4 out of 5 eggsEVGA 120-SB-E672-RX

Pros: Nice board for what the price ive heard it sold for, has many, many feaures that you just dont seem to get with other board manufacturer's for the same or close to the same price.

Cons: No Ivy bridge support OUT OF BOX -Only reason im writing a reivew is to notify other owners of this board, that Bios R16, Does in fact add Ivy-Bridge Support!!

I would include Bios download link here but Newegg doesnt allow URL's So I shall provide instructions.

Go to EVGA's website -> Support -> Drivers and Bios -> Motherboard -> Family, and Choose Intel P67 -> Part Number is 120-SB-E672 - EVGA P67 SLI Micro -> Type MUST be "ALL" and OS MUST be "ALL", Or else drivers and Bios updates will not show up for some reason for the most part.

Many Audio driver updates are out, seems like maybe these will fix audio issues?

R22 Bios update fixes other issues as well. Bios updates for this board can be installed with DOS or in Windows, either way, it seems like you will have to have a 2nd gen CPU to use for the update . Im suprized at how longEVGA has been updating drivers for this board, they seem very vigilant on the board's issues.

Other Thoughts: Friend bought this board off newegg but had a Ivy bridge cpu, at the time we didnt know there was a Bios update to add support for Ivy Bridge and we didnt have a way to update Bios anyways, So I bought the board off him.

For being a Micro ATX motherboard, I dont think ive ever seen a board with nearly as many features as this one unless you want to pay over 200$ easily.

May do a Video review later, as i am waiting to update the board to support Ivy bridge.

5 out of 5 eggsnice motherboard

Pros: i like this motherboard even though it has some limitations. hooked it all up and updated bios without a hitch and bin rockin and rollin on it ever since.

Cons: *can only use sandy bridge
*sli slots are way to close and wish everything was positioned a little better than what it is.
*sli slots only run at 8x each which really isnt a con but just thought i should mention it

Other Thoughts: when i tried installing a zalman cpu cooler i realized it was to big because when trying to install it i kinda bent one of the capacitor down abit and i turned pale white like i messed up but i removed the cooler gently pushed it back in place and installed the oem cpu cooler that came with the cpu and all was well

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate to previous review

Pros: See my earlier review

Cons: See my earlier review

Other Thoughts: EVGA has released a BIOS update (as of 12/20/12) that adds support for Ivy Bridge CPUs.
From the update notes:

The following has been updated in R16:

Adds support for Ivy Bridge CPU's
Fix bug with AUX fan
Fix crash in E-LEET
Improved PCI-E compatibility

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Low price board
Small form factor
All solid state capacitors
plenty of memory capacity

Cons: No usb 3 support - you have to get an adapter to use front panel usb if your case only has usb 3 connectors on the front. so to use those the adapter will bridge the usb 2 header on the motherboard to the usb 3 front panel cable.

The bios was 2 versions behind for me so you will have to flash the board to get the updated bios loaded. Very easy to do if you can follow simple instructions.

Other Thoughts: Im not sure why this board isnt higher rated. It overclocks well for any novice. If your trying to push this board like K!ngp!n does his then you should be using a much more expensive piece of hardware.

I see many complaints that this and other boards do not run 1600 mhz memory out of the box. thats true you will have to go into the bios to configure your memory manually. It's very easy to do. If you can figure out how to build a computer then you can google how to set the memory up correctly.

5 out of 5 eggsEverything went better than expected.

Pros: You absolutely cannot beat the features this board offers for schfifty five bucks.
10 USB ports. I doubt I own that many USB devices.
BIOS is much more useful than my previous board.

Cons: No support for the Ivy Bridge line.
Only 2 USB 3.0 ports.

Other Thoughts: No audio issue! Hasn't burned down my house!
In fact, everything works perfectly.

5 out of 5 eggsPleasantly Surprised

Pros: Great features, PCIe2, DDR3, USB3, Sata3/600, dual bios, etc.
Nicely packaged, high quality hardware and accessories included.
Excellent value for the money

Cons: Does not support Ivy bridge CPU, this was not issue for me. On-board graphics would have been nice, but can't complain for what I paid.

