1 out of 5 eggsGreat Company - Broken Motherboard (i.e. bad memory slot)

Pros: EVGA is a great company, I've done a ton of business with them and they are truly a pleasure to deal with. I would rate their customer service up there with Costco.

Cons: One of the two DIMM slots was bad.

Other Thoughts: I love EVGA video cards; it is the only brand I use for video cards. I have always only used ASUS motherboards; however I decided to try an EVGA motherboard because of how much I love EVGA customer support and the very high quality of video cards. Needless to say I've returned this defective EVGA motherboard and replaced it with an ASUS equivalent. It may be random bad luck for EVGA on this one, but because of this experience I am going to continue to stick with ASUS. Note that ASUS has EXTREMELY poor customer service in comparison to EVGA, and I would highly prefer to do business with EVGA.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Experience

Pros: None Yet

Cons: This Board Literally Fried my brand new Ram (tested in another system and stickers melted) and Possibly fried a new Core 2 Duo Processor(can not test yet). I had to RMA and can only get a replacement and spin the roulette wheel on another $60 worth of ram to see if it gets fried as well. It was installed correctly as well.

Other Thoughts: Costly Mistake, especially if my processor is fried. I really Hope the return Board I get is Functional. I know the Vendor will not pay to replace my Ram and Processor and Highly Doubt EVGA will either.

5 out of 5 eggsGood mATX Board

Pros: Great mATX board. NVIDIA chipset runs most games smoothly on Medium High to High and will get 30-40 FPS. I'm going to note that I mostly play simulation games. The built in audio works perfectly, and I can use my front jacks for one audio stream and rear jacks for the other, which really makes good use for mixing and cueing while being a DJ.

Can accept almost any dual & quad core Pentium CPU, which made the CPU selection a lot easier.

Cons: The "PC Health & Status" window in the BIOS keeps freezing every time I go to it. Kind of a pain since there really is no motherboard monitoring system that I can use with this motherboard. Not a big issue though, the computer doesn't run hot at all from the very little readings I get.

Other Thoughts: This is a good board for those just getting into the Intel Core 2 Duo age, or for those looking for a good HTPC board. I will probably have to buy a separate video card in the near future, since this chipset and built-in video can't handle everything on High settings.

I'd love to see a DVI or some sort of TV-Out port built in on the low end EVGA mainboard, but I'm not complaining.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent board

Pros: Decent features for a very good price. The overclock ability is what makes it a great board. It is not capable of reaching the higher speeds of the performance chipsets, but at this price, the bonus of OC is a real plus

Cons: Installing two dimms limits the OC.
Running a PATA hard drive and CD was problematic

Other Thoughts: I was able to reach a 2.45 ghz, FSB speed of 1400 mhz and a memory speed of 4-4-4-12-1t (link & sync). This was with an e6300 and 1 dimm installed. This is limited by the board, since these parts came from my EVGA 680i board that easily ran at 3.05. Installing a second DIMM required me to lower the settings (only added it as a test)

Dont run mixed PATA devices (dont have both your CD and hard drive PATA, make one SATA).

4 out of 5 eggsIt works.

Pros: Built in 258 meg Nvidia Geforce 7050 video. Works on first boot. Size fits standard micro ATX motherboard screw slots.

Cons: No SATA RAID. Can't boot off of SATA drives properly if you have PATA's on board, but than I knew this from prior Nvidia chipset motherboards. It's an Nvidia thing.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to replace a Gigabyte motherboard that I had RMA'd back to Newegg (Newegg's great on this kind of thing). Gigabyte just keeps doing an endless Q-Flash BIOS flashing boot. I knew Nvidia chipsets from a prior build and I chose this to get the job done and over with. It worked as expected. You just have to boot off of a PATA harddrive and don't expect RAID.

2 out of 5 eggsWorthless NVIDIA RAID

Pros: Four SATA ports, decent price. Everything else seems comparable to the other boards I looked at.

Cons: The NVIDIA RAID is extremely unreliable. I've been running two SATA 160 GB drives in a bootable mirror (RAID 1) for a couple weeks, and it has reverted the mirror to separate drives twice already. Doesn't take much research to find lots of other people with the same problem.

Other Thoughts: I've used onboard RAID in the last 5 or 6 machines I've built, and they've all worked great. There just seems to be a problem with the NVIDIA RAID. The next time this RAID controller splits my mirror, I'll probably replace it with a dedicated RAID card so I can stop worrying about data loss.

2 out of 5 eggsDon't do it..

Pros: All things being equal, there should be nothing but pros with this board.

Cons: The floppy drive controller never worked and you need it to setup a SATA RAID. EVGA RMA'd the board and the replacement had the same problem. I got tired of fooling with it so I bought competitors board with the same chipset and whaddya know? Everything worked the first time out.

Other Thoughts: I'm now stuck with the EVGA board because "Company Policy" states that they won't refund, credit, or replace with anything other than the same item. I love their video cards but I'll have to think twice about buying their products if they are going to leave me high and dry.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: This board does exactly what I want it to do, and then a lil. but it does what it does very very well! thats the best part.
I haven't tried overclocking because I've gotten a nice CPU. But, it's very stable, good hardware. Ton's of possiblilities.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I even got it with a rebate which was nice.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressed!

Pros: Low cost with great onboard graphics. General build for someone with Intel dual core 820 O.C. to 3.1Ghz and 512 DDR2 667. This will beat out most computers sold in stores.

Cons: None really for a basic mATX board.

Other Thoughts: You really can't go wrong for a normal user or even a moderate user. You have options to upgrade video and even DDR2 800.

4 out of 5 eggsRocker on a budget..

Pros: Fairly inexpensive for what you get. Board is very stable with a QX 6700 and 7950GT. Runs cool and performs on par with a typical ATX board.

Cons: Thus far, none. Seems like a great investment to me!

Other Thoughts: I'm not a fanboy, but have built 1000's of PC's for Velocity Micro. EVGA has always been a good and reputable component supplier. I see very few EVGA anything fail, vid cards AND mobos, and respect their products because of this.
