4 out of 5 eggsGood Board

Pros: Got this board because I wanted sli and move my gaming from socket 775. The performance definitely improved. It is a good looking board. I got the board on sale with a $20 rebate and the check came in a couple weeks.

Cons: These are my own personal quirks, so maybe it desrves 5 stars but I wish there were a bios update for Ivy Bridge. I got an older P67 that has a bios for that, and this chipset is newer. I now wish I would of gotten the full atx mobo because of the full length pci-e 4x for a dedicated physx.

Other Thoughts: Celeron G530
4 gigs ddr3
2-440gt oem's sli
Corsair 460 psu

5 out of 5 eggsAwsome Mobo

Pros: -Fast
-Nice looking
-Lot of power in a small package
-Very good onboard devices
-Able to overpass intel overclock rules a little bit. I get a i5-2400 non k version to 3.7ghz on all 4 cores. Speed is awsome.
-Lot of tweeking available.
-Windows E-LEET tuning utility (awsome)

Cons: The only con I can think of is that the sound header for the front jacks is at the complete rear of the card. For one thing, something that go in the front, why put it on the rear of the card. Second and most important reason, the header go right under the second video card. the connector is too tall to fit under the card. I had to buy a 90deg elbow at a local electonic store to be able to plug my front jack.

One more that came to my mind, the spread spectrum can't be deactivated otherwise onboard device don't work anymore. Little thing, but I would had like to disable it because I just don't care about interference in my house.

Other Thoughts: I will definitly buy again from EVGA

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: - Easy Install
- EVGAs manual is great for people who are first time builders.
- Packaging was immaculate; Great Job EVGA
- PC has been running since the day I got it at the office flawlessly!!
- When I purchased it was only $80; for the price, can't beat it.

Cons: - Honestly, to early to tell if any will come arrise. If something does I will report it ASAP

Other Thoughts: Specs:
- Pentium G620 (upgrading to Core i3 3220)
- 2x2GB Kingston 1066 (upgrading to 2x4GB Kingston 1866)
- WD 74GB Velociraptor (Win7 Ultiimate 64bit)
- 2x WD Black 320GB 2.5in HDD
- NVidia Quadro 580
- Antec LanBoy (original)

When I saw the price at $80 I couldnt resist. I’m replacing my older board with this so I could have the option to upgrade in the future to ivy bridge, which I just purchased. Couldn’t wait any longer lol. All I need this PC for is for running multiple web pages with flash programs (5-7 at a time), Word/PDF and Excel (creating and running macros). The G620 was a little slow running the macros but everything else was fine. Great little PC. Games wont really be played on this PC as I have a LGA 1366 monster at home.

5 out of 5 eggsSupports eSata Port Multiplier

Pros: EVGA quality, Z68 chipset. A very cool surprise was pluggin my sansdigital external 4-bay drive enclosure in and finding out the Marvell eSata controller on this board natively supports port multiplying. Out with the flaky Rosewill card!

Cons: Totally my own fault, I bought this board assuming since it had the Z68 chipset it had onboard video. I just need a low power consumption backup computer so I bought a fanless Radeon 5450 card.

Other Thoughts: Native port mulitiplier support makes up for my failing to see there was no on board video support.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat MB

Pros: Everything just worked as advertised. I had zero problems with it. I've come to only buy EVGA motherboards. In the past, I've tried other brands that just aren't up to EVGA quality. Paying a bit more to me is well worth not having the aggravation of dealing with junk that has multiple problems.

Cons: The board does not have an on-board USB 3.0 connector. EVGA- this is important, please include on all future MB's. As another reviewer stated, the PCI Express is x 8 and not 16 which may provide a slight issue in performance.

Other Thoughts: I didn't use any of the drivers and software on the included disc. I downloaded all the updated software from the EVGA website which I recommend.

Great Board. Great Company. Highly Recommended.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat SLI mobo for the price!

Pros: - Great SLI motherboard for the price.
- Has a very user-friend BIOS.
- The BIOS can be used for simple overclocking, and voltage modifications.

Cons: Came with TWO bent pins (not broken, just slightly bent). I did call up EVGA, but I still got the arrogant "probably user error" stuff. I ended up having to grow the balls to pop in my CPU and see how it works. (It booted up just fine.)

- It has that annoying "No hard-disk detected" error other people have complained about when booting up, but the motherboard boots fine anyway.

Other Thoughts: If it weren't for the bent pins, this would've gotten five eggs. It's a great motherboard- if you get a good one.

Manufacturer Response:

I do apologize if the pins in your socket are bent. We do check all boards before they are shipped, so I am uncertain how or where the pins got bent. Having bent pins can cause very erratic behavior such as HDD detection. I would recommend RMA'ing the board for long term stability by calling our 24/7 tech support (888)-881-3842

5 out of 5 eggsRam issue figured out

Pros: overclocks pretty well for a small form factor board got to 5 Ghz stable.

Cons: none really its a great board.

Other Thoughts: the problem with the ram issue isnt that it doesnt support higher speeds than 1600 MhZ its the voltage that causes instability figured this out after a few weeks of frequent lock ups switched my memory with another system recently... long story short one is rated for 1.65V and the one that works is rated for 1.5V.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great packaging, good board layout, and lots of options.

Cons: Would have been nice to have been for it to run at 16x for the PCI-Express slot instead of only 8x. This isn't a big issues but there is some slight bottlenecking with my 7970. Also the board wont run stable with my RAM at settings over 1600mhz (RAM is rated for 2133).

3 out of 5 eggsGood board, but one inexplicable quirk.

Pros: Nice board, and generally easy to work with. USB 3.0 is great for my external backup drive, and the on-board audio is fuller featured than my last motherboard. The lack of on-board video is a plus -- I had to ditch my old motherboard because it's on-board video didn't play nice with a separate video card.

Cons: For some reason, I can't get this board to start up if I have external USB ports attached to the on-board headers. I have absolutely no idea why. So long as the ports are hooked up, the LED lights just flash in frustration. The instant I disconnect them, it purrs like a kitten. I figured this out only after spending an hour poring over forums until I found someone with the same issue.

The ports worked fine on my last motherboard, and I have no reason to suspect a problem with them. I'm disappointed to lose front-mounted USB on my case, but it's not worth the hassle of RMA for such an issue.

Another quirk -- the pins for the case's power light are closer together than the holes on the connector, so I can't connect it unless I wire a new connector. This isn't necessarily EVGA's fault -- for some stupid reason, this hasn't been standardized.

Manufacturer Response:

I do apologize if you are having issues with your front panel header. If possible test another connection or bracket to see if the issues are with the pins on the motherboard or the wiring of the case. If you get the same result with another header connection make sure all the standoffs near the connection are securley in place as the back pins maybe grounding on the case itself.
