5 out of 5 eggsSad to see it go LOVE IT

Pros: Superb board never had one last as long. Purchased in 2008 and only now replacing it (2013). I ran an overclocked Q6600 8gigs ram and two Nvidia GTX 285s in SLi and even today I run games at max with great FPS. I am only replacing this build because I want to upgrade the processor. I will be keeping this build as a second gaming rig.

Never had a mobo last this long brovo EVGA!

Cons: lol

5 out of 5 eggsStill solid after four years

Pros: This board has never had a problem since the fall of 2008 when I bought it for my first computer build. It had excellent upgrade potential. I now run it with a Q8400, 2 x GTX560, and 8gigs of DDR2. I can honestly play most games at a very high setting!

Cons: It is a **** getting my ArticCooler7 snapped onto the board over the CPU, but maybe that's not the boards fault. It just seems awfully cramped right there.

Other Thoughts: Paid about $200 flat for this and never regretted it. I can only hope my next build ( black friday?!?), will have a board with this much longevity.

5 out of 5 eggsThe best 775 board

Pros: Very stable with any overclocks i have tried. Power / restart buttons on the board were ahead of its time on this sort of board. The only 3 way sli board out at the time.

Cons: The northbridge heatsink / fan was not the greatest design ever.. You would end up roasting your top gpu with 150*f+ air. But, that is literally the only problem with this board.. And its not even a real problem.

Other Thoughts: 780i
C2Quad Q9550 @ 4.2Ghz for the past 3 years.
Corsair Dominator 6gb @ 1066Mhz.
3x Evga GTX 280's stock clocks.
WD green 2tb storage.
Ocz 128Gb ssd.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Very stable, it has maintained overclocks for the past 2.5 years with 0 issues. Is very capable of anything you can throw at it.

Cons: The heatsink / fan combo on the north bridge is a poor design imo. You end up blowing 150*F+ air onto the back of your gpu..

Other Thoughts: At the time it was pretty much the best thing you could buy. It was the only 3 way SLI board on the market then, and has run 3x gtx 280's until recently.

5 out of 5 eggsPC Gaming

Pros: Very mod enthusiast friendly, doesn't work with Celerons.

Cons: Stability takes time, your A+ Certification will be put to the test in every way.

Other Thoughts: Satisfies my vision of high-end PC gaming, didn't require any special adjustments when I upgraded from a lower-end socket 775 mobo while letting me know that I'll be able to run all the games in my various wish-list's at full settings without being "left in the dark" by mainstream console gamers. And the digital sound in Windows Media Center really brings home that theater feeling which is a real first for me...

Cons: it's not ddr3

Other Thoughts: 780i sli, q6700, 6gb 800mhz ddr2 and 9800gtx+ ran evey game I played maxed out with good (50-70) fps until skyrim.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent MB

Pros: For the price, the features are wondeful and and robust.

Cons: The board is a little quirky if you don't stay on top off up-to-date drivers.

2 out of 5 eggsBad Chipset

Pros: Board looks impressive.

Cons: Died December 2010.

Other Thoughts: EVGA should had done the right thing and offered to sell us their upgraded board with the Japanese caps when they knew that this board had defective caps.

I now have upgraded to an Asus Sandy Bridge mb with the standard 3 year warranty.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: I have had this since 2008. Never had a problem with it yet. EVGA is pretty good with customer support too if you ever need it. It has a lot of slots for expansion and upgrading your system. Plus, SLI if you decide to really max out your graphics performance.

Cons: Nothing so far.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you register the product with EVGA as soon as you get it. They have a pretty good warranty, but you have to register within so many days of buying the product. I haven't had to touch my warranty yet, but it's good to know it's there.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost a great board.

Pros: - Lots of options in BIOS for overclocking
- Many extras (dual lan, firewire connectors, etc.)

Cons: - CPU socked it located high on the board preventing installation of large heat sinks (Thermaltake Max Orb won't fit in my mid case)
- the nortbridge fan is exhausting the hot air directly on my video card. I wish they let it blow either left or right instead of straight down.
- Can only insert the single card into the 1st slot (the one closest to the nortbridge...) If it was possible to move the card lower I think the heat issue would be somewhat alleviated.

Other Thoughts: Decent board, except for the couple of things mentioned above. Because of the heat issue I took one egg off.
The nTune software is a bit glichy too, caused my comp to crash a couple of times.
