5 out of 5 eggsStill using it made it into a htpc

Pros: Very Stable Motherboard, I've owned it since 2008 running with a q9650. Last year I added two 550 gtx ti's ran them like a champ.

Cons: If I could put a 4th gen chip I wouldn't remove it. So no con's

Other Thoughts: My ram finally died out and I decided that it was time to upgrade to haswell. But I probably would of waited at least a few more months if the memory didn't die on it.

But Now I had the excuse to build another gaming rig and this board is getting new ram and being used as a htpc.

Great board I'm hoping my new board last this long. Great job evga

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Board

Pros: I have had this board since 2008, and it has always been a champ. To this day I run most games on very high settings with an SLI setup. I am only upgrading because I need to catch up with the times, it will be used as a backup gaming rig.

Cons: The only issue I ever had with this board the was BIOS chip coming unseated a couple times throughout its lifetime, just press it back in and it was fine. EVGA tech support was top notch helping me solve that issue when it came up.

5 out of 5 eggsGreatest Board I Ever Purchased

Pros: Purchased this board in 2008. I have had 0 problems and it still is running perfectly. I have owned many boards before and this is hands down the best. EVGA will forever be my board choice. Although discontinued, it continues to be an amazing board.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Hope EVGA quality is still this good.

5 out of 5 eggsSad to see it go LOVE IT

Pros: Superb board never had one last as long. Purchased in 2008 and only now replacing it (2013). I ran an overclocked Q6600 8gigs ram and two Nvidia GTX 285s in SLi and even today I run games at max with great FPS. I am only replacing this build because I want to upgrade the processor. I will be keeping this build as a second gaming rig.

Never had a mobo last this long brovo EVGA!

Cons: lol

5 out of 5 eggsStill solid after four years

Pros: This board has never had a problem since the fall of 2008 when I bought it for my first computer build. It had excellent upgrade potential. I now run it with a Q8400, 2 x GTX560, and 8gigs of DDR2. I can honestly play most games at a very high setting!

Cons: It is a **** getting my ArticCooler7 snapped onto the board over the CPU, but maybe that's not the boards fault. It just seems awfully cramped right there.

Other Thoughts: Paid about $200 flat for this and never regretted it. I can only hope my next build ( black friday?!?), will have a board with this much longevity.

5 out of 5 eggsThe best 775 board

Pros: Very stable with any overclocks i have tried. Power / restart buttons on the board were ahead of its time on this sort of board. The only 3 way sli board out at the time.

Cons: The northbridge heatsink / fan was not the greatest design ever.. You would end up roasting your top gpu with 150*f+ air. But, that is literally the only problem with this board.. And its not even a real problem.

Other Thoughts: 780i
C2Quad Q9550 @ 4.2Ghz for the past 3 years.
Corsair Dominator 6gb @ 1066Mhz.
3x Evga GTX 280's stock clocks.
WD green 2tb storage.
Ocz 128Gb ssd.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Very stable, it has maintained overclocks for the past 2.5 years with 0 issues. Is very capable of anything you can throw at it.

Cons: The heatsink / fan combo on the north bridge is a poor design imo. You end up blowing 150*F+ air onto the back of your gpu..

Other Thoughts: At the time it was pretty much the best thing you could buy. It was the only 3 way SLI board on the market then, and has run 3x gtx 280's until recently.

5 out of 5 eggsPC Gaming

Pros: Very mod enthusiast friendly, doesn't work with Celerons.

Cons: Stability takes time, your A+ Certification will be put to the test in every way.

Other Thoughts: Satisfies my vision of high-end PC gaming, didn't require any special adjustments when I upgraded from a lower-end socket 775 mobo while letting me know that I'll be able to run all the games in my various wish-list's at full settings without being "left in the dark" by mainstream console gamers. And the digital sound in Windows Media Center really brings home that theater feeling which is a real first for me...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: I have been using this board for the last 4 years with out any problems. in my opinion it's the best lga 775 board you can find (if you can).

Cons: it's not ddr3

Other Thoughts: 780i sli, q6700, 6gb 800mhz ddr2 and 9800gtx+ ran evey game I played maxed out with good (50-70) fps until skyrim.
