4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Has worked great for 5 or so years in my first custom case.

Cons: 3 of the 4 knob LEDs no longer work.
Not enough cables with unit. I never checked with vantec on the correct ones, just solved the problem myself.

Other Thoughts: Did not buy at Newegg.

4 out of 5 eggsNice and cheap, but no durability

Pros: Relatively inexpensive, nice aesthetics (the rings around the knobs glow blue) and fits into an otherwise useless 3.5" bay.

Cons: Mine broke after about a year, it just stopped working. Now I have to buy another one, but I'm going with a different brand.

Other Thoughts: It's not a bad option if you're looking for something cheap, but if I were you I'd spend the extra ten bucks and get the z@lman cooler instead.

3 out of 5 eggsWorked for a while

Pros: When i first ordered it worked fabulously with the exception that there was not way to completely turn a fan off.

Cons: after a few months one of the connections no longer gives any power tried looking to see if it was a bad compacitor or connection in the PCB or the nob it self but didn't look like anything that could be fixed easy for the price just get another one.

Other Thoughts: make sure that your fans do not exceed the amps outputted by each individual connection.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Looks great and runs good. Had no problems installing the actual controller.

Cons: None....well due to the type of case i have i cant shut the door on the front of my case. to fix it i just mounted the fan controller about 1/3" farther back in the floppy drive Bay and still looks and works fine.

Other Thoughts: The reason I purchased this product was due to a upgrade in a pwr supply. went from 550watts to 1000watt. the new one ran my fans real slow. and the leds were not a bright. the fan controller fixed all of this.

4 out of 5 eggsGood FC

Pros: Nice look. Smooth operating knobs (seem to be digital).

Cons: Hard to plug and unplug the power input, but how often do you do that?

Other Thoughts: Could be in a little better housing, but for $20 and 4 channels, you can't beat it.

2 out of 5 eggsmeh

Pros: extra lights. looks important

Cons: doesn't really do much. no actuall off switch. just changes the pitch of the fans.

Other Thoughts: I have two 120mm and two 60mm fans running off this thing and I can barely tell the difference when all the dials are at full and when they're at the lowest. the blue lights look cool though.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Best

Pros: Awesome fan controller! It drives all four of my Antec Tri Cool fans at full tilt. Absolutely the best on the market.

Cons: The unit is very shallow which makes for tough plug-ins.

4 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Controls yo fans. LED's look good, not too bright. They don't light up the room but get your attention. Uses that floppy drive bay you get tired of looking at.

Cons: Creates a horrible high pitched noise, similar to the mosquito ringtone. Seems like when I had the knob turned all the way to the right (high), it would still create the noise.

Other Thoughts: I made the mistake of buying this and putting low dB fans (20-25dB) on it. I couldn't take the noise anymore. Took it out and I am going to save it when my fans are loud on my next build. I don't understand why the black one cost more.

4 out of 5 eggsNice look, Okay Quality

Pros: Nice look, LED's are bright. Build quality is good.

Cons: I thought the PCB the connectors attach to were a little flimsy- if you're not too rough it'll be fine.

Other Thoughts: The knobs don't allow you to turn off the fans, only turn them down, which is nice- I wouldn't want to accidentally leave them off. Also- keep in mind the knobs stick out from your front panel, so if you PC has a front door, it may not close unless you recess the panel, or somehow adjust the door.