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these and got them for an amazing fifty bucks each! I was replacing two AM2+ boards and chips in my MCE and WHS boxes so this was a huge upgrade for me. I bought two 2x4 8gb DDR3 1600 memory kits and two of the Intel G850's and I was all set for upgrading. So far I have been very pleased with these mobo's and the Sandy bridge procs. I got a ton of upgrades for these two machines for not a lot of ca$h. I highly recommend this as a value product. Great quality, even the included sata cables were nice and I am getting the full sata3/600 with the included cables.

2 out of 5 eggsAudio Issue as well

Pros: Good price (bought this week on sale for $55), older but good chipset with SATA600 and USB3 - so great features and I needed a mATX motherboard.

Cons: Audio Issue like a lot of other people have. I tried so many things, cause I thought it was a driver issue.
First I had Windows giving me the update with sounds, didn't work. After that I tried all the different versions of driver directly from EVGA's homepage. Nothing is working. Don't know how to fix it.

Other Thoughts: I bought this motherboard for an HTPC, so I can have a fast SSD with OSX and then 2-3 bigger storage disc in my system and just hook it up to my TV. That was not possible - well it was, but I would like to have the chance to get sound of my stuff as well, since it will working as a Jukebox and HTPC.
I really wish that EVGA would do something here. Give some sort of help or send a sound card, cause that's needed here.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat MOB but!!!

Pros: This is a great company overall and they make good products but their equipment can be made for very specific items and you really need to check out on the EVGA website what parts are matching and what parts are not.

Cons: You must check the supported stats on this motherboard, it does not support the extra high end i7 cpu's. While an i7 2700 is supported - a i7 3770k for instance is not supported and will not run.

5 out of 5 eggsLiking this mobo, great for the price

Pros: Mounting holes for both 1155 and 775 coolers. Plenty of overclocking features. Booted up first try and has worked flawlessly so far. Sound is very good on mine, have it paired with some Bose speakers and the sound is very clear, bass very good- keep in mind I am not an audiophile though. Very well packaged with plenty of good quality cables and a nice manual which explains the codes that will flash on the mobo LED-another nice feature for troubleshooting. Fantastic value when its on sale.

Cons: You need to know this only works with Sandy bridge CPUs, and it only delivers 8x to the video PCI-E16 slots. Most 1155 boards will deliver 16x to the first slot if only one video card is installed, then drop both slots to 8x if you install two. This one is fixed at 8x, which is still more band-width than nearly anyone who uses this board will need.... for now. Future video cards may saturate this 8x bandwidth though. Make sure you install your CPU and RAM before you install you video card because its pretty tight in there.

The one other issue is dwindling support from EVGA for older mobo's. I love EVGA and they have great customer support one-on-one, but their MOBO lines have not been as good as some other brands in the last few years. Limited bios updates and odd glitches are not uncommon, but once you get them on the phone they do everything they can to help you.

Other Thoughts: I read the bad reviews, but when this came on sale for half a Benjamin I had to get one. I pared it up with a G850 and some inexpensive samsung ram, and a refurbished hard drive. I was looking to go as cheap as possible and took a chance on this mobo so I could keep the budget in line. Very happy with this build, and if I want to speed things up all I need is a better video card (using an old gtx 260) and a Sandy Bridge 2500k. Bang for the buck with this board is awesome if you get it on one of the (frequent) sales we have been seeing. Just dont stick the fastest new video card and Ivy Bridge CPU in it.

5 out of 5 eggssolid inexpensive board

Pros: price. although an older board not designed for the newest processors, the board contains some nicer features (usb 3.0, 2 SATA 3 connections, and nicer cords and adapters)and generally seems higher quality than the majority of boards at the $50 price point.

I have the same issue others have had about an initial message that HD is not found, but it moves on within a couple of seconds and finds the HD so not a major issue. Sound seems to be working fine (I am using the HDMI to a TV)

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Not sure I understand all the complaints about the unsupported CPUs. If you check the manufacturer's list before buying, you should be fine (that's what I did). If your CPU is not on the list, don't buy the board. Pretty simple.
