5 out of 5 eggsThis board is still killing it after three years of use.

Pros: High end materials and unmatched attention to detail. Fairly easy to overclock the 1366 i7s with the included software. Has most of the features of the much larger and more expensive classified boards.

Cons: Intel dumped the LGA 1366 almost as fast as they introduced it. Not really a con on the board though.

Other Thoughts: I wish intel could have made some new chips with backward compatibility, but that's just wishful thinking. These older systems still hold their own against the newer ones.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Mobo ever purchased

Pros: I have had two of these motherboards purchased for my work, built the computers and didnt have a single problem with either one. One computer runs dual SLI with GTX460s, RAID0, 12GB RAM, the other has 6GB ram... The main reason for purchasing this board is the ability to have 2 full speed PCIex16 ports.

Cons: I wish there were more boards similar to this, also the micro form factor does make things a bit limiting in the case, especially running 2x dual height GTX460s but the case does a good job at keeping things cool. So no real con

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate to Previous review

Pros: Over all good Motherboard.

Cons: Not necessarily a compatible replacement for all X58 OEM Motherboards. Be warned.

Other Thoughts: As stated in my previous review, I was replacing the TBGM-01 Motherboard that came in the Gateway FX6800-01e. This motherboard would be a great choice for a new build, but I would not recommend it as a replacement for an exiting OEM board as it probably will not work, due to Manufacturer's Proprietary stuff they tend to include.

4 out of 5 eggsGREAT BOARD!!!! but died

Pros: This Motherboard has some great features, particukarly in the BiOS. It also ran some 20C cooler then the OEM Motherboard and with Smart Fan enabled ( disabled on the OEM Board because of the Northbridge temps ). Was able to run the 1600 Mhz ram at 1600 Mhz instead of 1066 Mhz that it ran on the OEM board.

Cons: On the OEM mother board, my default boot was to Vista. When I booted on this board, it booted into Windows 7. It updated the drivers automatically. I then lost my mouse ( USB wired and wireless ). It kept updating and things got progressively worse. Now it won't even post. Will go back to the OEM Motherboard. Not enough headers.

Other Thoughts: As I said, will have to go back to the other Motherboard as I believe this one is dead. I have always been a fan of EVGA's Video Cards and I'm sure the Motherboard is a fine product as well. Just didn't work for this Gateway FX6800-01e. Won't try again, but will wait for a BiOS hack that will unlock the ram speeds. Should have made a note of of the BiOS version ( Award ) as it may have worked on the OEM board ( which uses AMI on a Phoenix Chip ).

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: My first build, this evga board was great. So easy to install, fantastic directions, clear and concise. Evga also has 24/7 customer support! Some people post they have asked them to do weird stuff like take out the CMOS battery, which they do, but only to confirm a dead board is actually dead, for most issues they're quite helpful.

Cons: Support sometimes has long waits, first board was DOA. Manual not very informative. For instance, the explanation of turbo boost in the bios was "enables or disables turbo boosts". Yeah...

5 out of 5 eggsEVGA is the elite of computing!!!!

Pros: Love EVGA their products are slick design, and reliable. I've continue to trust EVGA with all my computing needs. I have all EVGA products powering my computer beside the power pack. No faults after over a year running as like it just came out of the box. Because of EVGA's awesome reliability I will only use their products.

Cons: None!!

Other Thoughts: System Info: Intel (R) Core(TM) i7 CPU (920 @ 2.67GHz, 2653Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)Memory 12GB; OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit; Video Card: NVIDA GeForce GTS 250 EVGA

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive Little Beast

Pros: Unquestionable build quality; the PCB and components are built to last and are of a weight and quality that is observable once in your hands. Northbridge and southbridge heatsinks are equally impressive in their capacity to absorb and dissipate heat (although, not necessarily a con, they can get quite hot when your Core i7 is overclocked). Gigabit ethernet proved its worth on downloads and I'm absolutely in love with the multiple fan jumpers and reset/power buttons. They will come in hand when benchmarking and overclocking - believe me. If you are using only one dual slot video car, this is the board for you! One can use two but it would make things a bit tight (under air cooling). Plenty of clearance for my massive Thermal****t U120eXtrem heatsink. So many options in the BIOS its sick!

Cons: It won't type my papers for me...

Other Thoughts: Core i7 930 @ 3.4
6Gigs Mushkin Enhanced Redline DDR3 @ 1600
OCZ Vertex 2 60G SSD
EVGA GeForce 460 GTX 1G
