to under clock your ram to do so (untill there is a bios fix for the overvolting of the ram)

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Chock full of feature goodness. It even comes with a serial port, for the two guys out there that refuse to give up their serial mice or external modems.

Cons: Was hard to get front panel audio functioning, which is apparently a big issue with a lot of people with this board, according to the eVGA forums. A couple of minor annoyances.

Other Thoughts: I'm satisfied. Might buy another of these for my wife, who recently decided she likes games.

4 out of 5 eggsQX6700 OC'ers Beware

Pros: Good board, everything is laid out well.

Cons: If you are trying to overclock a QX6700 proc past 1300 FSB this mobo wont do it. I found out the hard way. However, EVGA is aware of the problem and will swap boards out for one that will work.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Board-hugely recommended for OC tweakers

Pros: Only the non-specific verb, "excellent" describes the ease of configuring this OC-friendly mobo.

Cons: Depending on what size CPU fan you are putting on and the type of case, it may be difficult to screw in the board to the case in the upper left quadrant. I have an ANTEC P180 and Thermatake Big Typhoon CPU Fan. The Antec case has lots of room to put stuff in but the upper fan and the CPU fan crowds the small upper left corner leaving me with no room for any fingers to hold the mobo down in place. The SATA connections start from the side connections rather than the ones on the face of the board. This is easily configurable in the Bios.

Other Thoughts: Check your RAM Voltage as the default is 1.8v. You will need to change it in the Bios.
Issue with Nvidia video software compatibility for the mobo and video card software (even if it was a Nvidia video Card).

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: First time overclocking and it took very little effort with this board. Very easy to use. Mobo physically looks good - black.

Cons: Not able to control case fans with the board. Some of the documentation is off - have to download the latest PDF from EVGA.

When mounted, the audio headers are at the bottom left of the case - cables for my case don't reach.

Other Thoughts: Head about some problems with over clocking quad core. Not an issue for me (using an E6600) but hear that EVGA will crossship replacement boards for free.
